It really is A lovely place, could use some renovation and updating but the music and cast are young and fresh, and give lively performances... And the food is pretty good! A good place for a young artist to cut their teeth and Im happy to support the local arts scene.
I cannot explain how incredibly disappointed I am with this dinner theatre. I took my family the other night to see their recent production of Annie. The show was great and my kids loved it, but I was really upset with the level of unprofessionalism from the staff and owners of the theatre. They were nothing but unwelcoming and RUDE. With the price of the tickets, I expected much better service. The food could have definitely have been better too, and with it being buffet style you would think people could go up to get as much as they want, but no they only let you go up once depending on how many people are there. I can only say one thing, I will most likely not be attending in the future.
This place is so awesome! The plays and musicals are crazy good, and most of the food is enjoyable. The actors/actresses are the staff, so you get plenty of chances to congratulate or talk to them. I went with family and friends and we enjoyed it a lot!
Theres just nothing like live performance! Very organized service. Loved having the actors as wait staff. Fun cocktail options. The food was nothing fabulous but there was plenty of it. Excellent view of the show from anywhere in the house. Great deal for the money.
What a gem especially for kids. Took grandkids to see ELF and they absolutely loved it. Pictures with cast-loved it.
The show was spectacular! Everyone portrayed their characters very well, and the singing and dancing were phenomenal. I liked that the food was themed to match the show. Unfortunately, the food itself was mediocre. Some of it needed more cooking, others less cooking, and most of it needed more flavor. This is the only reason that Im giving four stars instead of five.
Went to see breakfast with Santa it is well worth bbn it very good service food is great and the show is awesome for kids and adults
Very good food, wonderful singers, entertaining performances and sets. For once, a dinner theater where you dont feel packed in like sardines. 10/10 would recommend.
We have been subscribers for many years. We are always greeted with the friendliest of welcomes and we enjoy our interactions with the staff who are also most of the cast for the current show. The food is always delicious and there is always a show drink to chose, if desired. The shows are always well done and such fun! We enjoy this intimate setting and we enjoy chatting and getting to know the cast/staff. We love this establishment!
Everyone in the play did a great job. The servers did a great job.The food was ok. Could improve. Was very warm and the seating was uncomfortable to sit there for 5 hour. Needs to be updated.
The cast are the servers and they entertain you while serving you. Once they are on stage the entertainment continues. My husband and I had a wonderful evening.
Always incredible! Wonderful cast! Very hard workers!
The tickets are a little over priced but I would still recommend it. The food is just ok but the shows are amazing even with the smaller budgets they are working with. I have seen both The Wizard of Oz and Beauty and the Beast here. (Gaston is perfect in his role here.)The staff who serve you are also actors in the show and they are definitely doing a great job at both aspects. If you have 50 dollars and want to support a local business and have an entertaining experience I highly recommend Way Off Broadway. There are options to pay less if you want to go more often or not eat but you have to check for availability.
This place was awesome. We had a lovely complete dinner and the show, Beauty and the Beast was fantastic. Owners and cast were friendly and I will go back again. Great place to take the family. Great quality for a reasonable price.
A community gem! Loved the venue and the opportunity to see our energized and talented youth perform Frozen Jr. this summer.
Saw Gilligans Island last night and we laughed about all the way home. Cudos to the actors/servers, cooks and staff and management for providing an enjoyable evening at a fair price. We will be back.
1 star is being too generous... this is how terrible my experience was. I attended a show a couple months ago and the talent itself was amazing but the customer service between the owner was what turned me away the most. I asked to see a program and the owner (I believe her name was Deb) completely yelled at me and said I could not see one. My elderly grandmother was with me as well and it took every ounce of her to not yell back at the owner. A common rule everyone learns is treat others the way you’d want to be treated and it is clear that Deb does not follow that common courtesy. Another reason I will not go back is how pricy the tickets were considering the building itself is falling apart and the food was AWFUL! Not sure where are the money is going to buy I certainly hope it’s going to the talented actresses and actors and not the owner Deb!
Very very enjoyable evening! Acting was great! The Silver Bells show was wonderful, really tickled my funny bone and got me in the holiday spirit.
Very impressed with the quality of actors, and the musical, The Book of Merman was humorous.
Great Dinner Theater. Really good food & quality entertainment. Talent of cast is fantastic. Excellent choice of shows.
Entertainment was great. Food was marginal.
While the show itself was great....the food was terrible. I brought my mother from NYC who is diabetic. Tickets were $50 per/person, so I assumed there would be decent food considering the price. But to our surprise the food was disgusting and not appetizing at all. On top of that, you have to give a very hefty tip as per their requirements. While I dont mind tipping, if Im paying $50 per person, I expect atleast to eat some decent, edible food. I could barely even identify what that food was and juste ate bread.
Food and entertainment of the lowest quality. There only reason for staying in business, is they have no competition. There was some amazing talent on stage, but the director had no idea what to do with it. The food was pathetic, sorry excuse for a buffet.
Local dinner theatre with average, small town performances from both excellent up and coming talent as well as the in-house actors. The buffet is inconsistent in regards to quality and consistency in food preparation. But for a birthday, special event or in celebration, the staff will make it a memorable evening.
