We had a blast in the water. The ramp was very accessible. There was plenty of parking. The restrooms were decently clean. The dock is sturdy and long. Great place to stop for a few moments or a potty break.
Very nice ramp. There are 2 ramps wide enough to handle two 8 ft beam boats next to each other on each ramp if people would move over and not hog the whole ramp.Great sunsetsParking is $10 for the dayRestrooms and a fish cleaning station.Long lane parking is for trailered vehicles only and if you park there during a rush you can expect a ticket from the park ranger.
Great access to amazing fishing. The 72 hour max is great for launching the boat and spending the weekend at cabbage key. Very wide ramps, with the right captains you could launch 6 boats at a time. There is lots of dock space!
Great place to put in but SO BUSY on weekends that you have to get there before 7am to get a spot, and cops ticket and tow if you park elsewhere. Good number of spaces taken up by commercial guides and jet skis. Wrote to county. They say no plan to expand. So if you wanna pack up your family at 530am to make sure you can get in on a weekend, this is a great ramp. I also hate how every ramp in swfl costs money, but I can fish from Stuart to Jax without having to pay for a ramp (and the fishing and water quality is better). Hmmm.
Loved it, enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife, catching fish and a sun tan
Best place to launch in swfl in my opinion. Get there early 4 labes to launch and lots of parking 10 bucks for the day. Not a bad gig
Went to see sunset did not disappoint. Moon rising and sun setting the best.
It is high traffic and water can be a little rough but it is probably the most centrally located ramp in the area. Quick shot to all of Sanibel, Captiva, Pine Island, Cape Coral, and Fort Myers Beach.
Anyone visiting the area that wants a charter. Call the Offshore Hunter. Best 2 captains around. Great people and the knowledge of the sea, fishing, and charter business is unmatched.
FUN FOR BOATS ..AND FISHING IS OK SOMETIMES. U CAN USUALLY CATCH A DOLPHIN OR TWO SHOWING OFF AROUND SUNRISE AND SUNSET.
I find this to be a convenient and good location for viewing the night sky. To the north and the distance is pine Island and cape Coral. Looking south is Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel Island in the distance.
Suggest you launch very slowly, the ramp is VERY slick. I know of 2 trucks that have gone in and Ive almost slid in twice.
Their should be some clarification on the parking. We were in Naples for a week and drove up to do some night fishing, but all the parking said Trailers Only. We risked it for a few hours and had a decent time, but it still seems like something which should be addressed. The lighting was also pretty inconsistent - some areas were great and others were pitch black.
LEE COUNTY SHERIFFS are always so friendly. I Lost my phone there and Staff went out of their way to call Ohio on my phone to get it returned to me and I live here Wow ty
Nice ramp, lots of spots, bathrooms, and a fish cleaning station.
Found it to be very busy and hostile! There can be up to 4 boats at a time trying to drop in. I think they should implement a valet for $20.00 or $30.00, this way you can drop you boat, then give it to the valet to park and go along your way. It would stop the maniacal behavior there and keep out the riff raff.
Nice ramp. Plenty of parking.
Great place for entertainment if you like watching people ding up their expensive cars and boats. Comedic locale for amateur boaters. Very nice ramp and park. Good facilities.
Hopping place but it seems to serve a huge amount of boats pretty good
Recent Lake O discharges changed water quality recently.
I was there yesterday morning launch my boat paid my parking fee. Went out for the day of fishing. Return to the boat ramp later in the afternoon. When we arived to the ramp there was no open space on the dock. They were large boats speed boats . They come here park walk to Bimini Bait Shack. They should not be able to park here.
Fantastic place to walk and jump rope for exercise. Make sure you park in a spot for a car unless of course you are pulling a trailer.
Very nice facility BUT it gets very busy on weekends and during season and parking fills up. Also, if the wind is out of the west it can be challenging getting away from the dock and you are exposed to waves and wakes, especially wakes from big boats slowing down to go under the bridge. I hesitate to share my secret, but one mile back up the road is the Port Sanibel Marina. Punta Rossa has a free ramp but parking is $10 for the day. Port Sanibel ramp costs $10, but there is free parking and normally there is enough. (Maybe not after I post this!) You launch into very protected, quiet water. Sometimes you have to wait but more often than not I have the ramp to myself. For launching my sailboat it is a much calmer process and a more pleasant experience. The but for this one is that there are some very shallow areas on the way out to the river. (My sailboat draws only 15 with the keel retracted.) However the channel is well marked and if you stay in it you will be fine.
Plenty of parking. Nice ramps
Great launch...
Its a great ramp outside season in season all the snow birds think its ok to park there boat and walk to the restaurant across the street leaving little dock parking for ones actually using the ramp
A clean and modern public boat launch with easy access to the Gulf of Mexico and Sanibel Island. Boat launch fee is $10 if you dont have the Lee County annual parking pass.
Easy access to bay waters clean restrooms nice resturaunt close by. plenty of parking
Limited boat ramp etiquette and parking is always a PITA. I would give it a higher rating on entertainment factor with some of the knuckle heads launching and loading.
