Absolutely stunning.. very very well maintained with multiple picnic pavilions .. unsure about restrooms, but there are lots of walking paths to enjoy.

Very pretty park. Lots of pavilions with ample parking. Great walking and bike trails. Not sure why the drivable loop is closed, I guess you can spread Covid from driving as opposed to walking!?

This park is nice and has a trail ranging a few miles. There are also jungle gyms and places for kids to play.

Love this park lots of activities you can do here. Nice trails to walk or bike i do recommend it for anyone whos looking to get a fresh air.

Beautiful park, trails that are maintained well to walk and bike on. You almost forget you’re in the city. There’s also plenty of picnic shelters a basketball court, volleyball pit and a kid’s castle. My boys and I love going there.

Nice park, bathrooms place to park the car. Playground for the kids. Lots of places and trails to walk and ride your bike. Grill food.

Beautiful park. Lots of easy trails for a nice hike around. Just a little bit above a stroll difficulty-wise, so it feels like a workout. Also, nice facilities for cook-outs and such. I liked the bear carvings near the parking lot. Only 4 stars because the trails were hard to see because of the leaves all over the park.

My absolute favorite place in the city of Harrisonburg. Its like a lil wilderness right in the city.

Best morning walks in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. Perfect snow castle during winter for snowball showdown Great for family activities! Dogs welcome! Cats too (must have a leash)

I am a mountain biker who lives close to the trail park Great place to hammer out a ride after work for an hour. However, dont ride when its wet or damp. The limestone is slick as glass and the algae like covering on the trail and rocks is very slick too. When dry, one can pedal hard and have a lot of fun.

The woods give I a country feel in the city. Great place to walk, walk your dog, or visit nature.

Fun, the only park where I can get flashed around here

I havent been here in years. We had a great time. It wasnt crowded and looked very well taken care of. I highly recommend it

Have a large family reunion here every year for decades. Nice park, nice surroundings. Great for large groups

Cool park nestled in Harrisonburg. The park was extremely busy on the weekend. I would suggest going during the daytime. The trails are nice, bit we didnt get tp see the playground because it was to busy.

Hillandale is a more woodsy park than some of the others in Harrisonburg. They have shelters which you can reserve for picnics and parties. They also have a childrens playground and an exercising trail with various different equipment along it. They have a small basketball court, a volleyball pit, and a field for soccer.Hillandale is a great place for bird watching as well.

Good light weight city park for bike trails, very easy, trails are well marked. Has a nice walking trail too, gravel, very easy with park exercise stations along the way. My daughter and I went for the afternoon.

Very nice park with pretty decent mountain bike trails. The power line (I think thats the name) is a sweet downhill run with fast berms and small doubles that you can pump or jump. Let ot flow is an awesome.trail and if you like tech the res trails will keep you smiling.

Beautiful gravel trails, trail-side exercise equipment, and Childrens playground . Havent had a chance to experience the bike park, but neat for being tucked into the park. Plenty of covered patios for gatherings and water fountains.

Rocktown trails is great for beginners and intermediate riders (speaking as one). Ive ridden there every other day since moving to Harrisonburg a month ago and Im not even close to bored yet.

I also like that they have outdoor exercise equipment along one of the hiking trails. On a nice.day, a person could skip the gym and come here.

My gf and I just headed here to hangout and run and I stumbled upon the biking trails and was pleased to see how awesome they looked. I went back to my van and got my bike out. The trails were great, they had a super cool flow trail along with some more difficult rocky trails. Im not used to climbing up rocks so it was a bit challenging. The rest of the park was also great. They had tons of space for family activities and get togethers.

Trail running was fun. Well marked.

Great riding. And can be very technical.. I give it 5 stars because it is excellent for what it is. A technical series of connected short loops where you can get in a decent ride and workout. I rode this at night with an LED lighting system. Lots of boulders, and hairpin turns. Watch the trail markers because they sneak up on you very fast! If you like fast moving trails with more flow, you might consider another place. Want to work on your technical skills? This place is awesome. Great job!

This is a really nice park with lots of walking paths and pavilions theres not very much playground equipment but there is work out equipment on the walking path.

Quiet, clean, spacious. Some of the exercise equipment has fallen into disrepair, but other than that, well kept.

Always clean, hardly ever packed.

It was a great experience being there. It was beautiful scenery.

Nice city park with lots of covered picnic areas and BBQ grills. Creative walking trails with exercise equipment every few hundred feet which encourage children to keep walking. Another job well done by the city of Harrisonburg.

Lovely park with pretty trails, open grass as well as nice tall trees. Great picnic shelters and if youre a birdwatcher its great especially during migrations

HUGE park. Nice primitive trails to hike and nice paths for bikes. Bring your dog for a great tire-them-out walk.

Trails are fun but the signage is a bit of date.

Nice area to walk and relax. Trickling steam is running and play equipment is available for kids.

Mosquitos were bad today and the flood damage is still visible, but a great visit with the kids and puppy (her first time). Next time we are bringing our bikes to check out all the awesome bike trails

I go here everyday and sit in my car. It is a safe and peaceful environment.

Great walking trails, with silly exercise machines interspersed through the main trails. A couple are in need of repair to be useful, but most are fine for their intended purpose.

Excellent park! 1.25 miles trail for running, a basketball court, a kids playground, and many gazebo areas for parties and get-togethers.

Great city park complete with the Rocktown Trails. These trails are shared-use single-track dirt and rock trails for walking, running, and mountain biking. Trails are color coded for difficulty and were built and are maintained by the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition. In total, about 4 miles of trails.
