What to say about Chaplin Community Park?Great natural park with beach access, parking, public bathroom, huge lawn to play anything in and showers to rinse off salty water. Its surrounded by big and beautiful homes. Will certainly go back.

Great public tennis courts, lighted at night. Many other nice amenities including dog park and good beach access.

Places to ride a bike and play sports there are soccer fields theres a dog park and a very large playground for kids to play on. Highly recommended to go and visit if youre looking for a change of scenery. Theres also access to some wetlands for some really good fishing opportunities out back.

Review for the playground only ! I wouldnt take my kid to this playground again. Roots sticking out of the ground, falling over DANGER. Sometimes hard to see them. As a Google Local guide I am confidently giving my first one star review to this playground (not the park) due to the root issue. The ground of the playground is not maintained properly. FYI: Hard to find the playground, sings are hard to see. Use the dog park parking lot, the playground behind the basketball court.

Dog park is the best park Ive seen. Free parking. Toys and running water for the dog . All the people were friendly and dogs can run without leashes

The off-leash area is large, heavily shaded, has areas for large and small dogs and water inside. It is not very well marked. you cant see it from the parking lot. You have to follow a path to get to it.

We took a break from the beach for an afternoon and we had a great time here! The playground area was large, had varied equipment, and was well shaded. The bathrooms were clean, lighted well and well ventilated. Only drawback was the snake smashed in the road (eek!!), but my little boys loved seeing him ;) Also, the cameras posted everywhere give a great sense of security.

I loved this place! Very peaceful. It wasnt busy at all when I went. There were huge open fields, several pavilions, and they have a basketball court and softball field. Also, it wasnt too far of a walk to the beach access. I definitely recommend this whether you own a dog or not, its great.

There are two dog parks depending on dogs size. They are free! Lots of shade provided from the trees. I recommend using bug spray before going. I ended up leaving after about 15 minutes due to the amount of bites I was getting.

Great community park, our kids do a wide variety of sports through the rec center here. Includes baseball, soccer feilds, playground, basketball and tennis courts.

My kids enjoyed playing on the playground, but it was hard to find.

Visited the dog park. Good size park with separate area for smaller dogs. Lots of tennis balls there for fetch games. Water available. Fencing is sound. Lots of trees for shade. Some benches for the dog parents. Entrance is double fenced for safety. Nice soft ground surface. Other dog owners were attentive to their pets so it was a very good experience.

We discovered this park last year while staying at a house across the way. We loved exploring the trails and playing on the playground. They have bathrooms, basketball courts and much more we have yet to discover!

I dont own a dog, but the park is great for dog owners, ample space, and separate fence, if needed to breed your dog.

Their should be more parking spots. But no more trees down. Just figured it out.

A nice place dog park where your dog can run without a leash.

Nice park in a beautiful area close to Burke’s beach. We took our dog to the dog park and they have a small dog section and a big dog section. Big dog section full of dogs having a great time. There were no dogs in the small section so our dog had no other pups to play with. Will try again, but a little worried as there is no grass and lots of brush and weeds and leaves, etc and scared snakes would come out of hiding or other critters or insects... but hey, it’s an outdoor park, so... I do wish there was grass to cut down on all the dirt a bit as she was full of dirt from head to tail.

This park is beautiful and most importantly it was great facility for dogs! Well groomed with all needs addressed: baggies, disposal, water fountain and secular areas for varying size dogs. Of course, the best happiest people, are dog people, so every visit is fun

The dog park is the BEST! Very spacious and has enough benches for most. Also has 2 water stations. Our pup just loves coming to make friends and socialize!

Ive never seen a park like this! It starts off as a pretty normally park with a playground, basketball courts, soccer fields, and paths. As you progress the trails become more of a jungle with large curvy trees, vines, exotic plants, and ponds spotting the sides. Eventually, the trail becomes unpaved and goes through a beautiful marsh! Its filled with wildlife and has site of the beach!I got distracted and didnt take as many pictures as I wish I couldve.

Great place to play tennis for free at a public park during the day, not crowded at all in early May and courts in great shape. Also 2 full court basketball courts where the lights stay on until 10pm. Lights do not turn on at the tennis courts.

Great access to Burkes Beach on Hilton Head island. Free parking then walk through a short trail to the access. Havent checked out the rest of the park.

Great facilities for the dog park alone, but theres open spaces, walking trails, the beach, bathroom facilities and tennis. I applaud the Town of Hilton Head Island for investing in all the welcoming spaces for locals and visitors alike.

Easy walk to the beach. Parking was free at park entrance. Metered parking at the beach access point.

Mostly this park is for kids at the local schools to play their soccer games. But you can park in their parking lot and walk out to the beach from there, and its my favorite part of the beach on Hilton Head because there is a tributary that flows into the marsh as you walk to the right and during certain currents it is so strong that you can use it like a lazy river
