This place is so beautiful. Hidden gem! I live about 20 minutes away and had no idea it was here. There are so many trails.

A wonderful place for a picnic! They have tables under shelters or you can take a blanket and choose a spot! There is a pretty waterfall and lots of trails for hiking. Ive seen frogs and lizards out here. A great place to let kids play as well. There is a paved trail suitable for a wheelchair or stroller. We have a lot of fun going here.

Grew up going to that park, always been a nice park but theyve really did some work to it and expanded. Clean and just a very beautiful park. Also great for those who like a nature back drop for any photos. Creeks and streams always look so clean and maintained. Great job to the park and rec. who maintain the park.

This is the only place in Frankfort that I know of for walking trails from short easy paved trails to moderate challenges. Good scenery. Excellent exercise. Open dawn til dusk.

No playground as far as weve made it in. Shelters present, and lots of stream beds and water running. Multiple paths to choose from and seems well maintained. Lots of Green! A great getaway with my 6 yr old during covid. Weve been there a couple times, but plan to get much better aquatinted over the next couple of months.

Get out and enjoy nature from the childrens circle of life to the Blackberry Meadows to the sky Trail all beautiful and well-preserved.

The waterfalls are close to the parking area. A few trails. We took the flat easier trail which was very nice. They have picnic tables. Definitely a place I highly recommend!

A nice flat loop to run up by the archery range. Beautiful overlook of Buffalo Trace distillery. They also keep the ground well kept and staff is friendly.

Right up the road from the main entrance is a nice walking trail that goes through a cool little wetland area. Really beautiful. Some cool plants to check out as well

This is a beautiful park, located in Frankfort. We happened across it wandering Frankfort, for the day, and found it had walking trails, streams, water falls, and covered picnic tables. The park was clean and peaceful. The only downside is there is not a lot of parking.

I went with my husband and kids (boys 7 and 9) and we spent an ample amount of time here (couple hours)! Weve only been the 1 time, I definitely plan on returning. It was amazing!!! Theres plenty more trails to walk, and other places to explore, we plan on spending more time here our next trip.

Really clean when I went! Small falls and picnic area with Porta potties. We didnt actually walk the whole trail. But, all things considered grass was well kept and the gf loved it. Im sure your family will as well. Most of the walking paths are paved. And for the most part the creek beds are walkable.

Beautiful scenery and hiking trails that allow you to see Frankfort in a way Ive never seen before. There is a park for the kids to play on, pavilion, picnic tables, garbage cans, and plenty of parking. If youre the adventurous type, theres several different hiking trails with various difficulties so that everyone can enjoy.

Awesome place to walk your dogs. Go on a weekday, itll be less crowded

This place is so beautiful and peaceful. Its one of the nicest places to go take a walk and relax or spend time with your family.

It was really pretty but the water was completely dried up when I went.

Good:- good number of trails with easy to moderate difficulty levels- many unique features including waterfalls and remnants of an old reservoir- there are both intimate, secluded areas and wide open lawns- great for archery, picnics, hiking, walking, and taking in some nature or infrastructure ruinsCautions:- no playgrounds- there is parking available at the top of the hill and bottom (separate entrance); the lot at the bottom is small and fills up easy leaving absolutely no where to park; the lot up top is biggerIMO, this is the best park in town! Definitely should be visited often by locals and park-lovers passing through town should stop by for a visit.

What a beautiful place! Wetlands, trails, waterfalls, history. Enough trails to get in a decent hike, and very natural. But some easier ones for folks who want to just walk. Very well kept up and dog friendly. Well be back!

Excellent spot for most novice hikers and passers through. Not wheelchair accessible in most of it. Parking can get a little difficult during busy times.

Gorgeous little park with great scenery and fun trails to explore. Take a short hike or relax with the calming sounds of a bubbling stream or waterfall. Definitely would recommend checking it and spending a little time there.

This is a nice park for a casual walk on the short paved trail, or a hike of about 2 miles on the natural trails. The trails up the hill named Osage and Holly Loop make a nice combination. Go after a rain for the best water flow in the creeks, but also understand the hiking trails will be quite wet.

Beautiful place to take a walk and just enjoy nature. However, the cove springs pavilion needs a little work to replace rotten boards and the graffiti rneeds removed. Has gone down over the years but still worth the stop.

Went there three weeks ago and it was really nice,my kids and I we enjoyed so much.

Havent been to Cover Springs in over a year. The last time we were there it was gorgeous as usual!

Really pretty little. Broke up or distillery yours with a nice hike! We took the Holly Trail which was the perfect length. A lot of up hill so you get a nice workout.

This park is unique. Its the first park Ive seen that has wetlands in Kentucky! The trails are fairly easy as my 3 year old hiked most by herself (though a few are steep so be prepared to climb and wear proper shoes) and some trails are very well marked. On the downside, there are no paper maps, only a board that has a map posted for you to look at. There are many little off shoot trails that connect you to other trails and you can easily get lost. Those trails are not on the map and while you would think it is easy to keep on the marked trail, sometimes the actual trail is not marked on forks. Somehow I got lost twice but it was easy enough to just backtrack and go back how I came. Over all the experience was a good one and each trail has something different and special to offer. I will definitely be back with my dogs next time and a printed map of my own.

One thing I always look for is the type of trails. Young or seasoned they have a trail for you. Calm environment with plenty of spots to take memorable pictures. Everyone you pass is friendly and courteous.

A great park offering some of the best hiking trails we have visited. The streams are crystal clear and add to the diverse reptile and amphibian ecosystem.

Had a birthday party in the pavilion at the bottom of the hill. Great place for that and is free. Is a first come first serve area. The waterfall sounds is very relaxing in that area. Have walking trails as well, but there is not much to look at on the trails. Also have a archery park on top of the hill that I have not been to.

A large expanse of land great for day hikers of all levels. I go here with my grandma because the concrete skytrail is easy for her to walk on.

Good trails, nice views - need some maintenance. Heavy trail traffic, not everyone maintains animals on leash, nor cleans up after them, in spite of the rules.

Nice place to hike, very convenient, EXTREMELY limited parking so keep that in mind. Worth it every time if you can get a spot!

An excellent little gem in the heart of Frankfort. There are wonderful, varied hikes with rewarding views of Frankfort. The trails are well marked and well maintained. I took my 5 yo and 2 yo and all were well pleased and appropriately challenged. Of course, this isn’t Red River Gorge but it is a place close by to get outside.

Pleasant park. Very clean and nice. Good size waterfall & smaller one. Trails are nice, couple are easy to walk and finish even for someone with osteoarthritis. Bathrooms were okay. A good bit of picnic tables for picnics.

Great views. There are several wooden stands with targets to shoot at as well as a covered area with seating from which to shoot. There are even metal racks to hang your bow and quiver. Amazing views from above buffalo trace as well. Very pretty and yet also very functional. Great place.

Cool park. Trails we hiked were easy. Looks like there may be some challenging hikes (change in elevation). We definitely plan on going back and checking out the rest of the trails
