The only boat ramp open as they misunderstand and protect the invasive species called west Indian manatee. As they Winter around our hydroelectric and artificial warm water out washes. Authorities close the ramps and increase no wake zones in waters too cold for the west Indian manatee. Welcome to no-see-um mangrove park & beach, the last boat ramp near downtown ft pierce.
Location, location, location. This park is located right on the water which provides a very stunning view. There are several small and large pavilions for rent or are available at a first come, first serve basis. Amenities also include a large playground, small playground, swings, a splash pad (must push buttons for water to dispense), volleyball court, tennis court, plenty of open space for activities, boat ramps, plenty of parking, and restroom facilities. The primary reason I am giving three stars is because I reserved a large pavilion several weeks in advance and the day of my event, a group had already set up and decorated for their function because Parks & Recreation staff didn’t put up a reservation sign for my party. It took the people that were there over an hour to unpack and relocate. Long story short, it caused a lot of inconvenience for my son’s 1st Birthday party and they didn’t offer a discount, refund, apology or anything. I’m giving an average review of three stars because I love the location and how it’s conveniently located near several restaurants, it’s a large park with a nice playground area, and it provides a beautiful, waterfront view. I paid over $100 to rent a pavilion and wasn’t able to get a hold of any staff that day to help with my accommodations. For that price, customer service should be a priority.
Great spot to launch your boat! Real easy and plenty of parking. Close to the inlet as well..
Its a lot of fun but without a cover, the plastic gets hot. If they had a shade cover, Id give it 5 stars. Just try to go during the cooler hours. Avoid it during the 10-3pm roasting hours we have here in Florida
Great place to drop your boat or jet skis in the water. There is a little beach area where you can hang out and go in the water and the playground is also in good shape so if you have kids they will have fun too. Just a fun little spot to go on the weekends or whenever.
Awesome, excellent people, the security guard long hair provides us with a lot of information about the park and the fishing places. We love the city.
The park is awesome for family and events. But the bathrooms were horrible. The city/county are not cleaning them at all. Eww. But the beach area is awesome for the kids especially since it on the river side. Low waves. The boat ramps are still open and in full swing. So go early to get a spot to park the trailer.
Stop to use the facility otw from beach!Nice park near south beach park..
Good park, river front tables under roof, and playground, yard space, boat ramp also times two.
Cute park and nice beach. Kids park was VERY muddy
Great location for families! Features sandy beach on Indian River, six covered picnic areas, bathrooms, showers, and big playground with splash pad. No lifeguard but no dangerous waves or riptides. Also has 5 large picnic pavilions with grills and electricity for rent from the City of Fort Pierce - perfect for big parties. Also a good place to watch the sunset.
Big nice park which has two separate equipments for bigger kids and toddler plus water splash park. It is facing Indian River where giving you an option to swim and enjoy the white sand. It also has three gazebo, tennis, basketball and beach ball court. Everything is nice except with bugs, maybe because it’s summer but still the lush green lawn has a pile of ants everywhere which needs to treat. Some part of the equipments are worn out too with molds and cobwebs. Make sure bring some bugs spray and sunscreen when you’re going to visit in summertime.
Nice park with grills right on the river. It also has slides and swings to entertain the kids after swimming. Very nice place with clean restrooms
Jaycee Park is one of the hidden wonders on the treasure coast. I didn’t know about this park until I was invited to a child’s birthday party. I must say this was the best kept secret. The park is situated on Ocean drive (I’m not sure if this is still considered Fort Pierce or Hutchison Island). The park is well maintained and clean. There are local officers/park officer driving around to ensure safety. The parking was a little confusing finding the entrance into the lot. There is access to the water for those who would like to utilize water motor craft. The park has a water pad section for kiddies as well as toddler and older children swings. A fort like slide and jungle bars, lots of sidewalks if you want to walk or take the babies for a stroll or even catch a quick jog. There are also several pavilions equipped with table/bench combinations to host parties with prior approval from the parks and recreation department. The ladies bathroom was clean(water pressure was low). I do think it can use an upgrade though. Great for families
Love it here!!! Great place to bring the kids, they can swim and play on the large playground after.
Code enforcement harrassment. You have to keep your jet ski tied up. Dont try to even stop to switch people riding.
People smoking marihuana and ing loud and the second shift office did nothing. The first code enforcement officer was great. The park is nice and safe for kids.
