Ive been up to the lake several times in the last few months (in August and September), usually with a group of friends, and we absolutely love staying at this property. The units, pool, and group areas are always incredibly clean and well managed. We also had the chance to meet the owner of the property, Zach, who was super welcoming and provided great insight on different ways to spend our time at the lake. Alongside that, Zachs staff were extremely helpful and friendly, regularly going out of their way to assist with boat launching and any other issues that popped up. Thanks for awesome stay!
Nice, new townhouse with great views!Decor was fantastic, plenty of room in kitchen and great room. Biggest bonus was the tall garage to be used for boat storage. Location was also great as it was close to the lake and boat ramp. Parking was also easy and convenient. The parking lot was private and included a gate. The kids also enjoyed the community pool and hot tub. We had a few questions and the manager was great at getting back to us quickly. We would visit again for sure as it made for a great weekend.
We had an amazing stay at Legacy Beach (The Haven)! We had 5 adults and 8 children under 10 years old. We loved the house! It was beautiful and lakefront. It had a bedroom and bunk beds with a trundle all close by so 5 of the older kids had their own area to themselves. We had plenty of room for our group. We were celebrating my birthday and ask Legacy if they could set up a chef so could relax and not cook the entire time. Zachary help set the chef up before we got there! The food was absolutely amazing. We loved Francisco the chef and his food!We had a family member that recently had surgery on his Achilles and needed a ride on Legacy’s 5 ton truck so we could make it to our boat everyday without getting his leg wet. We would text Jarvis or Nick and they were there to help. We never had to wait. Our dryer element wasn’t working so it made it hard to dry our towels. Once we let management know they did give us access to another washer and dryer on the property. We felt like everyone at Legacy Beach was very accommodating and went above and beyond to make us happy! We loved our 3 days at the Haven and would recommend it to anyone looking for a house to rent at Bear Lake!
My family stayed at the Lake Dream, Legacy Beach Resort for 4 days. It was such a wonderful experience. Everything was spotless when we arrived, the beds were amazing and the space was just what we needed. Nick and Madison were amazing and right on the spot with everything we needed. This will definitely be our vacation spot for years to come.
Awesome trip! The staff were great and the location and amenities were fabulous. My *only* complaint was the kitchen wasn’t stocked with kitchen appliances, cooking utensils, crock pots, etc. like I’d expect to see in such a big home that can accommodate larger families. I also think another fridge (in the garage) would have been nice too. Overall - Thanks for the great memories!
This resort is INCREDIBLE!!! Honestly - it is very well run and they keep up on having the appliances and everything in top shape. The views from this home are also really amazing. This will become a favorite of ours for sure! The builder of these homes - Nate Parry - shows how solid he is in everything he does and the beauty and design are awesome. A wonderful resort for families - Legacy Beach is the very best️
Great place to stay. Staff are very nice and super helpful. The town home was clean and well stocked with everything you would need. Nick was super to work with and so nice when launching our boat. Well definitely stay there again.
We stayed in unit #33 for a weekend with 5 adults and 7 kids. It was a little tight with that many people but we made it work. There were no coffee cups even though there was a coffee pot. There were no extra paper towels but plenty of garbage bags. It was nice to have access to the pool across the street. The beach area is small and you have to walk a bit to get to the water.
Stayed Sept 2-5th 2020Upon arrival our initial reaction was that the place was so new and nice!! A fully stocked kitchen (plates, cups, pans). There were plenty of bathroom linens But only one dish towel and one dish cloth. We quickly realized that we had to climb two flights (literally 25 stairs) to get to the kitchen and master bedroom area. This was a major issue as my husband has extremely bad knees. I wish that had been noted when booking the room. (Lesson learned to ask next time I book a room)After spending our first evening we notice the bottoms of all our feet were black from walking around on the floors just half day.The next night We dropped a pen and it rolled under a couch downstairs. We moved the couch to get it were appalled at how much garbage, dust, & dirt was under the couch! We decided we couldn’t just leave it so looked for a broom-no broom (although 90% of the floors were hard surface). So we vacuumed it instead. As a family vacation we wanted to play games but there’s not a table here. There are some soft cushion “end tables” and a large kitchen bar but not comfortable to sit around and put a game board on. We called the office to ask to borrow a card table or something but they didn’t have anything. It was cold so we grabbed a couple of blankets that were stored in the closet. Two of them had old wrist band stickers stuck to them which means they’ve not been washed after used.We could deal with all of this until we went to “the beach!” Wow there was no beach! Just a soggy rut-covered muddy swamp. THAT was the most disappointing part!I guess we’d had too high of expectations in thinking things were clean just because it was a newer facility.
