Wow! The natural beauty is amazing and they have something for everyone. From gift shop, vending and restrooms to trails that will leave most pausing for a rest. There is more here than you can experience in a day.

Good:- fantastic views of downtown Frankfort- great historic vibes with original berms and recreated shelters- nice pathsCautions:- limited parking and really tucked awayThe lookout views were the main draw for me. While the views did not disappoint, the place overall isnt very memorable. If passing through town, I dont know that its a must-see park.

We only walked one of the trails. I believe there are more. Theres a house from the 1800s you can go in some times and the guide tells you about life in the past and the civil war in Frankfort. When another group of people came in our guide simply turned away from us and started guiding them. We guess our tour was over. Odd guy. Theres a fantastic view of the city on the trail. Well maintained trails. Kids didnt like it.

Beautiful heavily wooded park with hiking trails. Easily encounter wildlife like deer, groundhogs, rabbits and birds. Spectacular views. Also has 2 Pokemon Go ex-raid gyms one near the visitor center and one at the war of 1812 plaque (there is apparently a 3rd PoGo gym on one of the trails) and 14 pokestops (4 of which are accessible from the roads and parking lots in the park)
