This is one of the coolest movie theaters in the DMV in my personal opinion, and I watch movies a lot. The bathrooms in this movie theater since I have been visiting this movie theater since 2013 and up until now are the cleanest movie theater bathrooms in the DMV! If I were going to model movie theater bathrooms I would use the one at mosaic and I do not get paid to say that, I will say it again, the cleanest bathrooms in any DMV movie theater from 2013 to 2020 ( now).

We go there on the regular basis, but lately we are having a better experience. The last time it seemed too dirty, the popcorn everywhere and the soda machines were not working nor dispensing ice properly, and a pile of ice was just in the middle for at least an hour and a half because it was there after the movie was done. And nobody there to clean it. Today it was pristine even though it was kind of crowded. However in flu season I found that the lady that was actually counting dollar bills, was also refilling my popcorn. That didnt seem right, but at least everything else seems to have improved because this is a really nice place to go for movies.

Ive come here for a few showings so far and the center itself is kept clean. Located in the hear of mosaic so its easy to get to, although youll have to find the right parking spot which there are plenty of garages to choose from. The cloth seats arent the nicest compared to some of the larger theatres but they comfortable. Sound/picture quality was good too.

This Angelika Film Center has 3 floors, has elevator. All clean and lot of space and chairs, table people can seat and waiting area and service is good.I ask people leavening from movie about cleaning inside and compostable chairs, they said is nice.

Loved what they have done with the movie experience. Its stadium sitting but the seats are comfy and I guess velvet coated. The screen is big and its Dolby 7.1Good place to have dinner /food after or before the movie, or sip beer while watching one. The parking is in the adjacent buildings parking garage and its free.

Last night I purchased tickets and out of nowhere got ill. So much so that I just couldnt make the showtime and I had passed the time frame to collect a refund. I emailed anyway and Alexandra was understanding and issued the refund anyway. Small gestures like this are rare nowadays and Im writing this to give credit where its due.Thank you for great customer service and I look forward to revisiting in the future.

Great theater. Gourmet food and booze available inside. Love how they show classic movies alongside new releases and have monthly themes. Has a nice throwback feel. Nice seats with loads of room too.

Great theater, good vibes. Ill be honest, the website has given us some issues, but not enough to take off a star. Go early for cheap tickets, and then you can use your tickets to purchase food and drinks at half price in their cafes!

I enjoy their comfortable and Artsy vibes. Also excelent ballet and theater program. I have to drive quite a bit, and the place and neighborhood is great to enjoy a happy hour, or dinner at any of the varied foods restaurants. Well worth the visit.

A hub for great indie & foreign movies with many cineaste-attracting events. PS: has a great bar and bartender upstairs with movie-themed cocktails. Recommend if you want to spend a little more to have an exclusive movie experience.

Upscale movie theater at regular movie theater prices. Food selection/variety is excellent for a theater. I had a hummus plate: tasty hummus paired with crisp slices of fresh red pepper and toasted slices of spicy pita. My partner had a delicious grilled cheese with artisan bread and chips. Theater seats are comfy; you’re able to reserve your seat selections. Three floors: 1st: cafe and ticket counter. 2nd: more food options and theaters. 3rd: lounge! All in the midst of a cool shopping area. Will definitely return.

This theater is top notch. The seats are super comfortable and the screen clarity is fantastic. They are reasonably priced for food and pop corn. This theater also offer alcohol which is nice if you want a kick with your show. Its family friendly environment and decent size show rooms.

First time here, came to see The Lighthouse.....oh....ummm....not a movie review But the theater was great, very comfortable seating, lots of leg room, and a good menu for snacks or a meal along with adult beverages. I can most liken it to a much more loose, casual Alamo. Less structure and much more like the usual theater experience. They run limited release films alongside the blockbusters. Plus if you choose to eat after the movie, your ticket gets you 50% off!