Horrible experience. HORRIBLE customer experience. Bugs! Rude staff members!, Wifi issues, Marshy beach access1) crawling BUGS everywhere + in comforters! there were bugs everywhere including earwigs in the downstairs floor and there were flies in the comforters. This was the first day we were there. Earwigs are nocturnal so they come out at night but we also saw flies in our comforter--including on top of it and when i pulled back the comforters. Thankfully they gave us a bug spray however, i still had to change the bedsheets and close off the downstairs of the townhome;2) DID NOT SPRAY BUG SPRAY PRIOR TO US ARRIVING. The next day they had someone come in to do a full insect spray and after that the bugs were minimal. This tells me that they hadnt had the place sprayed. we have family that live on the lake AND we stayed at the ideal beach resort which was also ON the bear lake and we had NO bug problems. This is specific to Legacy Beach resort. When we called, the guy told us it was bs and hung up the phone on us --if its BS feel free to look at the videos/photos.3) MARSHY BEACH ACCESS: they say they have beach access which is true but its on the marshiest part of the lake. My recommendation is if you want to have kids play on the beach, dont go here. there are WAY better beach access in other areas of garden city/bear lake4) 1-2 RUDE STAFF MEMBERS: Specific staff members were rude. Dont know if its Zach/Nick. Jarvis was super nice though)5) WIFI ISSUES - no help from staff: the power went out so the WIFI went out. but after a couple of hours the power came back but the wifi didnt. We waited a couple of hours but then we had work stuff to do so we called and not only did they NOT know where the modem was but when we called they asked what else do you want to complain about and hung up on us. Thankfully we searched the whole place and found the modem/router and reset it that second that they finally texted us back. they blamed it on the power going out and claimed they had called the internet company and they they it was out of their control. when we reset the model the wifi came back on so the staff didnt do anything about it (nor knew where the modem was)6) the screen door to balcony was broken - not a big deal but im sure that was one of the causes for the flies to be in the place - Thankfully Jarvis fixed it so no big deal. The only pro i would say is it was a new place, new appliances and quite clean.
Honestly, pretty disappointed in our stay. The water was about 100 yards from the “man made” beach. You had to walk through shin deep mud to get to the water. We stayed at the Hideout Townhome #24. We were given one trash bag for the 4 days we were there. When trying to reach someone for help or questions we never got a response. There is no washer or dryer available to use, which is listed in amenities. The dishes and silverware were dirty upon arrival. Food was stuck to the forks. The plates still had pizza sauce on them. There was hair on the towels. We are charged $199 for A cleaning fee, which I assume all tenants are charged. After reading many other reviews I’ve learned this is A very common thing. Don’t count on things being very clean.
We love this place. Third year staying at Legacy. We have stayed in a house and townhomes. Always clean and well maintained. We love the amenities so the kids can swim or hot tub after a day on the lake. Boat launch varies with water level this year we had to launch at the Marina.
This is our second rental from Legacy Beach. They are so beautiful! It’s hard to believe they rent these out!We always have a lot of fun staying together as a family with the kids and grandkids. The pool is so close it’s easy for those with young ones needing naps to go back and forth to the pool.We are already looking to book again next year.
Great place!!! Super clean and will for sure be back again! Awesome views from the porch and easy access to beach and pool area
Perfect! Beds were so super comfy. Condo was clean, cozy and perfect. Loved the Art work and all the appliances. Kudos to the host .
If I could I would give this a 3.5The ProsThis condo is in a great location. It has nice TVs, a great kitchen set up and comfortable beds. We loved the covered balcony. It was a fun place to sit and read or watch the lake. We enjoyed using the pickleball court, the hot tub and pool. Parking is convenient for easy loading and unloading. The ConsThe cleaning service had not done a good job. When we arrived the door handles were sticky on both the kitchen faucet and the fridge. The carpet in the loft had not been vacuumed (my son found a cheetoh next to the bed). The flooring in the kitchen needed a good mopping. The sliding glass doors had not been cleaned as there were handprints all over them. Many of the dishes in the cupboard were dirty and so we ended up washing dishes before we used them. They had not left any extra toilet paper so I had to go buy more. Finally, the cleaning staff must have run out of time because the clean towels that were folded and left in the cupboards were still wet. We noticed that the dryer took quite a long time to dry a load so perhaps they didnt have time for the towels to be dried completely before putting them away.Although we enjoyed our time at Legacy Beach Resort Im not sure I would go back unless I knew that these cleaning issues had been resolved.
This is a beautiful home, and a perfect location, with plenty of space for a family reunion. We enjoyed the large yard where we played games and made fun crafts. The kids loved the hot tub and trampoline and sand and indoor playground. The large screen never worked right, and there were no written directions how to use it, taking several hours to figure the 8 different remotes out, and wouldn’t play Netflix or anything besides direct tv. The dryer didn’t work until a tech came out on the 2nd day, and there was no laundry soap provided. I was disappointed that I had to contact Legacy to get the door code upon arrival, and never received promised call backs (asking if sheets and bedding were provided for fold out beds). There were no pillowcases for some bedroom pillows, and we had to search other rooms for blankets. The bedding is disorganized for sure. I spent 5 minutes cleaning the dirty stove top upon arrival, and the garage fridge was very dirty inside. It felt like there is a lack of management for this property, which is a shame for such a lovely place.
