Stunning beach! I absolutely love coming here! There is a food stand which is a little pricey but its very convenient. Its nice during fall when people bring their dogs! The beach is big and its the sound so there are no waves.
Traveled over 3 hours to get there but it was well worth it!! The beach was beautiful. Thinking it being a friday that it would be packed but I was wrong. There was barely anyone there. Wouldnt mind traveling 3 hours again just for the serenity!
Everyone please pick up after yourselves & your dogs. Lets keep our beaches beautiful for everyone to enjoy
If you have a house there, perfect! Otherwise don’t waste your time, parking for ONE DAY is $50. And you can’t park ANYWHERE! Water is muddy and has a fishy smell.
Great place for families. Water was good temperature and not crowded ar all. Bathrooms were also clean.
Its a nice beach but the swim area is a bit of a joke, the water at the buoys youre not supposed to go past is at most waist deep.
Clean and spacious. Gently waves, good for families with young kids.
Very nice clean beach, but too pricey! I went last week on Friday and paid $40 dollars! And they only accepted credit cards with chips (my sisters card doesnt have one) no cash. Im a CT resident and thought it would be cheaper ha!
Very clean, quiet. Very pricey for us out-of-towners, but not many choices
The beach is right next to Fairfield marina, so boats are going in and out, and you can walk to the end of the jetty. The sand is very coarse, and walking without footwear is difficult. The beachfront is fairly wide and stretches a good distance. Long walks along the shore bring you to private beach, but if you keep to the waters edge, no one can keep you from enjoying a stroll. You can walk from Jennings to Penfield, another public beach not far away. Penfield is not as big, and the snacks and facilities are more centrally located. But it has the same parking problems.
Such a nice and clean beach!!
Clean ppl were friendly I love it. Worth the $50 parking fee since I don’t live there.
Beautiful but, $50 to park is too much.
Need parking permit in order to park in lot close by beach.feel as a Connecticut resident Im being denied beech privileges
Great time and clean! Parking is pricey for out of towners but I get it.
Great parking space. Not too crowded.
Is a nice beach, clean, very good environment
Best kept secret in CT. Clean and quiet.
Omg why this place said dog friendly and not accept dogs we travel one hour and we can’t take our fur babies on the beach
I enjoyed my time at Jennings Beach. The sand (at least away from the water) is nice and comfy. Also, there is a snack bar that serves lunch and frozen treats. There is a large pavilion that hosts events. I recommend this for anyone. You should bring here regular beach supplies, and your own food depending on if you want to buy from the somewhat expensive snack bar.
Very clean. Parking close to the sand. A lot of options at the concession stand.
Beautiful beach. Its never overly crowded and the food and bathrooms are decent. It has a cool playground too but its across the parking lot.
We were there for an event, Walk With Jake. Dogs are usually not allowed. This is a pretty beach owning island sound. Ive been going here since Im a kid. During the summer, the concession is open on the pavilion. There are also showers available.Great family place, or just to walk.Across the parking lot youll find a nice playground as well.
Nice beach, calm waters, if you go during the off season there are a ton of dogs running around.
Clean beach overall, very beautiful at night and in the winter. Unfortunately there are a lot of dog walkers during the daytime, regardless of season.
Nice beach, nice neighborhood, friendly, very clean.
Great Beach!! Only reason I won’t give it 5 stars is the new snack bar. Did they really think the people who live in this town and frequent the beach, wouldn’t notice the prices tripled??
I had a worst experience visiting this beach on the labor day weekend, there was a teenager sitting at the entrance of the parking lot yelling at me to stop my car, and was told that its ONLY for the Fairfield residents.
I ve been coming here since I was an infant. Great shadows and variation in the day
I wouldnt suggest getting in the water (sewage) but its fun to fish there in the off-season.
Nice place to be with the family and friends but you cannot bring alcohol!!!!️️
Beautiful beach nice facilities and great playground. Good destination for a family. A bit rocky and expensive but no worse than other CT beaches.
$50 to park and visit on the weekend. Insanity. $20 during the week. Decent beach, Long Island Sound remains to be absolutely gross and disgusting. Just perplexed by the whole thing. $50?!?!?!?! Youd think it was an exotic land preserve with crystal clear waters.
So good to be out on sand again
Fantastic family friendly beach. Non locals pay a high daily rate, so be prepared. Great movie nights in the summer as well.
Beautiful beach with clean sand, seagulls and oyster shells. Cant wait to see it in the summer. The Sand Castle playground is in the other side if the parking lot which makes it perfect for families with small children.
Beach is relatively clean. Alot of small seashells in the shallow parts, definitely wear some sandals or flip flops. Water has quite a bit of algae but not too dirty. Parking is cheap for residents. A big playground across the parking lot. A grill is available but Im unsure of the hours. Food is a bit overpriced. You can rinse off sand by the stations outside of clean bathrooms.
