Great place to visit and is filled with history. Tours available daily (some are free, some cost money), and even the free tours include tastings. Large gift shop with tons and tons of branded merchandise. Upstairs has a tasting bar and the buffalo trace vault that stores every bottle of product ever made at the historic distillery. Note: THERE IS NO PUBLIC BAR ON THE PREMISES. THE TASTINGS ARE FOR TOURS ONLY!!!
We werent able to get tour tickets due to lack of planning on out part, but the gift shop had Blantons so we were happy campers.
Free and a little different every time. A very good history lesson about Kentucky, recommended for everyone. And if you are of age and ability to partake, they give you free samples to boot
A favorite stop when passing through the area. They have many distillery tours. All are free! There is also a free tasting at the end of every tour. On the basic tour, even dogs are welcome! Some cannot accommodate dogs so check before assuming its okay for every tour. The gift shop has some but not all Buffalo Trace bourbon varieties. Good prices, limits apply to some. There is also an award winning cafe on site. Check the website for the limited hours of operation. I visit at least once a year.
I had the pleasure of helping to cater a wedding there. It was beautiful. The grounds were nice. Awesome choice.
Great place to visit offering free tours and tastings, recommend arriving early if you want a tour earlier in the day.
One of the birth places of Kentucky Bourbon.
