Should be called Great Harbor Beach, this place is fantastic. Super clean and silky sand, deep intermittent tide pools, and some excellent rolling concessions. Very pleased with the view of the lighthouses and the very gentle descent into the ocean. The seagulls are bold, so mind your belongings when youre taking a dip in the beautiful North Shore waters!

Always loved Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester. Have alot of memories starting when my kids were little and I would take my 4 kids plus my nieces and nephews, total of 8 children in my station wagon with no seat belts. This time I went with my 2 daughters and their children plus a friend for my granddaughter, total 7 people. Again had a wonderful time.

Great beach. Nice and long for a good walk. Low tide goes far out which makes the beach area far more spacious. Plus, in low tide, you can walk over to the island you can see from the beach. They sell food and have bathrooms in the back of the middle of the beach.

Beautiful beach with fun waves for the kids! They have a nice food shack with a lot to choose from with very reasonable prices. We went a few days ago and the only downside was no one knows how to read signage or understand what social distancing or the usage of masks means.. (Maybe about 20% of the people were okay). When we first got there everyone seemed to follow the “stay 12ft apart“ on the beach part and set up their stuff with a decent distance, but once they started letting lots of more people in it seemed like everyone was setting up their stuff 3ft close to everyone. This was very aggravating considering..Also, there was this guy that started throwing up on the sand right next to where he was sitting and didn’t even try to clean it up. Poor guy didn’t look like he should of been in the hot sun all day. With all the negative experiences we encountered I still give 4 stars because it’s not their fault on who they let in and it’s a beautiful beach. But they should consider not letting as many people in as they do, it was a bit excessive.

Very nice beach. It is a little on the smaller side but offers a lot of smaller pools due kids on low tide. You can also walk to a small island on low tide. Parking is $35 during weekends, cash only, so be sure to prepare for that. The seagulls are vicious so also be prepared for that. I saw a sandwich being taken out of a womans hand and several potato chip bags being raided.

Beautiful beach. Mostly empty so you will always find a nice spot. If you go on a day over 75 degrees you will never want to get out of the water. Low tide gives you extra space if youre into playing a few games with friends and family. People are very friendly and respect your space. Only downside are the seagulls. You must keep a eye out if you bring food. Seagulls might approach you and try to take it. If your belongings are unsupervised people will scare seagulls away from your stuff which is nice.

I have been here twice now, and I enjoy the beach. The sand is soft, there isn’t much seaweed or many rocks, and the waves are reasonable. I don’t park here, but the parking is $35 which is way too much. And I bet the lot fills up early so if you’re out of town, get there early.

Absolutely beautiful beach!! During low tide, you can walk way out to take a dip and catch some waves.... Ocean was unusually warm for this time of year, Im told..... Family friendly beach, parked right on the street in front of the Blue Shutters Inn, and the flavorful Italian Ice stand on the beach as you get over the little bridge really hit the spot! Ice cold and natural..... My first experience with a Gloucester Beach was phenomenal!

2nd best beach I think there is around New England. Soft sand, no rocks, limited parking so it cant get too crowded. Low tide the waves are great for boogie or surf boarding which is a rare find in New England. I really dont understand why the cape and southern Massachusetts beaches get all the attention when far superior Beaches are an hour outside the city and has less congestion.

Honestly the best beach on the East Coast. The water is always temperate with great waves. The beach is spread out and peaceful with lots to do. Soak up the sun or go the snack bar. There is even an island which you can walk out to if you are feeling daring. The views are amazing and so are the people.
