Great for toddlers and elementary school aged kids. So we loved it. They had a bit of a rough start I know we originally had some issues booking, but now with two locations here, I think they have it work out now. We adored that they had great staff working to help the kids as well as a super clean facility. It’s great for Birthday parties, homeschool outings or social club outings, etc. Fun walls Min. required weight is 35 lbs. and max. is 350 lbs. and Rope courses / aNinja course min. 48 inches tall. If your kid is less than 48” tall or under 6 ish they have a toddler play area also. Times are 30 minutes to 1.5hour Arrive 15 min early to go through their safety intro it’s required. FYIIt’s a super fun place and to be honest I was surprise how much more challenging it was than I had anticipated. You need a min weight and it’s not easy to move on the cord as it’s meant to stop a free fall. It’s super fun and a great way to work out too!

Took my son for his 3rd birthday! The soft area is a lot of fun for younger kids! Looking forward to when he is a little bigger and can do some climbing!Only drawback was he could see everything, so he kept asking to explore other areas and we had to tell him no. But he had a blast and definitely think we will go back!

Had our daughter’s first birthday last night at Funtopia and what a blast! All our guests enjoyed themselves. The staff were super helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend booking parties with them!

Was a little worried due to Covid. Thankfully, went on a Saturday afternoon. We booked online and were worried it would be packed. Fortunately the staff had limited the amount of people to accommodate safe playing areas. My girls had a blast. The staff as usual is very friendly and assist when in need. They love “The Slide Guy”. He is always interacting with them. Very professional. Kudos to the staff for keeping all safe. Yet, feels like a regular day at Funtopia.

You are in the right place if you want your child to have fun and exercise when weather traps you indoors. Less kids than usual mean no long waits for attractions. Designated for kids 4-8yrs old.

Great fun for a birthday party and we felt perfectly safe with their procedures during COVID.

We were celebrating there birthday, the time was included 2 hours,when everyone came, they need to register their children, the time went by, when everyone gathered started to wear insurance, the time went. After the kids had played,and called for a pizza,that stood on the table for more than half an hour, it was cold. After pizza the children could no longer go down into the play area, they need staying in room, and it was impossible to stop a large number of children ... they take the extra money,because the children went to play area....I think, it’s not seriously. Ask that there everything before you book your party, to avoid misunderstandings)))

Great place for toddlers and young children. Large soft play: only $10 for my daughter. Well laid out. Parking structure available. Older ones will love the climbing frames, walls and other vertical challenges.

Your children will absolutely love this place. We had a private event and my son didnt want to leave. I took a 5year old and 9 year old and they both loved it. We are definitely going back. The climbing options were all amazing and the cave was also a blast. The workers were great with the kids. Grownups can even have fun here. Definitely recommending to friends and fam.

Funtopia was a great place to take the family for an active afternoon. Kids and parents alike had a blast doing the climbing walls, ropes course, and other activities. The caving system is best for kids or older folks with strong knees. The staff were attentive and friendly. Funtopia is a great value and excellent destination for family fun.

This is a great place that we stumbled upon! Fun for all ages! An hour was enough but we definitely could have stayed longer also. We went on a Friday night, worried that it might be very busy, but it wasnt too bad. Lots of employees around to help if needed. Definitely recommend!

This place is awesome!!!! Tons of walls to climb...and things to do!!! Our 2 year old is a little young for most of the things here but she really enjoyed the jungle gym....our older daughter had a BLAST on the harness and rope courses!!! If youre in the area this is almost a must do!!! We will definitely be back!!!

Really creative use of space. My 3 year old enjoyed the jungle gym, even though it’s on the smaller side. Once he’s old enough for the climbing walls a membership will be well worth it.

I took two high school kids here for a fun afternoon. We didnt know what to expect - if it would be too easy and boring for us or not. We had a blast. It wasnt the most technical climbing weve ever done, but we got a good workout, had fun racing each other up the walls, jumping off the tallest tower in the world, and balancing on the ropes course. The employee that was working the floor was very attentive the whole time and super helpful getting us clipped in and out of the belays at each station until we got the hang of it ourselves.

