Butte Park

Its a great place to go on a family hike.. Get to the very top and find a cross as well as a great view of the land scape

Love the walking trails. The view from the top is awesome. The rest of park is great as well.

Super cool place. Its a nice 5-10 minute walk up to have a nice view of all of Hermiston. Overall good experience

Nice park to have lunch which I did the grass was nice green despite the ants attack their food while we were talking dont need on the grass while youre talking

Great place to take kids to play

Not much else to do around the area but this was a pleasant surprise. The views were great and the hike to the top was nice. It wasnt too strenuous and it didnt take long at all. I wish there was an open path to the park right next to it. It looks like there used to be but we couldnt get through the fence. This would be a great Saturday walk for the family. Or if youre driving through on a road trip and want to stretch your legs, this is the perfect place to do that.

There is no longer a kids park. And the splash park is closed thanks to the virus. Everything fenced in.

Every year more shrubs and trees are taken down to make the park look nice and the park just keeps getting more and more windy

This even was awesome! It was set up for ages little to 12 & they had the perfect games and events for all those ages! So fun and such a beautiful day. Very glad the schools pushed this event it seemed to be a great turnout!

Great view and the air smell good

Great multi use field and the spray park is nice for families with a nice hike up the butte. The soccer nets are only pulled out in late summer to fall played by an organized group and are chained for the rest of the year. Which means you cant just show up to play a pickup game on an empty field because they chain the nets. If you do play after AYSO has finished, they just yell at you and tell you to leave.

Beautiful park. Lots of childhood memories here and the restorations to the pato over the years is amazing. Contibutors signs visibke and a personal thank you to every one who has kept this place beautiful and fun for every one.

Sprayground for hot days, accessible. Periodic nighttime arson sometimes causes closures, but community efforts continue to maintain a safe and engaging place for kids to play. Also a nice spot to stop for lunch.

The splash park is awesome! Super cold water jets are such fun on a hot summer day! It was nice to have the nature hike to the butte option, along with sitting at a picnic table in the shade while the kids play. Bathrooms dont have doors, so beware no privacy. Playground is still down for repairs.

Bathrooms were closed, glass on the ground,and the garbage needed to be emptied.

Place is great but was better with fun land. Still the spray park is still operational. Great for picnics and fun day at a park.

What a awesome park. It just sad that someone try to burn the children area.The water park is great. Hope it doesnt take to long to rebuild the the burn area

Big opwn area used to be home to one of our most beloved parks called fun land but after the second time itburnt down the towm feels a little discouraged

This is the best park I have ever seen for kids of all ages. There is something for every age group and it really spiked my sons imagination.My son is 3 and he was able to do everything. They have stuff for older kids and separately there are sections for older kids.

This has been one of my favorite Parks in Hermiston. When I was younger it was because of the playground equipment, but now I find it great because I walk my dog there occasionally. Spring is my favorite time to go there as there are plant that bloom during this time of year.

This park has been built 2 times now. And 2 times it has been set on fire by arsonist. Y would someone burn a childrens park down? I hope they catch u and locks u up 4 a real long time.

Decent park lots of room... But.. it seems to be half broken and poorly maintained in parts.I take my son here quite often and he really enjoys it, but many of the wooden toy structures are showing their age and a lot of them are broken and unusable.I also used to like to go here to have the kids play with the built in musical instruments but those too are a thing of the past and gone out broken.The park as a whole is massive and there is plenty of open grass to play football, soccer, or pretty much any other sport you can think of.There is ample room to fly a drone or things like that. Also right next to the park is the butte which is a Hermiston landmark and you can hike and climb to the top if you do desire.So overall this park is quite decent and though the kids Playland is half functional my son still likes it a lot. It is surely in need of an upgrade or some form of proper maintenance as even the half wood chip covered ground is dirt and sand and the weed barrier is coming up all over the place.You should have a great time when visiting this park but on the same note... It could use a touch of some tender loving care to bring it back to its full potential.

