My daughter had a softball game here! The dog park did look very nice. We checked it out as we were leaving! The softball diamond was nice!

My puppy loved playing here. We’ve since moved, but I wanted to give it the rating it deserves. I appreciate that the Fort Wayne Parks Department offers two dog parks for residents. This was my puppy’s favorite of the two. It is spacious, clean, and most times my puppy and I were alone. I’m sad to see reviews complaining about having to pay. I never had a problem with this. I understand the need for payment. The parks department built two dog parks, which costs money, and need to process your pets’ vaccine records for the safety of all dogs and people. Also, they have to keep the parks clean and mowed. These things cost money. Why people would think this should be for free is beyond me. I guess those complaining don’t have the foresight to acknowledge these things.

Plenty of room for your pet to run, and clean. Other pet owners are usually friendly. Be aware their will be folks who dont understand normal canine behavior. Also, check to make sure there are no medically fragile pets, known behavior issues with pets currently in a run before entering.

So much fun! Definitely worth buying the pass. Our dog loves it!

If youre from out of town, beware that fort Wayne has a pass that needs to be purchased to use their parks. They look nice, though

Great place to go to let your furry friend run and play with other pups. Nice to not worry about them getting away and also meet some good people.

I am from out of town. Never been to a park that requires a special card to enter. My dog had to go potty outside the gates.

I love taking my pup here. He has so much fun playing with other dogs. A great feature is that there is 2 sides so if your dog doesnt get along with another you can go to the other side.

Very large area to run and some equipment to play on for the dogs. I just moved here and come from a city where there is no fee to use, but it sometimes has unruly dogs and owners. I appreciate the service put in to keeping this park clean and fun.

Great place has water for the dogs and is maintained very well. There is a yearly fee or every 6 month fee to enter the park. The fee is really low. It is more to check if the dog is up to date on its shots.

Our dogs love playing at this park and making other pup friends. Higher fences create safe environment. Small apparatus for basic agility . So much space to run and play and wrestle.

There is no other park in Fort Wayne that cost a fee to visit. Wake up Fort Wayne, in most other cities dog parks are open to the public, as they should be. A carefree area for your pup to run, play and socialize.... without them having to be chained up or worried about cars. This is ridiculous and I will definitely not pay this fee out of principal. Its really a shame.

Its a great place to take your dogs, I just wish that it was free to use. You need to register with the city parks department and pay an annual fee of $40.

A public park that you have to pay a fee to use? So what does the taxpayers money go to exactly? I can understand if its a pool or golf course or something sports related but making people pay to use a park for their dog? I dont have to pay to take my child to use the playground and you have to maintain that? So why charge for a dog to enjoy a park? Fort Wayne is becoming a douche catering city. Pay parks for dogs, cant ride your bike on a sidewalk, want to renovate the river front to make it suitable for hipsters and douchebags.

Drove a long way too get too this dog park so that our dog could socialize with other dogs it is completely ridiculous that anybody should have to pay a fee and it’s not listed anywhere so we had no idea what a waste of time

My dogs love it and I have made some wonderful friends.

Located far from our home, we happen to drive past and decided to stop for our pup to have running space. Come to find out it is locked and you have to pay to use the park.. we dont pay for kids so why should we pay for dogs..

Nice park and the fee isnt bad, its good to know that the visiting dogs have vaccines up to date.

I have not even been in the park because Fort Wayne requires a Pooch Pass, and it costs double for 2 dogs which I will not pay out of principle. And households are even limited to 3 passes. Ive used 8-10 dog parks in various cities, with zero trouble, and have never had to pay extra to use a public park. Its ridiculous.
