Beautiful and spacious. There is not a lot of excitement in terms of hills and stuff but lots of space to just walk and ponder. There are a few lakes and the Des Planes River to stop at and chill. Plus the fall leaves make the sights out of this world.

Not a very exciting place to go for a walk. The trail is narrow for the most part. This place is ideal for riding your bike. Do not come here if you are looking for an expensive open area to have a picnic or have a nice walk.

A great nature trail with a hidden past as a camp for German POWs, although no signs are posted to speak of his history, some ruins can still be found. Incredible stuff.

Went twice this month. Entrance was closed for cars both of the times. I guess its because of the covid 19 situation. Bikes can enter but not cars.

Plenty of parking. Gravel surface, great for runners. Tends to get very wet and muddy.Parking by Golf Rd is tended by the Forest Security guys. The one by Euclid tho.....turned into a teenagers hang out with a lot of illegal activities. Condoms are hanging off the trees like some nasty decorations. Loads of empty beer cans and bottles. And yes, zip lock bags and aluminum foil. Cops may not even have to monitor this area: there is so much poison ivy, that all you need to do is to see, who reports the reaction-and you just know, who frequents this awful spot! And few years ago you could see a patrol car drive into this area- not anymore.it could be nice for a hike or bike ride, but seems less and less safe....

Excellent trails, cheerful little streams, the occasional cyclist or two. Horse turds - keep an eye out. Birds in the trees and brush. You can spend hours in here. Just make sure you head back in time/before sundown.

Only one way to get in and out . Driving to the end of this roadway will lead you to a small open field with picnic tables . Closer to the entrance is are two trails that can be taken on foot or bicycle and one at the very end that leads to Central . A very nice scenery throughout these woods.

Its right along I294 so its always noisy. Its suffered decades of neglect so there its a ton of poison ivy and buckthorn. There is a new asphalt path to the new dog park and that area send better tended.