Fun place to spend with the kids of all ages. They have all kinds of climbing walls to try and employees are always close by to help if you need assistance. Highly recommend!

Our son went to a birthday party here and absolutely loved it! Such an innovative way to play. He is begging to come back already.

I ordered 3 separate gift cards for Funtopia in Glenview for each of my 3 nephews and paid for priority shipping to ensure they received the gift cards before Christmas. Only 2 of the gift cards arrived. I called and spoke with someone who could not locate proof in their system that I ordered the 3 gift cards. However, I confirmed that all 3 were charged to my credit card. I have yet to speak with a manager to get it sorted out. If youre considering purchasing a gift from out of state, save yourself the trouble.

My kids ready liked the climbing experience. There were a few ( such as the volcano) where the lights and buzzers as you climb to the topWe’re burnt out. When i asked a worker he said they haven’t worked since he started working there severalMonths ago. These are little things that disappointed my 6 and 8 year old.Otherwise the staff was friendly and the facility clean

Great place for a party! Had my sons 4th birthday party here and all 14 kids had a blast. Pizza is average however but everything else was great.

This place is awesome if your kids love climbing and slides which is pretty much all you can do here if you’re looking other things o do like arcade, crane machines or miniature than you’re better off going somewhere

This place was great for high energy kids! There is a ropes course for the adventurous kiddos and an enormous jungle gym with a caving system underneath. Such a cool use of space. Also a fun space for my toddler. The only thing is my 6 y.o. needed help on the ropes course. We had a second adult who helped him while I was with the toddler, but Im not sure how that would have worked if it was just me.

I love Funtopia! Its not just for kids. Climbing walls is great exercise and way more fun than going to the gym. Funtopia makes it especially fun because theres a big variety of walls to climb, of varying difficulty, and theyre clever, entertaining, and rewarding.

Great place to have your three year old worked out the healthy way and to release his/her energy getting him/her ready for nap or a good night sleep.

This place is very cool! The workers are helpful and really nice. There are various rock climbing walls and a big slide that you fall down; it is unique and really fun! There is a little kids secrion that has a cave and a play area. The bithday party area upstairs is VERY nice. There are ropes courses in the air. Weve never been to them but there are summer camps there. I would recommend for kids ages 4-11. Overall a really nice place for kids!

Cold pizza, hot lemonade and hot water. Not a good experience when it comes to their food service. Wouldnt recommend giving a birthday party here anymore.

Great place for kids 5/6 years and older. Not so much for toddlers. Make sure kids are wearing some kind of soft pants as the harnesses really tends to dig into their thighs. Also, schedule a timing online, itll make things easier once you get to the location. An hr to hr and a half is a perfect time for the kids to play. Need more space for parents to sit though.

Good grief, they never had places like this when I was a kid. Im jealous. Its insane how large and well-thought out this place is. Our son loved all the different climbing options and honestly, would have stayed all day if wed let him. This is definitely a great place for a party or just to spend an afternoon with your kids. Highly recommend!

I’ve been here twice and brought my four year old daughter to climb. Of course being smaller, she was a little scared to climb up or even high but once she was confortable she has a blast. I will definitely be returning as this is a great place to bring kids. Just remember to reserve your time in advance as it does book rather quickly.

The kids love this place. The only drawback I see is after a busy day, the cave area (which is super cool) kinda smells like pee. Maybe a kid had an accident in there, but some of the areas need some extra cleaning.Other than that it’s a fun place for the kids (and some adults). Lots of great climbing equipment and really fun ideas for climbing and assembling soft blocks. There’s also rope ladders and a fun looking HUGE slide.

Had a great time with my 5 year old and husband. We paid for all three of us to do activities and it was fun for the whole family.Only downside was the food. There is very small selection and not much to go with the food. Thinking about doing my sons next birthday party here but the only downside is debating the food options.