Nice park, lots of playground equipment.
We love this park. Its great because the water is always calm. There are bbq grills here. The sunsets are awesome. Weve actually even met some cool people here. Not totally sure if its pet friendly, but we do take our dog. It doesnt have a huge drop off. It actually eases out. There isnt a huge current so its kid safe as well. Its also awesome to just walk the beach like because you can walk in the water and not get beat up by the waves. Also perfect for wind surf, or paddle board.
Great park for family fun, parties and BBQs.
Love this park kids have a great time plenty of pavilions to sit at restrooms and showers available and kids have access to the river, playground and little splash pad
A great playground for the kids. We’ve only been here in the winter months, so no splash pads. Still, the kids love the playground so much for them to explore. Plus restrooms close by. Boat docks and a nice white sandy beach that you can fish from and catch some crazy stuff.
We did not really know this place but stopped while on our way to somewhere else. The kids enjoyed the park greatly. Nice little quiet place, a lot to explore for the kids, a couple little beaches close by, we ended up forgetting where we were going.
Well kept. Family friendly.
I am here from the Bronx to paint our home and we live right next to this great park! No, you are not supposed to bring your dogs into this park .. however I saw folks with their dogs inside .. so when I Rome.. our German Shepard Stella.. wanted only one thing. And that was to swim in the water. And so she did ... the entire park is clean and I happen to be here during this Virus outbreak... so, there were very very few people out to begin with... if you want to bring your Dawg.. check this place outRoddy WilliamsThe Bronx ️
This place is the best for the family! Everything you need in one spot. Beach, playground, splash pad, basketball court and volleyball area. All within a few steps of each other. And igmf you get the early you can even get a table on the beach. We easily spend 4 hours there without even realizing it. The ONLY semi complaint is the splash pad doesnt stay ON. you actually have to press and hold the button for each splash stand. If you let go the water stops coming out lol. Really weird but if you dont mind holding it down with the little ones get wet its fine.
The best of the ICW
It was flooded, I mean under water. Maybe they can figure out a drainage system.
Good for family outing on beach side
Nice playground near the beach
Liked it. Playgrounds for kids. Can fish from docks. Splash pad area for kids/ or adults. Pavilions, grills. Bathrooms... Ect... Good weather, good times!
I’m not sure why there so many rave reviews, I found rust at many of the ball joints on the playground and the mulch and grounds have not been leveled and cleaned in a long period of time the water park area does not function properly and just the grass all around the area is a foot half tall enough motor trend. The picnic areas have San filled up almost all the way to the seat on the picnic benches and have not been cleaned out or dressed at all.Perhaps this is a great park in the scope of the local parks but in my eyes it’s just not taken care of very well.
Love my city and the wonderful parks for the kids to play
My favorite park to take my kids. Has a little of everything. The water, basketball, volleyball, playground for the big kids and the littles ones and lots of room for them to just run and be kids.
Beautiful park. Two large pavilions. Two public restrooms with water fountains. Several park benches. Playground area is directly next to intercoastal waterway with beach and boating access.
If I could give this place a worse star then I would! There are no signs posted that they do not allow dogs in the park they are allowed only in the parking lot and the dock but not allowed in the park or in the water! The heat index is around 112 degrees today!
Beautiful parc, Picnic, water parc, public beach. Great for families with young kids.
Have been going for many many many years, fun times each and every time. Great memories, lots of fun things for everybody to do,go with your children and have fun.
Favorite place to spend the day with my family
Relaxed on the riverside a really nice big park lots of pavilions lotsa nice green grass its well taken care of and also the boat ramps are right there if youre a boater you can put in and take out they have fire grills to grill out on and the playground was nice and clean which also included AA water portion of the park where kids can play in the water
Loved this little park
Very nice place. The sets are a bit short and difficult to set on. The food was good.
Cant wait to have my babys party here!
Loved it. It was perfect for the kids. Not just a park but a beach and a wet-park, plenty of tables and bathrooms. It seems that the weekend may be too crowded for most people but throughout the week youll fully enjoy your time
Beautiful sunsets... and good place for kids to get some recreational time in
Good for family gathering
The park and playground are nice enough, but the splash pad is dirty and if you don’t press the buttons down all the time, the water turns off. Not quite as fun.
