This is a great place to go next to grand junction Colorado. Great view of the Colorado River and the surrounding cities.

This is a beautiful, peaceful area. There are some walking trails, most are moderate in difficulty. There is a covered sitting area, wonderful to read a book or just enjoy mother nature. Parking at the shelter is limited but other parking is available within a 1/2 mile. The amphitheater, gift shop and camping sites are within a mile.

This area also has some of the oldest Pinyon Pines.

Wonderful views as driving up the 1200 foot climb to the visitor center. Also there is an easy, mostly level hike from the visitor center along the cliffs edge.

Absolutely worth a stop if youre in the park. Phenomenal views with a very easy short walking trail nearby.

Beautiful canyon view reminiscent of the stunning monuments in the Moab Valley. The light colored sandstone makes for a vibrant contrast to the red clay and green cedars and pinyon pines. Definitely worth the scenic drive up from I-70 if youre passing through the area.