There are 15 other places (actual number) I take them to, but when asked where do THEY want to go, Funtopia is always top in mind. And, most recently (this week), the question was posed to them on where they want to hold their bday party (they are 11 months apart in age and 4 days apart in birthdays). Without hesitation, they responded with Funtopia. So I scheduled the highest-amenity package and our expectations were far exceeded. This place is CONSISTENT. It is Clean, Careful, Responsive, and Engaging. Our Host, Nick Willis, did nothing short of an AMAZING JOB making our Party FANTASTIC! I made it a personal mission to acknowledge his Responsiveness and Attention to our Party with his Supervisor following the Party. I also would like to call out Russell from the Main Floor. He is ALWAYS there and knows my kids by their first name. Even when there are dozens of children screaming in pure bliss and joy, he maintains his composure and ensures he responds to every child and in an engaging fashion. He always checks in with my kids to make sure theyre ok. I know this business gets some High-Profile People (Parents) that never revel who they are. Well, as the Regional Director for the Nations Leader in BASP, I LOVE THIS PLACE and have and will continue to recommend it to the dozens of Clients/Parents/Employees I interact with daily. The play area inside is great for kids and is not overly crowded even with multiple parties going on. The included popcorn in the party package is also a nice addition. I rank it only 4 stars though because the parking is horrendous and we didnt get enough food. I purchased the pizza and chicken nuggets option not knowing the kids werent going to eat the nuggets, so the 11 kids only got 2 small pieces of pizza and were asking for more. Luckily, I had a cookie cake and candy. I just wish they would have said how large the pizza was because it was small! Also, you only have the room for 2 hours and then they basically kick you out, so if parents are running late, the host will either have to grab the coats and find a table in the main lobby or leave the coat in the room and the parent will have to knock on the door since they close the door to clean for the next party.

Great place for the kids to climb, run, build some skills, and burn some energy. My just love it here. Safe enough, as they are always tied off before being able to leave the ground, using a cool automatic spotting system that is attached to every station. I love how challenging it can be and watching my little one trying and push themselves. We will be back!

Had my nephews birthday here. He had a great third birthday! Can’t ask for much more!

Very fun place for kids 35 lbs and up! The baby/toddler section was small and felt germy, but the climbing section was awesome!! It was great exercise for them! Finally something my 7 yr old and 12 yr old could both enjoy! Only thing that was a bit off-putting (which is why i took off a star) was the smell inside the place. It was definitely a sweaty feet smell. I think they should clean a bit better and get a better ventilation system.

My Leo had a blast! His happiness is the joy of my world. Seeing how stoked he was from all the fun areas made his day and mine. Took a playdate Chris and he too had an amazing time. 1st time and definitely not the last.Ive been asked when we are going back 10x...

Great fun and exercise for the whole family! The staff was very friendly and helpful getting the kids set up, and we were able to try almost every climbing feature without waiting. We have been to other climbing gyms but this was much more fun, and the kids loved the “spelunking” tunnels too! A little expensive so we would love to see a package deal offered, but we enjoyed the family night special. Also would like to see healthier food and drinks offered. But we appreciated the minimal disposable waste with dinner and that it wasn’t crowded.

We had a lot of fun here! We ended up at Funtopia after driving to Glenview to go to the childrens museum only to realize that they closed early on Mondays. Funtopia has an awesome jungle gym are that is unlimited play for $10 a child for 2 and up. Our kids are too little for the other offerings they have which looked like a blast. Great place to go play for the price.

Fun place for kids, and a really interesting concept where individually kids can challenge themselves on several climbing walls.

Loved it! This is a great place for kids of all ages. We had toddlers, teenagers and everyone in-between, and a great time was had by all. This indoor climbing range includes a large variety of harnessed climbing and ropes courses with varying degrees of difficulty. Only a limited number of climbers are allowed in at a time so theres no waiting to do any of the activities. The staff are super helpful giving everyone a fun and safe time. Make sure you call ahead as it tends to fill up rather quickly. Full year memberships are also available for those who frequent this establishment. Overall great time!

