Very clean 90% of the time. Grounds are usually well kept and not overgrown. The pond is periodically stocked with fish. Has a small playground and wading pool thats used in summertime. Only negative is sometimes the algae buildup around the pond doesnt look the greatest but this isnt something thats easily controlled.

I just moved here from out of state and was impressed by the beauty of Hastings Heartwell Park! It is well maintained and manicured!

My family enjoys going here. The little pool is perfect for little kids but the fishing part is usually gross you seem to catch more trash than fish. But its a nice area to take a walk around.

Feeding the ducks at Heartwell is one of my favorite summertime activities. Even if the ducks arent interested, the fish love when you throw food in the water, and sometimes a turtle will come over too.

Its a great park to go for a walk or play with the kids! There is a pond to fish in and is relaxing to sit around. A playground is available as well as a small pool that is free for everybody to swim. The pool is very shallow so it is great for kids.

It is one of my favorite parks to go to. The nice thing is the parks are supposed to close at like 11 or so but it is so close to the college that others including LEOs usually leave you alone if you are walking or jogging late at nightAlso bring bread bc there is ducks to feed and fishing is great (probably wouldnt eat them).

We love this park in Hastings, NE. My sister is lucky enough to live right across from Heartwell Park, & we get to visit her 2x a year. There are ducks, geese & many squirrels (black and red) to entertain you. Feeding the ducks, fishing & walking, riding & running around the lake are some of the other activities available at this great city attraction.

This park is very cool. Love to walk there in the evening!

This place is a hidden gem!

Heartwell Park has a little swimming pool that is perfect for toddlers. The water is just a few inches deep, maybe 18 or so. There are swings, a slide, and best of all, there ducks and geese to feed. MANY adults walk around the park as it is one mile. The only downside is that a few people dont clean up after their dogs

Heartwell is a great community park! There is a kiddie pool, swings, playground, pond etc... Its great for picnics, birthdays, fishing, feed the ducks, jogging/running/walking, or anything you may want to do at a park. The city does a nice job keeping it clean. The pond could use a good cleaning sometimes, but its not that bad at all.

Nice relaxing family friendly park. This park offers fishing, a child play ground area, wadding pool and picnic tables. Feed the visiting ducks and geese and enjoy a quiet stroll around the beautiful water or have a seat on one of the many benches and read a book. Residents can be seen walking and jogging around this area and the city bike trail routes through this historic landmark. There is a picturesque bridge leading to a beautiful tree in the middle of the water, several water fountains and a trailing creek. It is a beautiful park for walking and feeding the ducks. Its not a park for kids, really. There is nothing to protect little kids from falling in the lake, if you arent carefully watching them. But it is beautiful and well maintained. Nice and quiet.

Fun place to go where kids can play. Great for a picnic. You can run, walk, or ride bikes on the trail and they have a little kid pool to play in.

Parks department take great care of this. Most likely because of the rich people that live around it.

Beautiful little gem of a park in the center of town, adjacent to Hastings College. Shady trees surround play and wading areas for the little ones, near picnic and fishing areas for all to enjoy. Lots of ducks and squirrels to feed as you make your way around the Parks mile long perimeter.

Nice place to jog, bike or walk as there is a wide well kept sidewalk around intire park that attaches to the community hike and bike trail. East end is part of Hastings College and your free to explore the campus. Has a pond and fishing is allowed, some fish species have posted notices. You can catch bullheads, catfish, bluegill, sun fish, stocked rainbow trout in early winter and late winter if weather is good.I have personal caught a 12lb & 10lb catfish out of the pond along with a small bluecat. Water in summer does smell due to all the bread that gets tossed in from ppl feeding the ducks and gets kinda mossy.

Coming from Columbia, this park was unexpected and is amazing.

This park has a nice bike/walking path on the south side, a couple swing sets, an island, ducks, a place where you can find turtles, a wading pool for little ones, and two Pokestops. I highly recommend visiting late in the evening when the fountains in the pond are lit up - its very picturesque.

Lovely park. Nice fall colors on trees at this time enhanced by the setting sun rays. Very relaxing with a little walking trail. Highly recommended

Real pretty Park they have a wadding pool for young children but I dont know if theyre going to keep it after this year or not as its getting older. They have playground equipment, and theres a lot of ducks and pretty scenery.
