Very informative.Really enjoy going thur the displays
Very cool place! Lots of history and very informative. The gentleman who was at the desk in the one place took the time to give me some history about Fayetteville and the surrounding areas. A really extension collection of artifacts that explains many faces of life in Fayetteville.
Definitely a place to learn more about Fayettevilles history! I like the room about the history of baseball in Fayetteville. Check it out!
Interesting and clean.
While awaiting a carriage ride in Fayetteville, we had the opportunity to walk around this museum. What a great experience. I saw many photos and historical artifacts that I did not know existed or didn’t know the history.Probably one of the best things to visit in DT Fayetteville- especially if you have specific questions- ask for Bruce Dawes!! He is the man.
Nice museum! Some great aerial photos of historic Fayetteville. I loved the river history & the information about General Lafayette. Some people either dont know or have forgotten that Fayetteville was named after him.
No much to see.
Lots to see for the whole family. One museum then go next door to the other one. Its usually quiet, lots to read and some things you can touch. Learn all.about Fayetteville in its early days.
Need to know the area to be able to find where you need to go
I took my nephews there and they loved it. The curator gave the boys a special ture and they learned a lot for him, such a nice fellow to take the time to explain so much for them. I would recommend this place to anyone to visit the next time you are in Fayetteville. ...
A favorite of ours in downtown. We found it by accident and had a great time learning about this area.
Took a small group to see the museum and everyone had a great time. I was actually there 2 days in a row but I was disappointed because the annex was closed both days. They told me it is a lack of volunteers. I want to see the automotive displays. Worth a quick visit if you are in the area.
Great, local museum with a Farmers Market out front every Saturday!
Great local history and free
Awesome! Various local history. Truly a hidden gem in Fayetteville. A great opportunity for giving back to our community.
This place is packed with local history, amazing!
The museum is a sercet treasure. The manager at the annex taught me so much. He can talk to you for hours about history (and we did lol) Fayettevilles history is not really talked about (like the real reasons why this city is so far behind in growth) and it is great to get to talk with someone about things that you will never read in books, real history.
We stopped by after a power outtage and this museum was so nice and cute, not a whole lot for little ones to do but the staff was really friendly about our rambunctous 2 year old running all around saying wow at everything. As we were leaving a train went by and the kids absolutley loved it. Really interesting museum, and neat sculptures outside as well. The lady at the reception desk gave us so much information on local events and museums, it was worth the quick visit.
Train exhibits have been replaced by pictures of a local baseball team, car exhibit was locked up even though it had been advised as open.Very disappointed.
Fantastic! A true learning experience!
Love it ️
Really nice really fast prettiest people loved it
Great selection from Seafood to Honey to the best strawberry Nutella bread Ive ever tasted. Great nonfood items as well
Charming little Museum. Visit on Saturday and enjoy the farmers market, followed by a walk through the art studio and antiques shops next door and across the street.
Good history for an older train station..
This was a great thing to do with 2 teens and a 6 yo they loved it
Nicely arranged museum with an amazing amount of historical information palatable to the layperson
Went during a Marquis de Lafayette celebration & they had some great exhibits. A lot of local history connecting with state & national histories. Explained why Charlotte Hornets were called the Hornets & added depth to a lot of major historical events.
A very interesting place great people great service from staff
Lots and lots of valuable history!
The museum is very small but worth the stop if you want something to do.

Smaller than expected. Not great for kids, likely not going to spend more than 30 minutes to see everything. Free