We feel so lucky to have a nice movie theatre so close by. Though their prices are a bit steep they have a number of discount programs throughout the week that benefit different populations.That lost the star because their own commercial for their cafe has become torture to sit through every week.

Really like the vibe of this theatre. Architecturally interesting space with contemporary flair. Many special deals and discounts apply to different weekdays. All food is half price with your ticket stub AFTER the movie. All seats reserved.

This is our favorite movie theater in the DMV area. It is mostly clean and love the food and drinks here. I had a family emergency where I needed to leave my movie half way through and the staff gave me a full refund even though I wasnt asking for one! Great service. Its been harder to maintain the cleanliness Ive noticed in the last 2 years though.

It looks very nice. I didn’t try the food or drink but they seem to have a nice selection. But I feel like if you’re going to position yourself as a luxury movie theater now, you need to offer the reclining seats. I was sort of surprised it just had the standard seats.

Super nice, friendly staff and is a nice location. Parking like many town-style shopping squares is a bit wonky. They have a dedicated garage for the center but during non favorable weather conditions that can become annoying. Unique shops around. Worth checking out!

Me and my Girlfriend had a last minute date and the concierge gave us a hook up with some good seats, plan ahead boys but he helped me with my date so god bless you sir, I love you.

If you like such things this is as good as a planned community town center can be. Popular, diverse, interesting mix of retail and food offerings, pedestrian friendly but wih lots of available parking anchored by a Target and this film center. The Angelika is a lovely upscale theater offering with multiple food options including ordering ahead and concierge service. Only complaint is too often not enough servers and snack line can get long. Theaters themselves are comfortable, clean and state of the art. Well wirth an evening out.

I like visiting the Mosaic district. The theater has current and off beat films, Baby Boomer discounts, good selection of food/coffee/alcohol. Its also clean and spacious.

I attended for the DC anime clubs MHA movie showing. I got nachos for my movie snack and they were delicious!! The presentation was beautiful and the assortment of flavors delighted my taste buds! Bathrooms were clean too so 2 thumbs way up

Very nice, modern theater that shows a great assortment of brand new blockbusters, some smaller indie movies, and fun special series showcasing classics. Has a solid cafe and sells pretty good food.

Very nice place to watch a movie, particularly uncommon titles. It is a little pricey but otherwise very enjoyable.

Do not go to see a film here unless you call the box office and confirm that it is playing. Tonight I want to see a 715 showing of Midway, which appeared on its website. When I arrived, the ticket person told me that they had taken the screen to show another movie, apparently because of large demand earlier this evening for that other film. The next performance of Midway, which I wanted to see, is not until about 10:30 PM. So, a totally wasted effort and trip from home to the theater. I will not be coming back here so soon, at least not without checking with a phone call. Completely unreliable place. Appalling.

The seating at the DMV is more comfortable. The seats here are made for children and don’t provide any sort of neck or head support. Get ready to walk out with a sore neck after a long movie. To top it off, they charge more than the other theaters in NoVA, which all have modern full size leather reclining seats.

We are so fortunate to have a great movie theatre in our neighborhood.I have 2 complaints:1 their in-house commercial for food is ancient and highly annoying- Because2. The discount promised is useless if they close down the cafe before 9:30pm.

Great service. Comfortable seats. You get to choose your seats at the counter before walking in. There is a coffee shop downstairs and pop corn.... sold upstairs. They also sell alcohol. They offer dinner and a movie option.

Love this local theater and cafe! I like that you can reserve seats, so there is no need to arrive early. Also they offer a great deal on Wednesday (2 for $20 tickets). Clean bathrooms are a plus. One of my favorite places to go in the area.

The best place to see a movie in the area. Its not an overwhelming multi-plex, and for this I like it all the more.

Only gave it three stars because they seem to have a mice issue. I was not happy to share my space while watching the movie with mice. I mentioned my concerns to an employee upon exiting, he acknowledged they do have a problem with mice. YIKES!

