Visited a friend here. Very nice clean establishment. Would recommend it if looking for a low-cost place to park your RV. The amenities are nice theres a pool and other things again highly recommended

Spaces are quiet small...we are leaving pretty soon...you are really close to your neighbor. The office management is friendly but ever since COVID started they dont allow you to walk into the office so if I want propane or want to tell them I am traveling; email is best because their phones never get answered.

The RVs are packed in tight here. We were pulling a very small tow car and it barely had Room between us and our neighbor to get it in there. The site we had was convenient to the restrooms, dumpster and the dog park but we were also backed right up to the freeway with no barrier wall and the noise 24 hours A-day is deafening! The razor wire on top of the fence was a nice touch and Ill admit we didnt see anyone coming into the park by coming over the fence. The electrical hookups boxes were pretty beat up but still worked. The advertised cable TV was a small cable box that you screwed into your RVs coaxial connector than a HDMI from same box to TV and suppose to work without ever hooking it to a park connection.....really?......didnt work so I returned it and used the antennae on the RV. No instructions of how hookup to the free internet, was suppose to call back when her guest left the office but never did. The trees are in dire need of trimming because they hang down to within 8 feet of the ground and had to be avoided. People working on cars, doing an oil change on a motorcycle, using broken down cars as a shed. The positives were the woman in the front office was very nice as was the maintenance guy working the park. Also they have a small pool and hot tub and they looked well maintained. It was gated but did witness extra vehicles entering once the gate was opened. We were grateful that we were able to park and have hookups but this place needs some love put back into it.

Have to say this was the tightest park we have ever been in, and we travel a lot. The first space they gave us was impossible to back into. Just barely made it into the new space with multiple jockeying around. If you have a long pull trailer like us (32) dont bother, not worth the stress. The pool looked nice, didnt use the WiFi.

Love the management of this place always willing to help Im very grateful.

We didnt end up staying here. Our reservation was messed up. Couldnt accommodate our 5th wheel, initially didnt show our deposit. Personnel were nice.

I have been working for Vacationer RV for a few months now and I love the community they have here. The guests are all very nice and my associates are very easy and friendly to work with. Vacationer RV is part of the Sunland Family and they have several resorts around the San Diego and Riverside area, what I like the most about the resort is the amazing poeple I am able to meet while working. The property is clean, they have maintenence and housekeeping on site 7 days a week and Security at night also 7 days a week. This is a family resort so we get poeple from all ages. On Saturdays, (not every saturday) sometimes the company provides special surprises for guests, such as bbqs, ice cream day at the pool, or even movie day for the kids at the club house.

A decent place enjoyed my overall stay except for when I finally left. They keep your deposit no matter what and say it was because of electricity. Even though they show proof on how much you have used. They will take your deposit and give any excuse they can. Make sure they show you proof on your electricity you have truly used.

Best kept secret in San Diego. If youre an RV person and want a quiet staycation, a snowbird looking for a home for the winter, or in town for work, this is a very nice RV park.

A very clean & well run RV park. The pool area is very nice & well kept. Weve only neen here for 2 weeks but they have sponsored 2 barbeques already. A nice friendly, well run park. Most guests are semi-permanent like we are but that keeps move-ins & move-outs to a minimum.

My husband and I have been here for 1 month. We have very much enjoyed staying at this park. Beautiful pool and hot tub. New washers and dryers, very clean facilities. Park location is great. Jim and Billie (office) were absolutely wonderful!! They were so helpful and friendly. We definitely recommend this park!!!

I have nothing but good things to say about VA RV Resort. I have been here for 7 months now and the staff are super friendly. Rent includes free water, sewer, cable, and wifi. All you pay for it electricity. The rates are great and they fill propane on site and bill it your account for a user friendly experience. 10/10 would recommend.

We had a great time at Vacationer. It was clean and centrally located. Jennifer at the front desk went above and beyond in helping us with any questions. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Im not a camper so I received a mini tour from a resident. I was so impressed at how many things there are to do here. Amazingly clean and neat. Top notch security.

My husband, daughter and I spent 6 months at this park and loved it there . The bathrooms are clean, the people are friendly and the club room and pool are great ! All of our neighbors were awesome. Front office staff are super helpful and always throwing little BBQs by the pool with free food and drinks. Were going to miss it here so much and we hope to be able to come back soon! 10/10 would reccomend.

Sleep, work & play

Excellent place for a weekend getaway or extended stay. Staff is friendly and very helpfull. The area that I stayed in had a good community feel where the other extended stay folks were friendly and would lend a hand when you needed help. Would definitely recommend this resort.

Over all nice place to park your RV for less than month at a time. There are some issues with permanent residents, this resort allows people to stay there that were caught steeling from other people residing there. Many things are run down and need restoration. Children riding bikes and other things with wheels ride on the same roads that the RVs use. And the electric bills given to the tenants are 3 to 4 times higher than they should be.

