Really pretty place, the manmade creek wasnt so amazing tho. But the other creek with all the flowers around it was beautiful.

I found this little garden most delightful. Quiet, serene, excellent photo subjects: flowers, rabbits, hummingbirds, lush foliage. Oh, and beautiful benches to sit, read, photograph. Get away from it all....

Such a lovely surprise, a gem close to home with surrounding trails. Easily spent a couple hours wandering around.

Worth a visit, and worth repeat visits. Quiet, lush, and never too busy (most Ive seen is 4 cars). Smallish, but plenty of variety. The owner is a wonderful older gent, gave us some good info.

This place is so well-maintained. There are lots of little nooks and crannies to explore.

Beautiful, well-managed, excellent for short tours, and medium hikes in the forest! Mr. Powell and his staff do excellent job and are very kind. Great also for small events in there to him. Donation supported and well worth the entrance fee.

Explore Federal Way! At least thats what I did. I live in Seattle and was looking to check out somewhere new on my day off from work. It took a while to get there on the bus, plus there is a mile walk from the stop to the garden; however, it was totally worth it!I went in August 2019 and the back trail was full of spiders and their webs. I had several stick on my face until it dawned on me I should carry a stick and get them out of the way first.

Small privately maintained garden, recovered from a development wasteland plot. Beautiful example of a reclaimed garden. Has a fairly new caretaker who is probably going to make an effort to focus on native plants, but currently is simply a beautiful garden. Constantly maintained, so dont get too jealous. Has a path through fairly natural woods down toward the Sound, which would take up towards 1/2 hour to walk/hike and come back, taking more time with no promise of a bench along the way (we didnt take that trail).

We lived down the street for many years but did not take the opportunity to visit. Now we have moved a little away - I decided to stop by. LOLAs I had expected it is very small but nicely kept up. They do have various small gardens and a small stream with a pond. A great place to visit - lots of trees and some flowers in bloom in April.I purchased membership so I can check it out over the year plus $7.00 a visit is a lot. Unfortunately after I purchased the membership for $45.00 I saw it on Groupon for only $29.00 :( . Also they do not have senior nor military discounts.

Staff gave the Pierce County Master Gardener a tour. This garden is well worth a visit for the gardens which includes providing for wildlife habitat while bringing in color and form to our zone and the microclimates of the garden with plantings treated as annuals or perenials. and if you want a little trek in an urban surrounded natural area the 40 acres includes some short trails. Support care for this large garden with your visit.

We had the honor of getting married at this hidden sanctuary. The staff was so communicative, accommodating, and wonderful. The grounds are absolutely stunning. You feel so closed off from the world as you go through each of the garden spaces. We will continue returning and appreciating. Thank you.

Very nice garden, an oasis in the middle of town. The gardens are nicely accessible, for the more adventurous there are paths into the forest preserve. Well worth a visit.

Quite beautiful garden. Right in the middle different neighborhoods sets this wonderful oasis. If you need a little alone time to unwind, this is a great place.

What a beautiful place. One can only wish that this was their own backyard. You can picnic, read, walk the trail, or just take in the gorgeous scenery.

We went here as part for a baby shower venue and it was awesome, the grounds are absolutely beautiful. I love how they have a majority of the plants labeled so you can see what they are. Immaculately maintained grounds. I would definitely go here again.

Powellswood is one of the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen. So many different, interesting and beautiful plants. The thoughtfulness and care of placement is stellar. I highly recommend this garden to anyone and everyone!

Peaceful, sweet Garden in Federal Way. Grassy areas to walk, good variety of foliage. No paths, so not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs.
