This is a nice trail, there are two parts to it though and Im not sure Ive made it through both. You can get turned around if you dont know where your going, but I have always ended up back at the parking lot if I went in the direction... I have heard about an angry owl, also about a creeper both from the local everett painted rock group. But i have not experienced them myself. Although I would never walk the trail without my man. None the less it is a popular place to hide/hunt painted rocks. It has a cool cave at the beginning by the bathroom entrance. Its a wetland so I like to bring a mosquito bracelet. Altogether a nice, partly boarded trail to enjoy hiking with the family. And by i mean hiking there are no strenuous hills, very easily hiked by small children. Ive even seen strollers on the trail.
Neat park, unfortunately it seems like the maintenance has been stopped. Im sure that pre-Covid days it was in much better shape.Parking is very limited but we still found several empty spots. Unsure on lighting during dusk. Bathrooms are accessible.Trails are pretty flat and kid friendly. Lots of educational signs to read with the kiddos along the entire trail. Trees provide lots of shade throughout the whole trail. They also have several benches if you need a break during your walk. Watch out for the flooring on the bridges they are very slick.People are inconsiderate and you will find lots of doggy waste bags hanging from branches all over the trail. This is completely unnecessary since there are garbage cans everywhere.Overall, one of those trails that you really only need to go once. Located in the middle of a Boeing industrial area and busy roads so city noises are inevitable.
Really 3.5 stars would have been more appropriate. The walk was nice. The trail was mostly clear though some branches and blackberry vines poked into the path. The tree filtered light kept the trail pretty cool. There were some hordes of gnats and mosquitos but not the worst Ive experienced. All the water is pretty still and swampy so the views are nice but not the best. There are little streams along the path but they are very low and slow due to the season. There were very few people. Overall it is a pleasant walk, not my favorite but good for a quick walk. This is my third visit and Ill be back.
Good variety of birds, but you have to be patient and use your ears. Sit still and something will show up. Pleasant, shady walk.
Nice little trail spot in the middle of Everett. It’s only about a mile and a half. Too short for me on an average day but if you’re looking for an easy stroll it’s a nice option. It’s worth checking out.
Wetland is neat. Its a fun walk. While visiting, we, and 9 other vehicles had their windows smashed and things stolen from the vehicle. It was done in brought daylight and with whitnesses present. It seems the criminal area makes this visit a game of Russian roulette. Park with your doors unlocked, valuables removed, and good luck charm tucked in your back pocket.
A great place for a shorter hike through wetlands and greenery. The boardwalk is well maintained and is very pretty. The perimeter loop is not as nice, as much of it is along the road.
Great little jaunt next to Boeing. Loved both the board walk and the perimeter trail. Would definately do again. Trail wasnt muddy dispite being in wetlands and it raining. Good tree/foliage coverage so with just a sprinkle of rain you can still stay a little dry.
A great place to hike in the city. Feels so far away but isnt.
A very relaxing place to be with your family enjoying nature
Ive been meaning to stop by this place for YEARS and Im not disappoint that I finally made it. Seems to be a fair amount of well maintained trail on a fairly small area. There are multiple entrances with the front having parking and a restroom. There are information boards along one side of the marshlands with some trails all around it. There were spots in the back that were a little muddy and possibly slippery but I dont think its any big concern. I feel it is worth a visit especially if youre local and live near by.
Beautiful, well maintained urban sanctuary.
Parking sucks & the place was dirty & not kept up at all... What a disappointment....
Nice walk, but boardwalk slippery when wet and covered with leaves.
I love this place! There are two lol trails through the wetlands, a short loop and a longer loop. Pets are allowed on the longer, outer loop, while the inner loop is restricted to people. The trails are well maintained and make for a good walk year round, though I prefer spring and fall. Benches after available throughout and they are several scenic overlooks.Additionally, there are brick & mortar bathrooms and several picnic tables near the parking lot. The longer loop trail also has a couple of picnic locations.
Easy trail for walking, In the beautiful state of Washington.
Well maintained, quiet trails throughout the wetlands area. Lots of mosquitoes during the summer months.
Cool place for a quick walk but mosquitoes are out in force!
This place is awesome, little critters all over the place! Fun to explore with the kids, the trails are nice since you cant really get lost, most of them loop around and one is just a straight trail that you just end up walking back. Lots to explore!