We had high hopes for the legacy beach resort - I give 2 stars because the pool & beach area are awesome and so we spent most time there - as we didn’t want to be in our townhome. There were tons of earwigs on the ground level... we killed at least 12 while we were there. It seems like it needs some pest control attention. The ground level bathroom tub drain was broken. There was no dining table in the unit which was really odd... only bar stools which was not very friendly with little kids so we couldn’t eat most our meals at the place. The bed in the loft was hard as a rock it seemed like just a box spring with no mattress. The front door lock wasn’t aligned and would only work by pulling the door close to you which after 3 people attempting to open the door we had to call the front desk for help. The WiFi was SO slow, a few of us were trying to work while we were there and it would rarely load webpages. We also got an email saying in additional notes “check out time is 4pm” but the cleaners came at 11am and said that must have been a typo. When I tried contacting the owner Nick with the number the nice cleaning woman gave me I never received a response. We did really love the pool & sand area! This place has so much potential with a little bit of attention... but our unit itself was unfortunately lacking for the price we paid... These few things made our experience not so great. It was a premium price for a very budget experience.
Wonderful place to stay. Great Service and Amenities.
Amazing stay! 2nd time back and awesome as usual!
Worst place ever. Very inconsiderate to neighbors
The condo that we stayed in was fantastic and it was a great experience!
Madison at the front desk is incredible and so kind!
The Inn At The Lake beat our expectations. Highly recommended.
Me and my friends came up for the holiday and had an amazing time! Coming back next year for sure!
We are already planning our next trip! The Barefoot Bungalow was sparkling clean and everything was new and nice. Plenty of room (6 bedrooms with lots of beds, two King masters), and the upstairs balcony was amazing. We loved the pool/hot tub and rented paddleboards/kayaks from Epic. It was so nice not to have to drive to the park everyday to get in the water. Great location, great beach access. Other reviewers lamented the lack of white sandy beaches and the mud -- this is a lake! The foot sprayer before entering the pool area was so cool, we are getting one for our in-laws. Everyone is very nice and even on Labor Day weekend, there was plenty of room to enjoy the pool and the amenities. Our place had a grill.
We stayed with a group of families and really loved this place. The grounds were beautiful. Very nice hot tu. Very good people incharge of this property. Would stay again in the future for sure!
Private access to the beach at Bear Lake. Nice amenities
There is no white sandy beach, just a sand box with 2 covered picnic tables on it. The “beach” is mud. The condo we stayed in was extremely nice and clean, kitchen stocked with everything you could need. There was no bbq at promised, host told me one of the neighbors probably “borrowed” it, sent me a picture and when I told him I couldn’t find it he went silent, so ended up spending a lot more eating out.
Phenomenalhad an amazing stay
Our family has had a beach front cabin since the 70s (so we know Bear Lake). My father recently sold our last family cabin so we were so happy to see something as nice as Legacy being built (and the fact we could rent it out).To explain Legacy Beach to a long time Bear Lake summer native... it is like a VIP beach area of Sweet Water Resort in its prime 1980s Prime. You even get wrist bands. The best part is they have all the right sizes of homes and condos. This Airbnb style of renting has removed our need for a family cabin and is soooo much less expensive (we spent $3k a year just in taxes and insurance). Plus we actually spend the whole time playing and enjoying one anothers company instead of staining our former log cabin. We just did a fall break trip with 40 people in all. Jon and Legacy Beach treated us like old friends. They have an awesome hot-tub and pool that look out over the water. It is the coolest setup at Bear Lake .Legacy has properties on both sides of the street. All are very nice and all get you access to the beach, pool and free roam of the property. What caused me to write this review was today, after we randomly met one of the owners and his wife in the parking lot, they were so cool to us and treated us like life long friends. It made me want to help them spread the word of this awesome project.Last thing, if you are having a reunion with a ton of people, the big place is so cool and holds everyone! We had a great time and hope to get enough friends and family together to rent it again on New years Eve! Winters in Bear Lake really are one of our favorite times. Thanks Again Jon and the rest of the people at Legacy!
Loved your place! We are beach people - lake and sea. The dock, beach, pool, and hot tub are right there, so nice. Rented a jet ski for the AM. We brought our SUPs, frisbees, bikes, and footballs. At lunchtime all the little kids leave so the pool/hot tub is less crowded - nighttime, too. Our unit was perfect for our small crowd of six. Townhouse across the street, brand new, nice view. Made dinner, played music, and games. Jarvis manages the Legacy property very well - clean, well maintained, everything works, comes around to check on the guests. Our buddy, Francisco, from EPIC rentals, made our stay! Wandered into crowded Garden City for raspberry shakes, stood in shortest line, shakes just as good as longest line. Excellent people watching in town. Pickleville Playhouse is worth your time - professional theatre. Coffee and Crepes - music, yummy, coffee! Bear Lake on the weekdays is best, less mass of humanity! Although everyone friendly and outgoing, just overwhelming at times. (Easy to hide out on the lake - quiet and private). See you this winter for skiing. LOL
Nice place for a getaway
The Inn at Legacy Beach was perfect for our large family! We hope to come back soon
