Super helpful and laid back dudes running the place. I’m a total beginner but they made me feel comfortable. No elitism. They know their stuff. If I decide to get lessons this is where I’m going without question. The price is great, a real bargain for not only the board rental but wheels or roof straps to help you get your board around. Just a perfect example of what every local shop should aspire to. The Stokes was playing when I was in there, so automatic 5 stars, but they earned it anyway.

Its a small shop but it was our first time in a surf shop and we loved it! Joseph helped us and he was extremely nice and knowledgeable. My son got his first real skimboard and is Super excited to use it.

The name says it all. Best quality surfboards in Waikiki at an amazingly reasonable price. Second time renting from these guys and they will be the only place I rent boards from whenever Im in Oahu. After checking places close to my hotel I decided it was well worth the trek to Quality. They were super helpful with local info, I rented a great board for the week, and the price was very reasonable. I cannot recommend them more.

On my way back from Auckland, New Zealand I stopped in Hawaii for a surf and everyone there was super nice and super helpful on finding the right place to surf! Visiting Waikiki we found this very nice surf shop. The guys are extremely nice and correct.We rent some longboards for a very affordable price, 5 mins walk from the waikiki beach.Here, for 20 dollars/day, you rent authentic surfboards made by Hawaiian Shapers. Not some Chinese plastic board like you see on the sand for 20 dollars/hour.Mahalo

Absolutely the best surf rental of Hawaii, with an amazing price- quality ratio. I travelled trhought the islands for some weeks, and the level of surf rental is so poor...Here i found every kind of really good surfboard i could immagine, i had only need to choose. We had a great experience with Quality Surfboards. Employees were very kind, friendly, informative, and helpful. After a full day of surfing we returned the surfboards and they could see we were quite tired and dehydrated so they gave us two fruit drinks at no charge. Very affordable rentals with great service! Would definitely recommend.

Had an amazing experience renting here! Was looking to rent a shortboard for 4 days and these guys helped me find a great board and gave some clutch suggestions on where to ride and what might be fun to ride given the current conditions. Although I had some issues with the board I selected, they were completely helpful and comfortable with letting me swap out the board for something else. Definitely the ideal choice for renting in Oahu - do yourself a favor and go here!

Quality surfboards is the best value and most real surfboard and SUP place in Waikiki. We rented a SUP for the day for $30, the staff are super friendly, down-to-earth and helpful, the SUP was in great condition and we had a great day with it. The staff were also helpful for tips on where to go. We will hire for a week next time we are back in town.

One of the best surf shops we have been to out of the 20+ shops we visited throughout the islands. The staff was super helpful and knowledgeable.We grabbed a surfing lesson through the shop with Poulu lani 10/10 recommend. Rick took us out to a less populated area on Honolulu.Super patient and very personable. He will get you up and riding in no time!

This I the only establishment I have ever felt the need to review. The staff here is super knowledgeable and friendly. Even if youre not familiar with the area or even surfing itself they make you feel totally safe. Great prices, but like I said the staff here was wonderful. Next time Im in Honolulu I will be stopping by for sure.

$20 buc’$ for a fiberglass board!!! And that is all day rental. Located right across from Hilton.They also have a map of where to surf base on experience. So ask questions.

Save your time and money looking for a board rental spot on your trip. Super accommodating to my specific equipment needs board/ fins/leash. They rent true quality gear, for someone surfing my whole life I was able to find a setup I actually prefer over my personal one back home. Plus, swap boards depending on conditions! Definitely not worried about bringing my board if I can ever make it back to South shore oahu! Thanks guys!

Extremely convenient. Parking is free in the lot below the store. The surfboards here are very professional and in excellent condition. You cannot get quality board rentals like this anywhere else. Excellent selection. Other surf rentals have banged up boards with very limited selection.They also have professional bodyboard with fins for one package price.We also rented new Tommy Bahamas umbrellas and chairs.Prices are very competitive. Unbelievable how can get great gear for such a good price!! We rented for 11 days and really made out trip memorable.Lastly great service. Easy to trade out boards any time any day.

Rented surfboard for $20 for the whole day. People working there are super friendly and very helpful for someone has little experience as I am. A little walk to the beach but they lend out a carrier to make it a little easy to carry the board to the beach.