Very cute nature trail. Well maintained, maps a bit confusing where it meets the road because its not really well marked that you walk on the streets side walk till you see another sanctuary sign
Lovely place for a walk in nature. Not at all crowded.
Lots of nats, part of the trail goes on streets too, but I can see it being a nice break in the day from work lunch walk for near by businesses
Great place to walk, relax and enjoy nature.
I love hiking here! Always a beautiful view, especially in the Fall!
Narbecks, is top shelf beautiful. One of our most favorite and pleasant places to take a nice, comfy and relaxing walk. Weve been walking and taking in its wonerful wonders since its beginning. Some days you can see bunches of frogs...Some days you can see bunches of types of birds...Some days you may see a bunny or more. All days you get to enjoy a walk along a well maintained path that is surrounded by lush green trees and free form foliage; there is also wooden bridges on the path as well as a beautiful sitting area overlooking the large pond area...Theres many big puddles in which you can see frogs and sometimes fish. There is also picnic tables near the parking area. And, there is bathroom building...Not a box, but an actual building. Now go!... Narbecks likes having company.
Trails were great! Hardly muddy at all
If youre wanting a quick easy walk without driving too far this is the perfect place.
Nice place to visit nature and wildlife as well walking in woods on a trail
Excellent place for families to walk, explore and take in the damp, plush environment!
Two nice loops. Very easy walk.
Great flat to go check out with kids! Bonus if you find a painted rock!!
This place was amazing loved it
One of my favorite places to go for a little nature walk. Its quick beautiful and quiet here. Def worth the 15 minutes to stop and check it out.
Amazing place! If you have not been here, please go
.6 mile trail through the wetlands. About 1/4 is a gravel path and the majority is an elevated boardwalk. Observation areas as well as signs which explain the wetlands. There is a much longer path that is called the perimeter trail. Look for signs. Small paved parking lot and restrooms.
Clean park, not typically crowded. Dogs are welcome on leash. Beautiful trails.
Its a great little trail for a quick outing. I walked all of it in an hour with my puppy.
It’s a nice place during the fall. Gets really pretty with all the colors. And you walk around a lot which is nice.
This is a really nice trail and we discovered the painted rocks here! #everettrocks
This wetland is very well kept, lots of ducks and bird wildlife, no smoking, great place to walk your dog and with raised pathways is accessible year round
I always see cute little animals here! It is a well maintained park and as an added bonus has plenty of poke stops, if thats what youre into :)
Great place to walk your dog or just take a stroll around. Its amazing and well taken care of. If you go please help keep it clean.
Very nice walk! Found 2 rocks and hid 2 rocks!
We arrived in the afternoon on a Sunday for a hike with family in town. Looked fabulous online, but there is NO parking. We waited 15 minutes for a spot to open up. The other parking lot was closed- why?? There were 3 other cars waiting for a spot to open up while we were there, too. I am so sad we couldnt even park- it was a beautiful fall day, and we couldnt take advantage of the wetland trail!
Nice little park. My kids saw frogs, salamanders, birds and fish.
I love coming here. I can never find any salamanders though which is the main reason I come here. Any tips appreciated!!!!!!
Amazing place to take a walk on the trails. If you like Pokemon go, this place has a couple gyms and pokestops!
Love listening to the birds and just being able to relax while walking
Cute little walk near Boeing. Not a destination walk/hike but a nice place to go during a lunch break
I went to Narbeck to see the wildlife and the plants and so forth. The experience was great but the only problem was the fact that you had to go onto the road to follow the trails. That was a major dissapointment and i shortly left.
Very peaceful place to take a walk.
The trails are easy to walk and I would recommend them for disabled people as well as children. The wetlands are large and the views change seasonally. The is a public restroom and a paved parking area. The trails are gaveled and easy to walk even in wet weather.
Great little park with a boardwalk and trail that are easy for a stroller or wheelchair. Peaceful and clean, its a great place to see birds and other wildlife. I feel safe bringing my 6mo daughter here to walk once a week or so.
A great easy trail to get the kids some fresh air
Great trails to walk, not very many different trails but they are a decent walk if you are looking for some easy walking where you can enjoy nature for a short time this is definitely a good spot
I enjoy this park a great deal. Its quite peaceful for being so close to a highway and very scenic. Ive caught (and released) some beautiful frogs here. Decent poke-destination as well, several stops and good water pokemon spawning.
Another one of my favorite walking and hiding places!!!
Fun short hike for family outing!