Really neat little theater. Small cinemas allow for a personal viewing experience, which is pretty cool. The screen and sound quality are awesome and the seats are comfortable (they recline a little). The area makes it awesome for a night out, as its a nice area to wander around in. Angelika has a lounge in the upstairs and a café downstairs, so its great for food (although its a little pricey). They usually dont card for r rated films.

Great theatre... seats, views... when you finally get in! Every time I come here it is completely understaffed, “kids” are slow and fumbling (not properly trained?) one person selling tix, one collecting tix (long line!!) and even now as I write, the movie is 15 minutes late in even starting previews. Movie goers also waiting are comparing notes... some were told theatre 2, some to another. Seriously? Get it together Angelika. Very disappointed that we are having to track down a manager to get this movie started (now 20 minutes late.)

I recently went to a viewing of the Joker here and I definitely enjoyed it. Staff was very friendly and the venue has a nice set up. It is definitely a nice change from AMC movie theaters. The location of the theater is amaziyas well; various shops and restaurants surround it. I didnt get to try any food or concessions because I ate beforehand but would definitely like to.

Two words y!all. REAL BUTTER on that popcorn, know what Im saying? Angelikas allure besides it being a tremendously great theater with dinner options and customer service is their attention to detail on the snacks. No fake oil topping, they give the real thing and lots of varieties.

Nice theaters and certain days have great prices. Upstairs has bar with bites and sandwiches. Also special, the movie then food at half price or food then movie. Seats could be better

Really clean theater. Plays some old classic movies as well as the big blockbusters. Serves alcohol which is a bonus.

They have a really cool interior entryway with a little bar to buy drinks before you go up to the theatre. The ticket booth is either digital or in person. Theres a big concession stand on the second level and another bar with some soft furniture up on the third. You can bring your drinks from the bar into the theatre or they sell wine by the bottle. They have comfortable stadium seating. There are about six screens in this theatre and they show an assortment of new and old movies.

Saw a great movie from 1954 that we really enjoyed. However, it was in 3D and we would have preferred that it wasnt. Otherwise, the theater is average. Really expensive food that is just ok, like most theaters.

Still love this odd, but great theater. The food selection (from hummus plate, to hot dogs, to grilled cheese, to the junk (a ridiculous combination of popcorn, chocolate sauce, chips, pretzels, cookies, and, whatnot) to fancier options... Combines with the high tech drink machines, reserved seating, 7.1 surround sound, nice seating (with retractable armrests on all seats, if you want to cuddle) and mainstream and art movie selection... Make this place feel like a theater of the future. Or something :)I like it, and the area is lovely for dinner after our to walk around for a bit and talk.

Easy to buy tickets at the touch screen in the entrance. Seats are pretty comfortable. My favorite thing about this theater is that they play old movies ranging from old classics to new/old school anime movies. Another of my favorite things that and they provide movies that dont always show up in other theaters.Definitely one of my favorite movie places.

This movie theater is more fancy than other movie theaters. It offers a wide variety of foods and alcoholic beverages to buy to enjoy your movie experience. The chairs are comfy and tall.

A really nice theater with really great food and also Alcohol! I went to see that God Awful “Ghost In The Shell” remake and I was grateful to have easy access to Booze. Other than that the staff is friendly and helpful, the theaters are clean, the sound and screen quality is Excellent, the food is great and over all it’s a great place to catch a Flick. Would Highly Recommend!

Very beautifully kept space - including the bar and concessions areas located on the 2nd and 3rd levels. Staff is great. Shout out to Tom for being so knowledgeable about the movie industry as well as the movie I was going to see. Give this guy a raise!

Saw Endgame with OPEN CAPTIONS. It was great! Also the seats were comfortable and everyone was friendly. We got candy instead of popcorn so I cant comment on the popcorn :)

Its a modern theater with a great slate of films. It felt badly overcrowded on a Saturday night, and the pricing seemed very high for a standard, non 3d screening ($15?!).

