Pretty easy to find, just follow the signs for Coastal Access. Parking can be tricky but theres an overflow lot too. But it is a popular place. GREAT place for walking, running, people watching. The restaurant there had quite a line for lunch time so we moved on. Oh yah they have a dog washing station for your sandy pups, how cool is that.

Awesome beach and a great pier for fishing. Been coming here since I was a very little child. They have public restrooms and picnic areas from family size to large groups. They also have a play structure for children. They have rentals for kayaks and stand up paddle boards. The rangers and their helpful crews do a wonderful job maintaining the park and keeping it clean. They have brought debris basin rocks and sand that they out out into the water to help the beach retain its sand. While some people are against this I support it because you can clearly see it working. When I was a kid the beach was much bigger than it is today.

Beautiful, closer to natural (I assume,) beach with an abundance of birds and other wildlife. Also a great place to sit in a circle with people sharing their experience, strength and hope.I got into a rock stacking competition with a girl and we were able to build some nice little monuments before skipping rocks into the sunset.

One of the better beaches out in Santa Barbara. Free public parking and plenty of it too. The pier has great fishing. If you venture further to the east side of the pier, lots of secluded areas to enjoy a picnic.

Great place to swim right in the middle of the beach. Ocean is calm. No big wave breakers. Also good place to have a picnic, workout or go to the pier or restaurant.

Goleta Beach is delightful, especially in the off season times. There are picnic/BBQ areas, a playground, a waterfront restaurant, rocks to climb, grass area for walking/running/playing games, bird watching at the slough, and, at low tide, a long stretch of beach to meander along on slow days. The reason I have given it a 4 is because it is a challenge to get down to the actual beach.

Beautiful! Best sunny beach in all of SB all day long. Beaches are kept clean for the most part and parking is always available at least somewhere- for free even! The pier is wonderful and kept in decent repair for as aged as it is. My only primary concern is for the amount of people that go to this spot that are not wearing masks or gloves and they literally are touching everything from their face, to the railings, to the water fountain buttons, and some of them go in and out of the restroom so quick you know they did not wash their hands. Just dont touch anything while youre there!

Nice beach with lots of accessible sand. Easy to distance from others. There is plentiful parking! If youre worried about the amount of people there based on the cars, dont be. Youll be able to find a slice of sand just for you if you look for a minute.

Ill never understand why every bench is in full sun. You have to manually hold the shower open so good luck getting anything cleaned off and it actually increases the amount of water you need to use since youre one handed. This park was not planned well. The day I visited the toilet wouldnt flush as well.

Nice stretch of sandy beach with views of the Channel Islands and the Santa Ynez Mountains. There are several picnic tables and a small grill area and a few larger spots that can be reserved for large groups. There is a great Restaurant right on the beach that is a place that locals frequent. Adjacent to the restaurant is a pier that is great for walking and fishing. Great place to sunbathe or swim. Kayak rentals are available seasonally.

Smaller, with tables, definitely less crowds vs Santa Barbara beaches and parking easier. Just as pretty IMO, and theres a short, pier to fish off of. Not commercial like SB.there is also a pleasant 1980s decor, BUT pretty good restaurant on site, gets crowded on weekends. So thats saying something. Had UCSB daughter graduation dinner for 9 with drinks and tab only came out to $200,no appetizers or dessert but we were stuffed.

The beach was nice, my kids really enjoyed it. However, when we were leaving and rinsing off, we noticed we had a tar like substance on our feet. Really hard to wash off, and we were only on the beach that day. My mother in law had a reaction to it and her feet swelled up and she got a nasty blister..

This is a fairly nice beach park. Plenty of space. It is a bit unkempt. Even with covid restrictions it was a bit crowded. I enjoyed getting out and I really enjoyed venturing through the city of Goleta of which I found to be a truly charming city filled with very kind people.

While the other reviewers hit it on the dot: fantastic pier, restrooms, accommodations for events, I do want to also mention that this beach is much more rockier than the other sandy beaches in Santa Barbara so be wary of that.Regardless, however, this is a perfect place for family and BBQing and as someone who grew up with this beach I couldnt of wished for anything better.

Nice stretch of beach. Theres also a nice stretch of grass for picnicking or sunning without getting sandy. The pier was desolate, probably because it is March & windy. The cafe at the start of the pier offers snacks & food. Of note, the hours posted were sunrise to sunset, with signs posted for designated parking for vehicles 20&30 ft. Smooth sand no seashells but nice. Have fun be safe, needs or should have lifeguards on duty.
