The entrance for snorkeling or swimming is a little rocky. The water temp varies from 65 to 82 because there are underwater fresh cold water springs. When you enter it is the lower temp. If you swim or snorkel further out to experience the warm water, all of a sudden you can get a real cold flow when you pass over the underwater cold springs.

Beautiful beach! Lots of locals enjoying this lovely swimming spot. it was a really nice spot for snorkeling; we saw several schools of fish and even a few crabs. We are going to miss our time on Hawaii, but we are glad we got to see this particular little spot of paradise. Aloha!

A spot that is most common for the islanders. Fresh springs seeps through the ground making the ocean a mixture of sea/fresh water. And the beautiful mix of sea animals, creatures as well as many blends of Nationalities.

Puhi bay is the best site for friends and a picnic.. swimming is also amazing with the ice cold water here

Keaukaha Beach Park aka Hawaiian Village is a small area connected to other small areas - Puhi Bay, Bare Balls, Keaukaha Beach Park, Chocks, etc. All shoreline areas without constant ocean waves hitting the shore smells bad. Thats how you know who are visitors and who are residents! Visitors complain, residents move to the better spots! If our shorelines bother you, go to the westside!

This is a spot of real beauty. Swimming is available and there is a large area where the kids could run. The best part is that it is off the beaten track and is under utilized. We were virtually alone with all the beauty. An amazing feeling. Could have spent more time that we didnt have.

Great snorkel spot but tons of urchins so you have to know what youre doing. Great spot to see turtles too. There is no sand really, just the typical rock coast.

Bathrooms are always filthy. Not a good place for your small kids. There is lots of field space for games tho.

Nice. Bit of a walk to the water. Not really a beach to walk on,but if youre brave enough to jump in from Rocky areas there is swimming. Plenty of grassy areas.