A great time with the family and a good meal with entertaining performers. Highly recommend going as a group.
It was really really hard to find this place, as it is in a shopping center and there is very limited signage. There is only a sign in the window so you really have to get up close to find it. I came with my son for a birthday party and at first the concept seemed cool, lunch and a show for kids. The menu selection is somewhat lacking, but it made the kids happy. The party was scheduled from 1115-115 but the show didnt even start until after 12. The kids were waiting for food and then for the show to start because the actors are also the waiters! Again, cool concept but for 3-5 year olds, its a long time to sit and wait, only to have to sit again for a show. The show itself was cute and a great adaptation of a classic for kids, but you can see its very low budget. I actually liked that; it adds to the charm. But, the time that you wait for all of this to actually happen...my son couldnt sit through to the end so we had to leave early. Good idea, needs better execution.
We go all the time. Its near by and always a fun evening out. The actors are wonderful. Have never seen a bad show. We try and get season tickets every year.
The show Silver Bells was excellent! A nice way to start the Christmas season. Dinner was average. Staff did an excellent job.
Great service, family entertainment and food!
The food was horrible. Not even high school quality. No condements available. No ketchup or steak sauce. All meat was overcooked. The seats were so uncomfortable that our behinds hurt.We saw Annie . All of the actors were great EXCEPT Annie . Annie could act but could not sing. Perhaps the worst singing I have ever heard. Missed nearly every chore change. Missed notes . I literally had to put my hands over my ears. All the other girls could sing but were not given the opportunity. Theatre at those prices should not be a social program. The rest of the production was fine.We were VERY unhappy and would never consider returning. The Olney theatre is lower cost and infinitely better. So is Tonys.Definitely a no go .
The cast are your servers. We loved the play.
Gilligans Island was a hoot! Singing was amazing, service excellent. About our eighth time there. Well be back!
This is a wonderful place. The performers are full of enthusiasm and love of the theatre. The production is topnotch. Over the years, the regulars have been honing their craft and getting better and better and better. But its even more beloved by the kids who come to the childrens show. They LOVE it. My daughter has had more than one birthday party here. The squirreliest littles are hushed in wonder when the show starts. The magic of live theatre--its real.
The experience was awful. Actresses and actors worked their butts off to be handed little to nothing and yelled at the entire show behind stage. Food was unappetizing and the tickets were very pricey considering the looks of the place.
Nice place show was great, food is ok nice place for a family night out . Would recommend
The shows are fantastic! Very talented people. This is a great place if youre looking to try something different. The food is also pretty good. I like the themed cocktails that go along with the show.
The show was Great and the meal was very good too. Enjoyed both and the actors and actresses were very good did a Great job. If you ever been please take the time and catch a wonderful show.
Great shows. Food is nothing spectacular. Christmas show never disappoints.
I wont be going back anytime soon. The food was not good; it looked like it tasted-unappetizing. While the waiters/waitresses were friendly and seemed to try hard, the non-wait staff was unfriendly, bordering on rude. My husband was loudly reprimanded for apparently violating protocol at the buffet. If you go, dont make the mistake of using both sides of buffet-strictly a one way line. As for the show, the talent seemed to vary widely. They should stick to childrens theater.
Great entertainment. Show was fun cast was the wait staff as well. Dinner was a buffet style.
Wonderful staff, great show and good food.
Fantastic! Great play, food was OK but the performance was excellent
Theyve been there twenty-five years and this was our first time. Lets just say were going back for their season final: Mama Mia.
Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre is amazing they have great service .
Went to see Shrek and it was a great musical! Shrek did an amazing performance along with the other performers. Have to give a shout out to Gingy too! She was amazingly good and one of my all time favorite characters! Food was average. I didnt know the servers were the performers which was neat. But, the wait time in between was very long. We took our honorary niece and nephew. It was a very special evening to us. When I called and bought the tickets for the closing night, the nice man on the phone indicated that would be a fun night. It was a special night until the end. Our niece indicated she would love to get her playbill signed (as she has been there before and had others play bills signed). I said sure. The very nice hostess was trying to accommodate us when another woman hearing the conversation flew by and shouted it is closing night! That they have to turn in their costumes etc etc. as she went flying by. I mean there wasnt a line. Just my special niece and nephew grasping onto their play bills in hopes to have a treasured memory. I mean how long would that take to scribble a name? What disappointment for the kids and I was absolutely APPALLED. I looked up this woman who was also behind the counter when we arrived. To you Deb Kiska, thank you for ruining a very nice evening and for breaking two kids hearts!
Tiny place but entertaining. Dinner and a play. Very nice for a casual date.
Great show, great cast, great food, great service, who could ask for anything more
Love this place . perfect for field trip for kindergarten class..
Very entertaining.
Gilligans Island was a fun trip down memory lane!
Saw Happy Days...service excellent, food okay, production amateurish, but its a fun night. Inconveniently, and to the detriment of the cast, tips must be in CASH. We dont typically travel with much cash and had to scrounge for enough to tip appropriately. Some customers may not have the cash availabe. Somehow, this seems obfuscatory.
Food was good. The service is excellent. Play was good. Well worth the visit.
It was a wonderful off broad way theater. Cozy and perfect amount of space.
Small entertaining theater. Food was eh