I love this place the water tends to be on the cool side but I always enjoy the ocean breeze and the view!
Its a beach whatd you expect me to say?
There are outdoor showers for you to rinse off, bathrooms are large, and there is a full food area with lots of seating, PLUS the play ground is cool which is why this got the second star! The beach is small and everything is WAY over priced. If we werent from out of town and if we knew another beach wed have gone. $20 to park on a weekday and $50 to park on a weekend???!!! Are they crazy? Its not worth it!!! Plus its $20 to rent a chair with a $10 deposit. Give me a break you want $3.50+ tax for popcorn?! Find a better beach. This place was rated top 3 in CT? Out of how many, 3?! We made the most of our day but in future we will be looking for a different beach.
We really enjoy going to Jennings Beach. I didnt give it 4 stars because its very rocky and the water can be dirty at times. Also, the weekend fee to park is outrageous!!
Very good place specially for little ones
Very nice pier. Good fishing spot. Great beach spot. Fairfiles DPW does a fantastic job making this beach spotless!
The paved jetty is a great touch, and standing at the end of it makes one feel like part of the ocean. The sand is very clean too, and feels like they brush all the clam shells that wash ashore away from the public walking areas.
Beautiful beach especially before memorial day when the parking is free and its still mostly empty. Lots of sand and the water looked great too!
Hands down my favorite beach in Fairfield County, while Seaside comes a close second, Jennings is a clear winner. The beach is never too crowd, clean and great lifeguards. Just sad the summer is coming to an end.
Love this place
Great beach
Beautiful ️
Lack of social distancing
Daytime is beautiful, nights are lovely but may have few sightings of wild animals
Clean beach, life guards at the spot, not too crowded, easily accessible, open to public with annual registration or pay at the spot, sometimes radio show at the beach, water is not as clean as some other beaches.
Great beach!
Mi 5 y.o. son would leave it at sunset only
Excellent beautiful and amazing
Beautiful and clean
Please be advised that parking at this beach will cost you $20 during the week with the expectation of holidays and weekends where you will be asked to pay $50 ridiculous dollars. The beach facilities were clean so I have no complaints about that. They also have grills and picnic tables which is also cool if you are having a outing with your family. Here are my complaints and why I only gave it a 2 star. You can’t play ball or have boogie boards in the water. You can play ball outside the water only. This life guard was talking a lot with his coworker about life guard stories including a story of cocaine being washing up the shore. I been to many beaches in my lifetime and I’ll tell you this beach wasn’t worth it. The beach water wasn’t as clean as I thought it would be. They are boats on this beach so don’t be surprised to see a little oil residue in the water. I never paid $50 dollars to park at a nasty water beach but I have paid $60 at Saco Maine to park a 18 wheeler tractor trailer truck which is def worth it. Paying $50 wasn’t a issue but I expected the beach water to be cleaner and a life guard who talked less. This will be my 1st and last time I visit this beach.
Wonderful view. It.is worht a walk in the dusk
Large beach, very clean, concession stand with food, restrooms and plenty of parking. Also fun for the kids with volleyball nets and a very nice playground called the sandcastle.
Very well maintained and great for kids. Love the playgrounds.
Very clean people are friendly food was good very nice place to bring the family
Please, visit this place already! Lovely waters and beach
You will pay $20 to park if you dont have a pass. Beach was decent though.
Very large town beach in Fairfield. For a Connecticut town beach it feels expansive and endless. Beautiful views
We went to check out the skatepark. Heads up you need a helmet. Also. Parking is resident only. Memorial Day until Labor Day. Cool skatepark, but can really use some locals to get involved to clean it up and fix the helmet rules.
Clean water and sand make it a welcoming beach buzzing with life
Beautiful beach, cant go in to park unless you have a sticker from the parks and rec Dept.
Beautiful beach ! Clean with lots of room to picnic and BBQ. Amazing views of the sound...loved watching the boats!
Great beach nothing fancy but the new food shack owner is great brought the places food to a whole new level we ate great food and had a great time ive found my new spot
It’s a really nice beach but if you don’t live in CT the parking is insanely expensive.
I love the beach any time of the year. I just wish there was a bathroom open anytime of the year...not even a port of jon....
Its a beautiful beach to have a picnic family get together are just the walk on it is gorgeous
From the end of October to the end of March one of the best places to go for a walk with your dog.
The beach was nice but rough on feet
The parking is expensive. It cost $20. On top of that, the ocean is mad dirty. Theres not one area that is clean in the ocean. You see bottles, sticks, slime, etc.. in the ocean. The ocean look like pee everywhere and the taste of the water is not satisfying (sea salt water) the sand is not bad theres alot of discomforts from the shells and rocks. I highly wouldnt reccomend going there. I dont understand why they would rate 4.4??
Nice beach
Worth the price
Beautiful