Would not recommend!Rates have increased nearly 20% in the last year (yes, I’m a long term resident). No noticeable improvements have been made.If you are looking for a quiet and carefree RV site, here you are met with almost daily trash truck pickup and noisy leaf / dust blowers for hours (don’t bother trying to keep your vehicle or rig / RV clean with an incessant dusting). The entire park endured 2+ weeks of tree trimming noise.The Clubhouse is dated and for nearly 2 years, no usable pool sticks. Although they advertise “FREE PARKING”, no visitor parking within the park is available.Management is reactive versus proactive. There have been numerous water outages without any urgency to restore supply nor notify patrons (I now keep the water tank full).Be sure to write down the electric meter reading when you arrive. Not confirmed but, there is talk within the park about meter reading inconsistencies.Sunland has 3 sites in the San Diego area and are managed similarly.

Great experience! Everyone on staff including the maintenance staff are super nice. It was my first experience living in a camper long term and they made it well worth it. Free Wi-Fi, cable and water. Loved having the pool, hot tub, and laundry mat on site. If I had more time I would have utilized the pool table and work out equipment in the club house but when our has ran out on the night of thanksgiving we where grateful to use the oven in the clubhouse. Park is kept clean and when our water pipe busted they fixed it same day and got us running again within the hour. Park is quiet at night and never had any problems with people living there. Overall good experience and would recommend highly!! Thank you guys for being so accommodating to us!!

Location is great .. attendances is awesome ..but just to many people that dont belong in park Romain around park looking for something to break in

What a terrible place lots and lots of cockroaches, people motivated by illegal substances and the management staff woefully ill prepared to facilitate anything. For a facility this large you would expect to see more than two groundsman. And the water that is there existing has some interesting properties to it Im surprised the health department has not shut down all five of the principles RV resorts I do not believe one is better maintained than any of the other four.

Pros- CheapCons- completely ant infestedcant have a conversation outside because the bordering freeway is too loud (also can barely sleep over the sound of the freeway all night)clubhouse has BUGS and RATSinternet only works in clubhouseCramped parking spots (no visitor parking)The power has been out at least a week. There is no air conditioning and temperatures are 110 degrees plus. The management refuses to take responsibility. We had to pay to stay elsewhere because of the heat dangers and manager just said that it was not his problem.They refused to reimburse us even though its completely dysfunctional. I am surprised that place has not been shut down.Could NOT pay me to stay there again.This RV park is a PIT FROM HELL.

My time at vacationer has been outstanding its quiet, nobody bothers you the people and staff are friendly and very helpful

I am a first time RVer, and I really enjoyed staying at Vacationer RV Resort. I called around and they had the most resonable rates. The facilities and grounds were very clean, and the staff was nice, friendly and helpful. I would stay here again and recommend this resort to my friends. This place is ok but the power went out two days in a row and it was out all day and night and it was a 104 degrees outside with no ac it was miserable

Our boat was broken into in the back storage lot. We have been double-charged on our electricity . Stop told us to call SD G&E but SD genie said they cant do anything about the charges since the account is in vacationer RV parks name. Our boat was broken into and live to in for over a week by Tweakers and no one not even the security guard noticed. Park is full of tweakers and our boat door was ripped off and ransacked.

Best RV Park in the Area. Rates are reasonable, free cable tv, free water, and great service. They have a clubhouse with a full kitchen, tv area and pool table. Outside of there is a meticulously maintained pool with showers and bathrooms. The spots vary. So pick the one that fits your RV. Easy access to the freeway and shopping. Just ask the front desk. The staff is very nice. Location is the only this that brings it down a little bit. Otherwise, its perfect.

The park is in a good location in regard to ease of accessing the freeway. There are a lot of long term tenants in the park who have accumulated a lot of stuff in their spaces. The rules do not seem to pertain to the long term tenants. We were there for three months and had issues with long term tenants parking in the space we paid for, as well as trash and food waste thrown outside from the same tenant. We had to pick up their trash and food debris on a daily basis as well as before we could move and leave the park. The staff are friendly and willing to help but are unable to enforce some of the rules. There is a laundry room but the majority of the washers and dryers were broken for the duration of our stay. The roads are very narrow and hard to navigate due to a lot of cars being parked on the roads. There is a gate to get into the park and a key code you must have to enter. However, on numerous occasions there were different delivery drivers and random people accessing the park. One evening a police chopper flew overhead at about 2 am and they were looking for a tenant of the park. Two days later the same tenant was in the park. This park is overpriced for what it is and needs a lot of rules to be enforced. We have stayed at a Sunland park in Hemet and we had the same expectations going to another Sunlad. This park was far below what I would consider a standard for any Rv park. I give this park two stars but that is simply based on geographic location and friendliness of the staff.

UPDATE about a year ago travelling between RV parks I stayed at the sunland rv which is located in La Mesa off Alvarado rd. To my surprise or delight....the previous managememt had been dismissed (in which i had previously experienced horrible service) and I was met with a new much better manager for that property who was dedicated to providing better service. She informed me that I should have a second visit to the Vacationer because her best friend was the new manager there and that the previous manager was terminated due to similar complaints. So I never actually made it back but I do hope that they are still running with good management. Running these parks cant be an easy job at all.

Worst Customer Service. No Hospitality whatsoever. And he not only treated me badly you should have heard the way he spoke to the person ahead before me. When I asked to speak to the manager he made it known that he was the manager and he was in charge (Jim).

We stayed here for a month and wasnt impressed....way over priced and its more of a permanent place to live than an RV Resort...the activities center around the permanent tenants with lots of drinking including some minors...just wasnt like any Resort we have stayed i dont recommend this rv resort look elsewhere