Good time, staff was helpful, always enjoy bringing my daughter there. The walls, connections and climbing holds could use regular cleaning. I always feel like Im the only parent who climbs with their kid. They were all very oily and kind of gross to touch. Considering there was a outbreak of measles and the infected person traveled through the glen, I thought there would have been a bit more attention paid to keeping the place sanitary. Overall a fun experience, just wish they paid more attention to the actual climbing surfaces.

A great place for children to play

The kids love playing here but Ive noticed that its not very clean. Looking down under the large jungle gym area is scary. My son kept saying that there was garbage down there and wouldnt go over certain areas. This is a great place and the staff are very nice but they should really think about investing in a deep cleaning service that cleans on a constant basis.

Absolutely awesome place for kids of all ages! My 4 year old daughter and I had a blast going through the tunnel system that they had there as well as the climbing walls. As long as your child is over 35 lbs. they can use the climbing wall and she had an unbelievable time. We will definitely be going back!

Was excited to reserve my son’s 6th Birthday party with Funtopia. Went online and was able to book 11:00am time slot and received email confirmation promptly there after. The following day I got a phone call from staff reviewing my order and then confirmed a 10:30am start time. I explained that online the time slot said 11am and forwarded my email confirmation stating 11am. They apologized and said 11am it is. Upon arrival I noticed three tables set up in the instruction and harness “closet”They walked us into the room which could barely fit the three tables they had set up.and expected 10 kids and At least 5 parents to fit inside. If you have been to Funtopia or toured via the video online they advertise a large upstairs area designated for birthday parties. That is not what we received at all! Almost $300 and we were made to squeeze into a closet that is normally used to view the 5 min video and get sized for harnesses. We were given no explanation of why we were not upstairs in the actual rooms utilized and advertised for reserved parties. I’m assuming they over booked, however that is something that should have been communicated and avoided.I asked to speak to a manager but was only confronted by multiple teen staff members that offered no resolution but assured me that the manager was at a different location that day and would call me the following day. No phone call! I called back every day following to speak to a manager and was still not given an apology or explanation. I was then told that the GM and or owner would follow up. Almost 2 weeks later I received an email from Geovanny the “general manager” asking when was a good time to call and follow up.I emailed back stating anytime. Days later no phone call. Emailed again to follow up.... Still never recieved a phone call. DO NOT BOOK PARTIES here! Great concept and fun for kids but the Birthday package is a rip off and they false advertise the upstairs area but do not explain that you may get placed in the instructional room if they choose to and you still will pay the same amount as the upstairs reserved rooms. Completely unprofessional and bad business practice.

It was a fun and awesome experience. There are variety of rock climbing from easy to advance level. The staff is great, helpful and interact in different activities.

Fun time for the kids, could use more seating for the adults. I was not impressed with the front desk. We ordered a pizza they said 5-10 minutes. After about 20 minutes I went to check on it and they said soon. Five minutes later they brought out a pizza that was still frozen in the middle. I had them microwave it and then we left. Also I felt like everything needed to be cleaned but there is not much you can do about that when every body is climbing stuff with shoes they wore waling in to the place. Still my kids liked it and I might go back.

I had my sons birthday party at funtopia glenview and thw kids had a lot of fun. In spite of it being crowded, the kids did not complain and were always able to find a wall to climb. The staff was courteous and helpful throughout the party. I would recommend it highly for parties and otherwise.

Worth every. Single. Penny. My 4 year old went with the babysitter after preschool one day and they spent SIX hours there. Even after all that time, she still had to drag him out! Will definitely be back again!

Safety harnesses give parents peace of mind as they are shown how they work to secure the children. They can be a bit tricky at times getting in and out of but helpful staff is always around to assist the children (reason for only 4 stars). Other play areas for smaller children are also there. Fun place for children to have fun, burn energy, and build confidence climbing securely.

One hour here is enough to get them tired out. Make sure you make a reservation in advance, otherwise its simply not worth the price for a small sized jungle gym. All the cool stuff is only open to those with a reservation.
