We really like the bridal trail heading south from here to golf road. Particular during the week day. Dont know anything about the picnic area.

Bike trail is good but the mountain bikes can ride thru the woods and near the riverbanks. Great for photoshoot. Lol

Lovely walk on a Sunday afternoon. Especially appreciate that there is a separate walking path from the bike path.

It’s a nice walk, run on one side of the trail and biking on another trail, u can find some nice mulberries as you walk along, and you walk but it’s a nice place

Really great trails and beautiful nature. Haven’t been there when it’s been crowded, but there’s a lot of parking so I can imagine it must get pretty crowded. Really nice for dogs and kids.

Perfect fall weather and everything, trees, trails, leaves, are a warm, inviting November brown. The trails were mostly empty except for a few dog walkers. It was quiet enough to hear the comforting crunch of leaves underfoot. Easily accessible nature adjacent to suburbia. This is a good spot

Great forest preserve next to north branch of Chicago River. Lots of activities, nice bike path.

Great place to relax. Love hearing the birds chirping. Very clean aswell.

The forest has constant maintenance done to it and will always need maintenance done because of the human impact. When In the forest sounds are drowned out like with snow. The plant life there is diverse and interesting getting a dichotomous key for plant identification and walking through the forest can help one learn about the plants for this reagion.w

I often visit to relax and draw, or to walk along the paths. Its a very serene area and often has wildlife such as deer and small mammals in sight. There are also group areas hat have picnic tables and grills.

I have run here a few times on the North Branch trail. Personally my least favorite part of the trail. Maybe because its been 6 miles, maybe its the trees. Maybe its a mystery. But I am not sure fan of this leg compared to the others.

Its good to park your car and take the bike trail.

Great place to relax or get together with friends for a BBQ.
