For a great introduction to the history of Harlingen, this is a sure stop for you! Its not the largest museum, but what it offers is quaint charm, and an interactive experience. The tour is self guided and free. Support the museum with donations as it is a great way to keep the historical spirit of Harlingen alive.

This is a great way to relax by going through the museum. We had a surprise. My grand sons picture was displayed in 2 different places.

Great place to learn about and experience Harlingen history.Today 06/22/19 they had a mosaic butterfly making class for children, an art exhibit, a historical calendar exhibit, and the original restored hospital, and others are great.Take your children, its amazing how much has changed in only 100 years.

Beautiful facilities. Large chandeliers in the dining area, and building looks to be practically newly updated. Definitely a place where you could have a nice wedding reception

Although It is a small museum, it seems to be kept with care and joy. It was nice to know about a important part of the Harlingens history, its historical buildings and objects. When I went there, they were having a painting exposition by a lovely local artist and a historical calendars expo. I had a really nice time.

I brought my friend?Andrea and her?daughter Skya here today...hot outside but old buildings cool and a different beautiful as Andrea said. Mosaics and Butterfly Bonanza of kids artwork. Wow.

Enjoyed the quilts and the ladies have an excellent presentation.

Nice exhibits. A must see for newcomers to the valley like us. Admission is free!

Exciting to learn about the history of this small Texas city. A lot of the displays there are donated. Not busy during the week either. Really allowed me to spend my time throughout.Its free but donations are encouraged.

Great museum with a lot of history. The kids and I enjoyed it and will be back.

While it is a small museum (which youd expect from a small town), the exhibits are surprisingly well done, informative, and incredibly fun. They often rotate exhibits too, which keeps things fresh. The staff are very friendly and always happy to help you.Its definitely worth stopping by if theres an exhibit that you may be interested in! And if youre feeling charitable, theres always volunteering opportunities to take advantage of to have a chance give back to the community.

Upon entering the Art museum, you will sign in and be greeted by friendly faces, a truly welcoming and informative group of folks. There will be several different galleries to browse. These change periodically it’s always a fresh exhibit. Love it.I loved this Heritage museum. I felt incredibly refreshed visiting here. I know that is hard to believe or even odd to say. I was drawn in with the attention to detail, the cleanliness and meticulously maintained grounds.

Its a great location to sit and relax while look at art. Its usually pretty quiet in here and the people, at least when Ive been there, are much older. The staff are beyond helpful with any questions.

Interesting little museum that has such wonderful history about Harlingen. Would recommend all harlingen citizens to come and learn about there histort!

Great Christmas tree displays back in December 2018, I did enjoy the old town hospital building and the artifacts they had displayed.

My last coment didnt appear so to put it shortly, people will be suprised at how informative the museum is on Harlingen history and its neighbors. I can grantee that it is worth going too.