Very nice park for swimming and boating. Childrens play area too.
Clean, beautiful, plenty of covered tables. The park for the kids was clean too. Enjoyed our experience.
Beautiful shoreline
Cool place.
Theres alot to do here play ground pavillions grills calm and clean water great place to jetski or just bbq annd relax.
We went to this beach late Sunday afternoon. Very quiet. Few people. Beautiful. Public bathrooms and outdoor shower
Very nice Park to take the kids to play.
Great play area and beach nearby. Only problem was litter.
All the sand is not here anymore was about 3 to 5 families here and gone played on the playground nice and quiet
Peace of mind
Great place for parties
Had a nice time with the family. My son loved the playground which is well maintained.
Beautiful location under the bridge. Awesome wildlife running around.
Awesome, clean water & beach. Picnic pavilions, great family place.
What a great place for family fun! Its a summer favorite! The covered areas are perfect for waterside birthday/family parties with grills for BBQing and large tables for all your food & gifts technically you should reserve them but as long as no one is occupying them there usually isnt a problem using them for a quick break from the sun & sand the boat launch ramp is sturdy & well constructed. Its not rickety or dangerous for little ones. Its easily accessible for boats large & small. Theres also a large playground that helps keep the kiddos entertained when they get tired of swimming. And the best part is that there ARE restrooms with multiple stalls that actually work! LOVE THIS PLACE!
One of the reasons why Vero Beach is loved and cherished so much. One mile long boardwalk you can exercise on and beautiful sand and Beach far as the eye can see.
Best all around specially with kids. Boat ramp is awesome along with parking.
Beautiful park, on the water. Kids had a lot of fun.
Great park. Well maintained.
It has pavillions, benches with cover, bathrooms, showers, splash pad, beach area with pavillions, fishing dock, volleyball.
Great place to put her skis in
It is a quiet beach, now they delimit the area of the jet skis so at least you are more relaxed. There are pavilions to picnic and even grill.
Nice park right of a beautiful beach in Fort Pierce.
Too many jellyfish when we went. Depending on you if its a good or bad thing.
Nice quiet spot for boat launch, kayaking, fishing, picnicking, sunning and windsurfing. Full baths, outside showers and bbq stations. Nice grassy areas for rigging and sandy entry into the river water. No big shore break or waves to deal with. This is the most convenient and easy windsurfing launch we have found so far on the treasure coast.
Nice place for small kids to swim and play. Very large jungle gym. Nice picnic tables with charcoal grills
Trashed. Poorly maintained rusted out broken railings with jagged edges. Parents dont watch their kids here. Theres trash all around the playground. People driving into parking lot with obscene music not appropriate for kids. This scene feels more like the hood than a playground. Water park is the only good thing when it works...
The family hang out is great.. plus park for kids
It was clean, good for a stop after driving for a long hours.
I dont know if I went on a bad day, but this is not a good beach for swimming. The sea floor drops off really quick and the waves are really tough. The beach is really sloped and not nice and flat like other beaches in the area.
Great place for the whole family. Excellent kids play area. Lots of grass for frisbee or playing catch. Nice pavilions. Big ones need to be reserved. Cool little beach . Dual boat ramps. All free.
Great park for kids and families. Just be careful on busy days with parking you will get a ticket.
Perfect uncrowded sheltered boat and kayak launch. Great kids swim area. Epic kids playground.
Best park in Fort Pierce. With a great playground and a beach its super fun.
Great place and not crowded at all.
This park is near the ocean, has big covered pavilions, a great playground, water splash area, and you can swim right in the lagoon.
It was a beautiful day and great fun for the hole family.
Great place for a large party.
Great day
PERFECT️️️
Beautiful area.. Kept really clean
The only problem I had was parking! Please be careful as to wear you park the signs are hidden. Seating was great
You guys need to rebuild the docks or make a little bit easier for us people on the boat to climb onto the dock for us to get off really should be spot to unload your boat really its not really safe at all
Ghetto as hell watch out.
This is a great safe environment for everybody! You can sit out on the sandy beach, play in the water, kids of all ages can play on the 2 age appropriate playgrounds. You can read under a tree with the breeze or party away using one of many pavilions large or small. Grills are at every pavilion. You can fish, paddle board, canoe, watch the pelicans. Its a great way to spend the day!!
