Great amenities, easy access to bike/walking paths, and lots of parking. Playground is varied with a lot of options but its starting to show its age. Overall, a very good park.

If you want to learn how to garden with native plants, start by visiting the demo garden at Acacia Park. It was built by the Conservation District of Southern Nevada and they know their stuff. Not only do the signs show you what to plant, theres even explanations about composting and pavers. Its a wonderful botanical walk and a great learning experience. The park has a baseball diamond. There are seats to watch the games. Theres a dug out for the teams.Theres also a paved basketball court. This park has four large meadows for group gatherings. In addition, it has two covered picnic areas with barbecues. Its the perfect place for a kids birthday party or a romantic al fresco meal. There are two dog park areas and a drinking fountain for both dogs and humans. There are two doors to enter the park so your dog doesnt bound away. The people are really helpful and work with the doors if you have a rambunctious puppy like mine! (Miss Gracie is the Irish setter in the photos.)The bathroom are amazing clean for a park. The commodes are push button. Yes! Theres even a handicap stall. The park is part of the Union Pacific Railroad Trail. Acacia Park is actually the trail head for the 7.3 mile trail. The paved trail sits alongside actual working train tracks.Theres plenty of FREE parking. Its easy to get to since its in the elbow between the 215 and the 95.

Clean, and overall a great layout. Lots of nice grassy areas and a walking trail around perimeter. Dog parks are clean, but hardly any dogs.. This may be influenced by the time/day. Quite a variety of areas for mixed use. My dog and I will return.

Acacia Park is a great neighborhood park in Henderson. The playground is covered and well-maintained. For older kids, there is a baseball field, basketball court, plus ample space for soccer or general play. Two different fenced areas for dogs and dont forget to clean up after your canine. Picnic areas are on both sides of the park, but the covered ones next to the playground offer four grilling spots for each of the two covered areas, so 8 grills total. The bathrooms are clean. For those playing Pokemon Go, youll find two gyms and about 8 Pokestops at the time of this review.

My two toddlers loved the park. They dont have sand or bark. This makes me so happy because my little girl loves to throw sand and eat bark. Instead they have that really nice rubbery ground! They have four swings. Two of which are for the tinier tots. They have slides. Not sure how many. Four? Five? Theres a rock wall. Im using the term loosely. Its more of a wide grey staircase that is unevenly spaced. Theres a few other things like that they can climb on. And of course they have regular stairs to climb up if the tot is tinier. In May theyll have their splash pad too.The only drawback is their benches. They are farther from the park than Id like. They are in a great position for the splash pad. But for now, if I want to be within chasing distance of my kids, I have to sit on the rubbery ground. There are hills on the other side of the park. And right at the top is the road. They should have benches between the park and the hills to make more of a barrier from the danger. Plus the benches will be close enough to the park I could run after my kids if they misbehave. But for now, Ill sit on the grass there, or on the rubbery ground. If they misbehave we leave any way. Also, theres a bathroom. And they have a grass field. They have a running trail around the park. Its cement. The trail is lined with beautiful plants. Very scenic. They also have a baseball field.Definitely love this park.

My house for the last 10 years is directly across the street from the park. Easily the nicest park in the Valley. Great amenities like 2 dog parks, baseball field, soccer and football field, basketball court, running track, water fountains for the kids to play under in the summer and plenty of shade trees. The namesake of the park is the best feature. At the southeast corner is the Acacia Demonstration Garden. It has dozens of desert plants growing in their natural environment that are labeled as to usage, growing habits, native habitat etc. It is a great walk. As a retired golf course superintendent I can tell you it is such a good experience that I would take my entire crew there on a sort of fun/educational get some time away from the course field trip every year. The park is always clean, well maintained and policed. Never any problems in the park...a great experience.

Feature wise: This is a great park. My wife recommended it, on accident (mixed it up with another park) for my daughter and I to visit for Pokemon stops. Turns out is has them but its also quite, has several play places, a walking path, a water pad, several picnic benches, bathrooms, and more.Safety wise: Its kept clean and the cops came through twice while I was there just patrolling (one of them got out and walked around a bit before leaving the other one just drove through).Really liked this park, ended up taking the whole family to play later in the day, and will come back even though we live in Mts Edge area.

This is an every day (or night) experience when I walk my 3 dogs. The Acacia Demonstration Park is a beautiful walking area where you can find many different types of plants, trees, and wildlife, with descriptions of the various plants (for those looking to find what grows throughout the region). The park offers amazing facilities like super clean restrooms, huge play areas, a few baseball fields, a couple dog parks, and an expance of the greenest grass around. I definetly recommend visiting this amazing park for any and everyone. From those having a romantic evening picknick, home gardeners, outdoor lovers, dog walking, or if you just want a moment to take in the beauty, Acacia Park is the place to be! Come check it out! Its another beautiful day and hey, you might even see me and my woofs!!
