BE CAREFUL ABOUT THE SUNSET PARK CLOSING TIME LIMITThey are quite strict about it, and me, in my classic forgetfulness, forgot about the sunset limit (8:15 pm) but managed to get to my car in record time (8:14 pm) to escape the patrol which was parked next to my lone car about to write a ticket. That being said, this is a fantastic park! Equipped with a playground, a wide stretch of forest as well as a large field makes it perfect for an event. Very well maintained and kept. That being said, I didnt see much people wearing masks throughout the park so be wary during COVID19 season.

It should just be made an off leash dog park since everyone there doesn’t have there dog on a leash. Frustrating for the people who do have there dogs on a leash. They take over every spot and field to play catch and let there dogs run free.... take your dogs to the off leash dog park don’t ruin this park for your laziness.

Flat, accessable, pet friendly. Picknic areas for small and large groups. Parking is free but a little tight at times. Restroom and ball diamond. I wish the parks department could learn how to water their trees. Once beautiful Redwoods are dying.

Beautiful park with pine trees and redwood trees and a lot of tables and shade. There are also flush toilets and a large green space for kickball/baseball/etc and also volley ball courts. The one drawback is that there are a lot of flies.

We got here sunday evening, it took a while to find an empty parking spot. However we didnt have a problem to find a bench and bbq. The restrooms were clean and even it had soap. Also the park has two larger event areas for larger parties and few volleyball courts.

This park has some of the most epic barbecue grills Ive seen. Theyre basically huge brick pits with movable grills above them; you could cook a ridiculously large quantity of food on these things.

I arrived from LA, Ca. to Goleta in 1974 till 1995, watched the park morphed from a rustic 50-60s Fort made from power poles around a Notty Oak tree, to a Moto cross bike park to a serene grass filled park it is today. Dirt clod throwing fights to a place you could take your little grand kids to; miss that old Fort.