I went to this movie theater to see Close Encounters of the Third Kind. An old film that was originally released in 1977. They only release these old ones for one day. But they have a few of them throughout the year. I wish they would do more of this than they do now.

Lovely cafe and theater. Wonderful selection of films - all the hits but plenty of indie stuff, revivals, and theme weeks and such. Pricing is surprisingly solid too for the area plus reserved seats. 40 bucks gets you a solid seat, four good craft beers, and a bucket of popcorn with excellent service and a good discount program if you stay after the film.

Not bad, in a good district. Movies for adults are about 14.50 which is slightly higher than some other places in the area and the chairs in the theater are only average but the area is nice, the movies are reliable and the sound is good! Also plenty of food or drinks around after the film.

Love this spot. Great dinning, comfortable theaters and you can drink inside too! Perfect little town center to go grab good dinner followed by a movie. Its packed on weekends so make sure to make dinner reservations beforehand. All its missing is a late-night bar/lounge and theyd be set.

First theatre I had booz in and they play some artsy movies that usually doesnt play at your average Joes theatre.

Nice spot. Different, not your typical movie theatre. Cool people, havent tried any of the cafe foods. Maybe their movie chairs will eventually recline... hopefully. Great to go to during off peak times. Highly recommend. Even if parking is somewhat of a hassle.

Delightful place to watch a movie. Beware, the prices are a little steep but the food and drinks are top notch....well, at least the beer is tops. Seen plenty of movies here and look forward to seeing another soon.

This is a neat little place to catch a movie.

I am a first timer to this theater and it was amazing in so many ways. And spotless, which is not usual these days. They have comfortable velvet seats in the theater. Happy Hour on the top floor with their stocked bar and great looking food. What a view since the entire front of building is all glass. Free parking was nice also and so many options of food choices inside and outside of the theater.

This place is good, not great. The reserved seating is a plus, but it doesnt have the recliner seats like many of the other theaters around here do now. They have specialty popcorn flavors like beer cheddar, but not always immediately available. They do show some of the more independent films, and there are lots of good options for grabbing a bite nearby before or after your movie.

What a great little place. We were able to take our toddler to watch Ponyo. They show a great variety of movies. Im looking forward to Hitchcock-tober.The food is a bit pricey as most movie theater food is. There was also a flickering light in the theater that was very very bothersome.

Reserved seats are always nice, especially for popular or new movies. Angelika has a nice selection of beers. The food options look better than most restaurants. Stadium seating is good for viewing the movie, but Angelica lacks reclining seats. The theater is a bit more expensive than others. The location is excellent, with several restaurants within walking distance.

I just want to thank Angelika for having the crybaby matinee. This is such a great way for parents to get out and not have to worry about their baby disrupting others. I don’t know why more theatres don’t do this. I would recommend Angelika do two of these matinees a week. Great theatre, seats, food/drinks and very family friendly.

This place is very expensive for what you get compared to other area theaters . The seats are old- fashioned non-reclining ones that are not particularly comfortable. The concession area us pretty tiny, leading to long lines. Screens are nice and big, though, and the acoustics are good.

Pros: Good movie food choices, beer and wine (& cocktails upstairs). Clean.Cons: the seating is pretty old school, no recliners and kind of tight.

Ive heard great things about this place for a long time. My best friend and I finally discovered its magic today when we saw Logan Lucky. This institution is a hats off to film. It is a place where both casual and serious film enthusiasts can go to enjoy a great film. It is a first class theater with a great group of people running it. Their bar and Cafe is excellent. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys film. Glad to have finally gotten here.

This is an great development! Great places to shop and dine. The public plaza in front of the theaters is really nice also. I would recommend this place to for anyone looking to check out a new outdoor shopping area or just looking for a place to take a stroll in nice weather.

Awesome neighborhood film location. Good mix of current pop runs and obscure indie material. PRO TIP: careful during the early matinee shows as there are a few nursing homes dumping off old people. They tend to wander around aimlessly and talk during the show.