Jason has the best deals in town on surfboard, SUP, beach chairs whatever. He also sells pretty much anything beach or surf related in his tiny little shop by the Wailana Coffee shop. Dont rent from the Waikiki beach rentals. Jason only charges $20 per day... yes PER DAY. There is cheap parking in the basement so you can load up your gear for you beach destination. Jason can even set you up with affordable surf lessons!!

Keep my board here in storage, have rented numerous times when friends and family join me. Really friendly staff and great service. You actually get personal service here... Unlike many other parts of Waikiki. Rental rates are the cheapest Ive found. Short 5-10 min walk to beach via the Hilton. Done it hundreds of times, part of the fun! :)

I have been renting from these guys for years, and they are great. They have very reasonable rates and a great stock of boards. They are polite and friendly, even too kooky east coasters like me. They are very flexible on timing, swapping out boards, etc. I hope they keep up the great work... and maybe add a few more surf SUPs to their inventory!

These guys are awesome! Rented a fun board for $20 a day. Great board in perfect condition. Brought it back a couple hours later, exhausted after a really fun session. They charged $15 with a military discount, and even gave me a POG for the walk back to the hotel. I’ll be renting from them every time I come to Hawaii!!!

Really good selection at very reasonable prices. Perfect for travelers looking to avoid airline fees. If you have a rental car, or are just looking to surf Ala Moana then this spot is perfect. My wife and I had boards for five days, and easily exchanged them for different breaks and conditions. They even hook you up with the wax and stickers!

Great rental company with one of (if not the number one) cheapest surfboard rental rates in Honolulu. Easy walk from the store to waves from beginner to intermediate levels out in front of the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Wanna hit a wave farther away, or rent a couple boards together? No problem! They provide wheels to pull the boards so you dont have to carry them! These guys treat me right time and time again, I literally cant say enough good things about them!

Helpful staff showed me some nice board options to rent. They have soft tops, Surftechs, and standard glass boards. Everything there is in good condition and a good daily rental price. In comparison, I felt bad for some of the folks that were hauling around the beach stand rental options!

Perfect if you have a vehicle.We rented surfboards for $20 a day (a beach-side place was $25 for 2 hours), could exchange them at any time, plus the lady at the counter gave us advice and straps to attach the boards to our car.Warning: it would be pretty far to carry, but if you have a car, you can park briefly for free in the downstairs lot.

We rented some boards here for a few days. they were good boards and we got good information on breaks in the area. The problem was that we got charged for a whole extra day that we didnt even use the boards. We picked up the boards in the late afternoon after the shop guy talked us into getting the boards right away instead of waiting until the next day as we had planned. Upon returning the boards less than 72 hours later I was surprised at the charge for 4 days. No amount of convincing would sway them. Thats a pretty skeevy policy that they were not up front about, especially when they talked us into picking them up early. Id recommend going with Hawaii Surfboard Rentals instead.

20$ for first day surfboard rental, 15$ for consecutive days. 30$ for first day of Sup rental, 25$ for consecutive days. Pay when you take the board back. New day starts after 20:00 (8pm) so if you deliver the board back in the morning you still have to pay for a full day.

This place is great. Friendly and accommodating. I came to Oahu from Las Vegas. First things first. You gotta park downstairs and they will validate. That was the only confusing part. Anyways, Im a big guy. I rented a board and wasnt having much luck catching waves. I called the shop and they recommended a board that would better suit me. They traded it out without question. They didnt charge me extra or anything. We also rented snorkeling stuff. For a week of snorkeling and bodyboarding, it costed less than a daily rental at the beach. These guys are great!!

Best place to rent a surfboard or stand up paddleboard in all of Waikiki! For an all day, SUP rental its only $25 & includes everything (leash, paddle, board, & wheeling device with an attached bike lock). Right across the street at the Hilton its $40 for just ONE hour. Total rip-off!Quality Surfboards also sells organic surfboard wax for $2 & tries to sell sunscreens that dont damage the ocean. Unfortunately, they do sell sunscreen with oxybenzone which kills the coral reef & legislatures are trying to outlaw in Hawai`i so be careful about what you choose.They also sell cool stickers including Nirvanas Nevermind album cover.