I Love these Park

They really need to maintain this park better, especially with how frequented it is. The bathroom is horrendous, and barely better than a port a potty. Not even soap to wash your hands. The structures are falling apart, and even unsafe in some areas. Watch your children closely! Please. The grass fields are usually looking good, for soccer and what not. Nice place to fly a kite. Has swings, a younger kids play area, wall climbing, large wooden castle type play structure, picnic tables (covered and uncovered). Has water fountain and plenty of parking, usually crowded in summer. The spray park at the end of the lot is incredibly unsafe, many children have been seriously injured there. Hopefully they repair it and find better safety measures to put in place. Be cautious!

Great place to take my kids

This is a really nice little park in hermiston behind the park is a medium sized butte you can hike on there is a huge really nice playground with castles combines and mazes for the kiddies and during the summer there is a fountain park water feature to cool yourself off in.

Location for the annual firework display in Hermiston. Good soccer fields also.

Now trust me when I say Ive seen a lot of parks. Im like a park expert I know my parks inside and out and this park is a quality park. I went to park school and graduated with like all As. Now that you know how much I know about parks you can truly understand how much you need to go to this park because its just such a quality park. Stop what your doing right now and go to the Butte park.

Soccer fields, splash park and close to the pool

Public restrooms are dirty, play ground is a little dangerous for kids because other teenagers or adults always make the environment dirty and its always something missing from the that park. Ex: the wood fence, or the monkey bars getting dent or something sharp on it.

Love the Butte! Excellent workout, sometimes 3 visits per week. There are at least 3 different trails to the top.

Great place to take the kids. The butte is a nice walk. Nothing very challenging. Funland is right beside the butte has a great play structure for the kids.

Very nice park, is kept up. lots of structures and activities, different sections for different ages although youre allowed to play anywhere no matter the age.OUTSIDE PLAYPLACE..... Sprinkler park nearby . Large grass field nearby. Good place for sledding in the winter (big safe Hill nearby) . Plenty of shade and gazebo thingy nearby too.

I used to love this park when I was a kid, but it has really gone downhill. It is dirty, dusty, covered in graffiti, and has not been kept up well. Many structures and toys were broken and looked like they have been for a long time. The splash park is okay, but way too much water pressure.

Ive lived in the HERMISTON,OR area off and on since 1984...Butte Park is a Beautiful, well maintained, Safe Park, with many ammenities! I have brought my 4 children here when before they were Grown, and now they bring their children!!! Its a Great park for young and elderly alike!!!

Biggest park and n hermiston, has a splash pad to cool off in the summer. Short hike to the top of the butter, great for kids

Nice park with walking paths. Restrooms and playground equipment. Grass is always nice and green.

Lots of things to do here like play in the park and you can get shave ice at tiki hut but its only open in the summertime and you can also got wet in the mini water park next to the park also only open in the summertime and play soccer walk up the butte take pictures have picnics and much more

Good place to take kids for them to release energy. Unfortunately the restroom is closed during the winter months.

Clean and up to date.

This park at first glance, and probably to most children is an epic play structure, however a closer eye will show the one awesome musical section broken. Miscellaneous boards and support beams broken or cracked, and fading paint.It would do the city well to keep up repairs for this park that used to be the bees knees.As for the water pad, it is a blast for all ages. Some of the water sprayers werent as misty as youd expect and just gushed water, and some areas didnt spray water at all, but I cant tell if thats the set up, or if its breaking down.

Very nice park however always something new is broken the teenagers or older children are hard on it now the tire swing is gone and bathrooms need some work however its a nice park overall with the spray/water park right next to it. However hours are currently limited for water spray park..

Love the water park especially on hot days! This could use a closer bathroom and the one near soccer field needs curtain or doors or something so you can pee in peace! It was a lot better last year! They just had fixed it up and its torn apart again :/ its a great place and the kids love playing there also nice hill hiking for beginners. They try and to keep it clean which is not always easy with how busy it gets. Normally consider this park a 4+ however it is in need of work(repair)

It has a playground, water park in the summer, big field for sports and a walking trail to the butte! Good for all ages!
