Excellent place for cardio if you want to run around the park. There used to be a homeless issue there but they have since banned them from the park which makes it more safer. Play structure needs some work however with rusty swings and graffitied structures. Fair amount of fun for kids but I would still choose this place for exercise rather than for kids in the play structure.

I like to walk, there are many trees and it is a wide space, but there are all the fauna, many squirrels, and different birds. a beautiful place.

This is a great park with lots of green grass and close to a library. Enjoy this park for now because it will change in the future.

It was so amazing spending new years at Great America. It was family friendly, they gave us Party hats and noise makers to welcome the new year. It was most definitely a winterfest to remember. Thanks for giving us an Unforgivable memories.

To many ghetto people here. I decided to take my daughter to a cleaner park in Castro Valley. It was worth the drive.

The walking trails were dirty. Parking is bad and there are addicts and winoes there.

Very popular park on the weekends - especially when the weather is warm. Lots of open space, picnic tables, a couple of tennis courts, a basketball court - that is quite popular, a baseball diamond where games are common, a community center and library. There is a walking path around the park, but that path is quite treacherous because it is very uneven as tree roots have pushed it up in places. The park is usually quite clean. Mariachi music can often be heard here with Mexican family celebrations. Not a good place to visit after dark, but quite a lovely place during daylight hours.

Its a nice park. Library, baseball fields, and basketball courts within walking distance. Other than the broken slides, and bums in the fields, its a decent playground.

Its a very nice park safety as also very clean i high recommended for morning activitys

Lots of groups of kids shooting hoops while a baseball game was going on right next to it. Friendly people and not crowded.

A great park where you can either play baseball, basketball, tennis, soccer or even just enjoy a walk in the park surrounded by huge trees.If you are looking also for a library or a kids playground this is the perfect park everything in one place.

Needs more maintenance, a little dirty

We enjoy our visits to the park after visiting the library. I have noticed that the park is in desperate need of major repairs. Hope the city of Hayward takes accretion soon.

This is a cool little community park. Has different games and slides for kids and a barbecue area with sitting place. Nice for small parties too.

Its a calm place if you just want to relax. Just sittimg there or taking a walk with earbuds in your ears listening to music. Can really take your stress off or just be there to have a little fun you know. Or you can throw a little party and hang out with friends. I spend most of my time there to chill and it can really calm your stress a little.

This place has great upper end craft skill classes sponsored by the Hayward Arts & Recreation Department.

Parking area is small and often packed. The park is dirty and littered everywhere. The only cool thing is the library.

Its a nice park. bus line 37 drops off on the western side of the park. the northern end of the park has basketball and tennis courts.be careful at night only the walk way is lit up. sometimes you have bums sleeping in the park.weekes library is also at the park. and the community center also has allot of workshops, classes, and events.bathrooms are by the softball field.

Cool great place to have good party

Lots of homeless running around here. Witnessed drug use and needles being discarded into bushes. The park is well kept and nice looking but there are hidden dangers that could harm children.

Great trail for exercise around the park

Park usually is full on warm or hot days. Animal farm and rides for kids as well for adults to enjoy with their children. Great park for bdays or for fun....

I always come here, and its great but the only thing I hate its that theres always a group of men near where the statue is, and they always hang out in there. It wouldnt bothered me if they wouldnt have stating problems. I was trying to go for a run with my children, and one of the guys was trying to hit on me. I was wearing pants and a sweater not trying to cause attention. After 3 laps around the park I got tired of it and flip him off and went home. In my opinion he was onto something maybe alcohol, or high but just be careful with your kids if you go to this park. Always supervise them. I dont understand why people think the park its a night club. Other than that, I love how much shade there is. The library its next to it. No restrooms. Theres a running track of cement. The playgrounds are quite old but practical. No sand. Theres a basketball, baseball and tennis court. Theres plenty of grass area. It has picnic areas. Recycling trash cans.