My favorite spot to fish, chillax, and watch the sun rise/set.
Not so crowded and once you know the courtesy system of clearing the small ramp area for those that are dropping or picking up their boats while keeping your boat further back in waiting area.. its all good.
It wasnt busy the day I went. It is usually clean and they have a fish cleaning station right on site. Great place to put in
Great view. Best place for a grouper sandwich...
Easy launch and great location
Very nice but very busy! Easy access. One of the docking piers was closed.
Too crowded and not worth the price
Fun for grandkids to run in the open area and watch the sunset.
Just the right spot.
Secret spot to enjoy the sunset. Dont tell anyone
Great spot for sunsets
Clean ramp no harassment by 20 officers. Good parking. If you come on a holiday you had better be early or youll be parking way out lol.
Busy boat ramp, but efficient. Runs smoothly with very little overlap in pulling in and out with a short wait.
Great place to watch the sunset. Very peaceful.
Get there early for parking
Good and safe
Always the best
Very convenient to our home. Just wish there were a few more boat trailer parking spaces
Great place to launch your boat... However, there are some people here who must feel privileged because they cant operate with polite respect for others...My point is...you put your boat in the water or take it out of the water... you dont clean your boat, hold up the line nor should you come Ill prepared where you waste your time or another persons time... its simple polite protocol to be ready to insert or remove your boat...KEEP THE LINE ROLLING FOLKS !!!
Great access great facility
4 lanes well kept, dredging at this time but Tampa are still in service
Easy in and out, busy on weekends...... close to Sanibel FMB and Caloosahatche
Very well done ramp, bait close to the ramp.
Beautiful lots of parking during season can get crazy
Good ramp. Very crowded.
Average boat launch. You have to pay vis smart phone.
Very convenient. Drop off here and you can go in any direction. Always kept clean, and well maintained. Don’t forget to stop by Anderson’s tackle before you get here.
Great location easily accessible to many popular locations
Nice ramps
Beautiful surrounding waters (Sanibel Island) overnight metered parking for up to 3 nights
Reasonable parking fees for the area.
Busiest public boat ramp in Ft. Myers. Stop by a little further on at the point under the Sanibel Bridge at sunset for the view and maybe a glimpse of dolphins.
Plenty of parking, ramp in good shape
Great boat ramp gets kind of crowded on the weekends weekdays are better.
Was able to park n meet up with our friends boat
Nice wide double ramps with good slope. Remember they are SLIPPERY when wet. Good parking with wide area between rows. Nice parking for cars under bridge. Long piers to tie up to with ladders to board and disembark from. Nice location because its before the toll booth to go onto the causeway. Its also direct access to open water, the Caloosahatchee river, Matlacha Pass and Pine Island Sound.
Absolutely cracking ramp. Ive deducted 1 star, as the salad bar was a bit disappointing.
No red tide this time
Great area for launching watercraft & a small area for observing wildlife, sealife & more!
Great boat ramp. Get there before 8 on weekends
The bikini bait shack at the boat ramo is an amazing place to get ice cold drinks and great food but the best part is the open atmosphere that looks right out on San Carlos Bay! The views are amazing. The bar is an aquarium and has seats that are swings. The wait staff is very attentive whether you are getting just drinks or an entire meal
I work on Sanibal. Like to stop and sit before work.
Clean facilities easy access to gulf.
Great fishing
Nice ramps / parking. Quick access to gulf.
Great boat ramp with reasonable parking and boat launch fees
The boat ramp was clean, busy and the fish cleaning station was well organized. Met our charter boat at this location.
I went on a fishing charter trip went there to get on the boat.
Good ramp for close proximity of Sanibel island beach
Great ramp easy access to Sanibel and pine islands
NEED ANOTHER LARGE RAMP IN LEE COUNTY OTHER THAN PUNTA RASSA!!
Good location. Inadequate facility for the volume of traffic. Only two ramps for over 100 boat trailer only parking spaces. Also as with everything else in Lee County. Parking is over priced. No parking for cars without trailers. No overnight parking if yoy want to go boat camping. Compared to other counties Lee County has a serious shortage of facilities for boaters but no shortage of regulations or restrictions. Also this is the best facility in the county. Sad.
Busy spot with sunset views
Its one of the nicer boat ramps Ive seen in all of Florida. Its a busy spot but there are plenty of slips and parking spots. Real close to the gulf too. Clean and convienant.
Its good because you can put your boat in before the Sanibel toll and park your vehicle there. There are parking pass vending machines. Public restrooms a ton of parking. A good place for bait if you like to fish.
We had a great time on the New Years Eve dinner cruise.
Can be crowded but plenty of boat trailer parking, $2 hourly, $10 all day and nice fish cleaning station
Clean and easy access. Parking rates are a bit high.
4 lanes of boat ramps, nice docks and if its working a really nice fish cleaning table with a grinder, but it can be busy ... very busy.
