Love walking around this with the kids. Great for the family. Turtles, birds and fish all swimming around in the Lake is great to see.
From what I was able to see in the dead of night, it looked so serene that it was perfect for my mood.. I like it when places like this are quiet. It makes for much better experience with nature and a holistic approach. I will have to come back to this oasis in the day when the sun is not so hot.
Nice place for a walk, although some of the trails could be better maintained. And why is the bridge closed?? Nicer in the winter when the flowers bloom.
Its more like a pond than a lake, but its beautiful location to bike ride or walk by yourself or family.Basic bicycles can ride there. There is dirt trails that a mountain bike would be perfect, but theyre not to tough, where a touring road bike can do it.Plenty of birds and wildlife to check out. Also a lot of biodiversity to identify. Some people fish for recreation here, to catch and release. I believe the fish arent big enough to take home.
Nice walk, a little hot, but a lot of stuff to see. There is a gorgeous old Victorian house you can tour, an old ranch with equipment you can tour as well, and a lake. Granted, these were closed due to COVID restrictions, but it was still beautiful.
Great spot to walk or bike and take kids to see the ducks and swan
This park is family friendly. If you enter on the Low Carneros side there is lovely grass to sit and read or toss a frisbee. The trail that goes around the park does have been and snakes, so its go to keep a watchful eye.
This is a great place for a walk around the lake and kid nature play. My kids love to find a tree to climb and build a fort under with scavenged branches. The walk around the lake is just over a mile or more depending on the path you take. --Goleta Mom
One of our local favorite parks to explore! Great to ride bikes, watch birds, rest under the shade of a mighty eucalyptus tree, or just sit down with a good book.
Nice place for a pandemic stroll. Great birdwatching.
I cant believe I visited this place for years ago that long. I need to get back to it because the place is beautiful, very peaceful and surreal.
Great place to go, historic Stowe house and quite a few acres with lots of trails to walk on. Also theres a railroad museum next door.
Drag that they closed the bridge. Pretty sure its not actually dangerous for foot traffic, just in need of repair. Probably a typical Goleta overreaction. I hope Im wrong.
A beautiful park, not too crowded. Benches along the way if you want to appreciate the view.
A little slice of quiet amongst the 101. Listen to the birds, feed the ducks, and a really easy walk for seniors and young people with bad knees like me :)
A family favorite for a mellow stroll. The lake is beautiful the birds are always there in abundance and fun to watch. (Watch out for the swans) The trails stay well maintained they are perfect for our 2yo to get his hiking legs nice and strong and varied enough for the 6yo to not get bored exploring. Attached to the train museum and Stow House there is plenty to look at and learn about.
I love it I have alot fun there.
Fabulous watching. Plenty of free parking. Easy hike around the lake.
What a great place for a leisurely afternoon stroll with or without a dog. There are a variety of paths and trails to follows, both improved and unimproved depending on your liking, and the lake is rather picturesque on a sunny day as well. There are an assortment of aquatic birds that frequent the area, all of which appreciate a few crumbs of crusty bread if you have any to spare.
Beautiful natural setting...well maintained!
Beautiful, peaceful place to walk.
Lake Carneros is a Goleta jewel. Packed with trails to everywhere, beautiful glimpses of the lake, a bird watchers place, dogs allowed on leashes, Stow House on one side with Tuesday concerts outdoors during the summer, its a treat. I especially appreciated the inspiring mosque to one side. The design is unique.
Great birdwatching and beautiful views!
Beautiful peaceful lake hidden in Goleta. I grew up feeding these ducks and walking these trails. There is even a secret tire.swing if you can find the right path. My kids had so much fun getting some fresh air today. We saw Ducks, turtles and frogs!
Always a new trail to follow, live this area for walking my dog!
Love all of our parks
It is a great place! It is very pretty !
Beautiful and peaceful with a few walking trails to explore and get different views of the lake and surroundings
I love Lake Los Carneros Park, this is a great land preserve with lots of birds and wildlife. If you want a quick and easy hike, I would say this is the spot! Surely takes off some stress with a view of the mountains and lake. If you are not from the area, keep in mind this is not a lake for swimming its more like a small lake for wildlife preservation.
