I recently found this park when I was driving around Hilton Head and am glad I did. Its a very nice park and peaceful. We took a mid-morning walk and had the place to ourselves. Paths were clearly marked, and there were several to take. I really recommend. Im looking forward to going back.

What a sleeper preserve! We honestly weren’t expecting much but our visit today rivaled other much larger parks. Many plants/trees are identified with small signs (love the loblolly pines & there are several magnificent live oaks & magnolias). We met a big gator lounging half on the shore, saw deer, a small green snake and so many birds. Such a tranquil spot in the midst of the island. Audubon is aptly named. Will definitely come back on our next visit.

What an awesome area! Found a geocache here or we would not have realized it was here. Lovely protected land in the midst of all this new development. We felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. Great place for a human walk but I think it said no dogs allowed so as not to scare the wildlife that resides in the preserve.

So nice that someone preserved a little bit if this and kept it available to the public. We visited around Christmas and said hi to the alligator. I imagine in high tourist season this would be more if an oasis.
