One of my all-time favorite spots. I have been going there for over fifty years. The perfect blend of sun and shade. Restrooms, ball field, picnic tables and perfect views. Parking lot price is reasonable and an attendant is on hand. Dog park too!

One of my favorite beaches in Massachusetts. The beach is small and the water is rocky, but definitely a fun place to visit. Close by, theres a small eatery that we like to stop at. They only take cash, though, but the food is tasty.

It was my 1st time there and I loved it! Because it IS small. And the surroundings make you feel like you are on an island the scenery is gorgeous. Just give me a little corner on this beach and let me enjoy the breath taking views. Absolutely loved it!

Cute beach but small so gets crowded quickly. Stage fort park is great and the rocky beach to the right of half moon is bigger with fewer people. Kids enjoy climbing the huge rocks that go out into the ocean.

Very disappointed that it’s currently only open to local residents. Everyone should be able to enjoy the beach, not just those who live near it. How I see it, those who live near it get to enjoy it way more often as it is. To limit capacity concerns, it should be a first come basis. Or I would even settle for having different days of the week for locals and then for everyone else. Either way, everyone should be able to enjoy this beach. What they are doing is just not fair.

This is a nice little beach, with a park nearby for when the kids get tired of playing in the sand. My kids really enjoy playing in this area.

This beach is one of my favorites in Gloucester. Its smaller in size so its perfect for bringing your lil ones here. The fact that its (somewhat) hidden behind Stage Fort Park, helps cut down on crowding during the summer. During low tide it does get a little rocky, but great for finding sea glass and exploring tidal pools along the bigger rocks on the side.

Very unique beach located next to Stage Fort Park. Really does look like a half moon when standing on the rocks on the right or left. Water can be a bit dirtyonly because there is a lot of weeds and leaves but other than that, its clean. There is plenty of parking across the stree. Free on weekdays but paid during weekends.

My family and I went to the beach on August 3rd. It was a Monday, but it was still extremely busy. We went in the late afternoon, and it was very loud and crowded. Its a small beach, and two different groups were playing loud music. (Music that definitely wasn’t appropriate for all the little kids.) Although, there wasn’t anything I could do about those issues. Another thing that really made me upset and disappointed was the lack of interest in the lifeguards. It was two teenagers, a boy and a girl. They spend the time eating pizza, talking, looking at their phones. Basically doing anything else, except watching the water. They couldn’t have been less interested in their jobs. Eventually the boy left to go throw out the pizza box. My whole family was incredibly upset with this. There were many little kids in the water (unsupervised) and anything could have happened in seconds while they were on their phones, listening to music and eating pizza. I definitely will not be returning to this beach.

Just came from trying to park. The guy at the parking hut in the entrance said it’s for residence only meanwhile allowing people from New Hampshire, New York and Connecticut go in in front of us. I don’t believe him one bit and I’m sure has other reasons for not allowing us in. Huge parking space with tons of space in between cars to even say it has anything to do with Covid
