Its relaxing walking among nature. Once in a while you run into wild rabbit and birds singing. I wish there were chairs just to sit and enjoy time alone.

I mean, its a thicket. If you go in the day make sure to follow the small random trails. Theyre nice.

Grew up riding dirt bikes and mountain bikes in this area. Always been a great place to see birds.

Nice little park, well kept but unfortunately most people walking their dogs dont pick up after and that makes it look bad, these people with their pets need to understand that it is a public park and not an outdoor poop area for their own. There are some runners/walkers not sharing the road either, it is important for both walkers and runners to be on the correct side of the road but they seem not to care forcing each other off trail.

Such a peaceful place to take a walk or even go for a run. Just be careful for ticks and some of the wild animals there. The sunset and sunrise looks beautiful here.

Not many people here, but many ppl are probably still staying home. I took a star away because there was quite a bit of trash within the trees and brush. Lots of styrofoam cups and fast food wrappers. I wish ppl were more conscientious of the trash they leave behind. This area is not paved so I wouldnt use this park during rain as it becomes muddy in most areas. The neat thing is it connects to other parks so you can easily make it a very long walk/run if you prefer.

Beautiful! We need more places like this. Such a peaceful place. Love smelling the outdoor while I go for a run. I recommend it!

Could be nice. Covered with trash. Looks like nobody is taking care of the trails. Didnt use the bathroom, but I could smell it 30 yards away.

Fantastic for a nice walk out away from the bustle of the city. New markers are a welcome site to those who walk the trails.

Amazing scenery, however there is no water fountain. Fortunately though the area is not too large.

Its like being In the Thicker of Things, but downtown Harlingen too. Its a hidden treasure.

Nice place for a dog walk, I really hope they start ripping out all the invasive plant species at some point and do more like what is being done at Hugh Ramsey Park to restore Native Flora. For biodiversity Ill give it two stars based off of 5/5 for Hugh Ramsey Park for the number of bird/lizard species you will find here. Landscape wise it is a nice place to explore along the Arroyo Colorado walking trails and I visit near weekly.

This thicket seems to have the potential to much better if it would include more and wider trails. Many of the footpaths within are no wider than half a meter, and most are not paved with caliche making it impossible to traverse after rainfall. There do exist restroom facilities and a small pavilion within sight of the parking lot.