Love this park well maintained.nice trails plus get to see local wildlife
Always peaceful and relaxing place to walk and enjoy mother nature.
Life and agar culturalParking is extremely limited there is no smoking on the premises Most visitors are there on their lunch breaks from local businesses nearby public restroom wheelchair accessible well groomed trails and a Large variety of local wild life
Beautiful! Amazingly peaceful considering how close it is to major roads.
Always a great walk smells a little sometimes but nothing intolerable
I walk it on my lunch and breaks. Has a good amount of pokestops and a couple gyms. People dont pick up their dogs poop so watch out.
This is a nice short urban hike thats not too far away. Took my kids out for a little warm-up to the hiking season, they enjoyed the little pond with Momma duck and her little ducklings. Since it is still early in the season, the sanctuary was a little sleepy, but give it a month, and it will liven up.
Wonderful wetlands. It could only be better if it was bigger. Very good signage, explanations of wetlands habitat, and many wonderful places to stop and view the environment.
Great place for a walk.
Fun wetland walking trails
Its not a huge area to walk, but its a nice wetland sanctuary with good trails to walk. Its right by Boeing. You can see turtles, frogs, waterfowl, slugs, and even the occasional garter snake. Most people are respectful of nature, so its pretty clean. There are garbage cans along the trail, and restrooms at the parking lot. I take my sons there at least once a week. Fun in the summer, and the rest of the seasons too!
Great place to have a nice walk with or without the dogs!
Amazing little walk. Clear your mind
Gorgeous walk during the fall. Two trails of different lengths. I always take the shorter one because I have two kiddos under 4.
Cool little area to take a walk. Saw some ducks and small critters.
Such a beautiful and peaceful place to go for a walk! We love to hide painted rocks here for others to find and hopefully spread a little joy. It had gotten busier with the painted rock phenomenon taking off, but still a wonderful place to visit. Just beware of the wildlife! Weve seen turtles, owls, ducks and *shiver* snakes. Love it here!
I come here to go on walks and quietly look at the Ducks and beavers listen to Nature its quiet there. And I often look for hidden painted rocks and bring some of my own to hide as well
Great little loop to go on and and again with small children, pets, Pokemon Go hunting, etc. Nice new bridges seem to be made of a composite wood which has a nice feel and look to them. Try to go during the early morning to see the most wildlife and leave before it starts getting dark because of the mosquitos.
Lots of song birds on this short trail
This place is a small gem. I was hoping it would be bigger but I had a great time all the same. Found painted rocks seen beautiful scenery. There is a bathroom and lots of information on the trail for reading
I absolutely love this place is like a Hidden Gem in this area the only issue I have with it is that when they go and cut trees down they leave all the branches and sticker bushes right in the middle of the walk way so basically whoever Cuts all the trees and bushes just leave everything all right in the middle of where people are trying to walk and Im talking sticker bushes that will cut you other than that place is beautiful theres always duckies all over and other Wildlife as well
Always an awesome experience! A great place for wildlife and photography!
Nice wetland ecosystem reproduction for those who do not want mud on their shoes( theres a long bridge-path). Cool leafless light colored trees. Did not see any beavers or birds to observe but will visit again, at least once. Short 20 min walk/hiking. Dogs are on leash. Not many people around.
Beautiful wildlife sanctuary. A great place to walk with the family and your leashed dog.
Excellent trail! Took a stroller no problem!
Parking lot is tiny. It would be nice if there was a sign letting visitors know of the trail is stroller friendly.
A good walk on sound boarding all through the walk. Easy for wheelchair or elderly.
My j8fd and I love it here! Great 0lace for a picnic and a nice walk. Kiddos love it and so do i!!!
I love this place, its peaceful and great for unwinding
This is a comfortable walk. We have a dog so its not alot of fun for us because its a leashed trail.
Peaceful and quiet, decently maintained paths
Nice little area to explore
Great little walk
The boardwalk here is great, the trails are nice too. Nice and close to Boeing. Good place to go before work if you are a 2nd shift employee looking to get a little sun.
Excellent walking park. It is a wetland with two intersecting trails that guide you around the perimeter and out into the marsh itself via a well maintained boardwalk. There is an observation point and serval overlooks to give you a good view of the wetlands. There is always signs of beaver activity and the birds are plentiful. Nice quiet easy walk. If you do both the inner and outer loop it is right at 2 miles. There are clean restrooms onsite.