Great urban park (for this area). Dog friendly and mostly locals who will say Hi and good morning/afternoon, etc.
Great place to walk in the evening
Extremely diverse in terms of flora and fauna(plants, flowers, trees and animal life). On one visit I saw and/or experienced the following: Redtail hawks, Peregrine Falcons, White-tailed Kite(a bird of prey), Canadian geese, Mallard ducks and numerous songbirds. I saw snakes( non-venomous), lizards and frogs and turtles in and around the lake. Even walked through a bamboo grove. And of course there is the small-gauge railroad train that offers rides for children and adults. And last but not least is the beautiful, historic Stowe house. An amazing place.
It is peaceful.
Leads to Ida G Stowes house. A beautiful victorian house.
Great for biking and hiking
A real gem, in the heart of Goleta. Beautiful, with lots of easy hiking trails. Parking is weird, with absolutely no signage. You park near the fire station and just walk South until you see the lake.
A great nature walk. Stow house next door is nice to see at the same time.
What a WONDERFUL place to walk. BEAUTIFUL!
The most beautiful lake ever visiting from Minnesota
Lake Los coronados is probably the largest lake in Santa Barbara and it is one of the hidden treasures of Goleta most people are not aware of because its hidden. Theres an amazing array of birds and plants and nature that is definitely something to explore.
Great park for relaxing or playing with the kids!
Easy 45 minute walk around the Lake, flat and nice scenery of the mountains
Wonderland, enjoyable nature and shows there during summer time
Great park with trails and a small lake, you can feed the ducks and geese! Sometimes the Swan will show up too. The Stow House is a great place to see, built in the 1800s also has many large trees that are very old. Nice place to have picnic.
I love this mosque.. MasyaAllah
Gorgeous spot to take a walk
Awesome place to walk around and enjoy the birds. They are really spectacular at this special location. Also, you dont want to miss out on the beautiful trees that are so welcoming of children to climb. Sometimes if your lucky you might even spot a tree swing (or 2) under the big Oakalyptus.
Very family oriented and beautifull.
Good place for a walk & bird watching nice wooden bridge
Great place to a quick hike, fees the ducks are just sit and enjoy the lake...or now pond. Easily accessible and not overwhelmingly busy. About half of it is paved hiking and the rest is dirt so its good for the kids and strollers.
Its like being outdoors in the woods without leaving the city....
This is quite an interesting spot; theres a small man-made lake with trails all around it. We took our 2-month-old around the lake in a stroller. It wasnt the smoothest ride, but we made it. Definitely worth checking out! We saw lots of interesting birds.
Fabulously peaceful
The park is great for a leisurly walk with your dog. Its beautiful at sunset and very quiet, which is surprising because its so close to the freeway.
Love walking our dog there in the evenings. Great sun sets!
Great for hiking. A lot of green for a desert area.
Love this place for a quick and convenient walk with the dog from my home. Pretty view of Santa Ynez mountains.
Great bird watching. Lots of people there painting the beautiful scenery.
So close to nature.
A view with lots of birds.
Great park. Good for just walking, GREAT for bird watching!
Beautiful place to walk
Beautiful place to visit
Best kept secret, and practically in our backyard! Our kids grew up here, walking the trails andfeeding the ducks, and now are grands cant go often enough. Water level is back up and the Swan is a highlight.
Nice place for a lunch break
Dont be surprised if you cant find the lake, but its a fun place for a quick walk in nature close to town.
It is a,beatifull place to walk your pet and relax i love it
Great for nature walks! Lots of interesting Birds too.
Beautiful lake and walking trails .Its a place i have been going to for 30 plus years.
Nice place to walk
There is a lake here where you can feed the ducks. There are also trails and it is a beautiful place full of open fields and other plants.
Love this place!
Beautiful views, good paths, with lots of different birds to see.
Lovely place
