The greatest most relaxing 3 days I have ever experienced in my life. My wife and I went for her birthday and had an amazing time. I am not a gambler and she loves the slots. I had such an amazing time playing in the casino. We won so much and gave it right back to the casino and I have never had a better time in my life giving away thousands of dollars. My wife had more fun watching me get excited about winning $12 on the penny slots than when she was up over a thousand dollars. We played and won so much that we were upgraded from gold member to platinum in less than 24 hours. The woman who brought us our upgraded card was amazing and just made us feel so special like a high roller in the movies or on TV. She recognized me on the way to my car to get some stuff and talked and made me feel so good. She spotted us playing and cheered us on as we were winning and made a point to say goodbye and happy birthday as we were leaving when she saw us walking out while she was working. This employee made our time so much better. To continue on the experience; the hotel was beautiful, the pool was amazing the games were so much fun especially since it was my first time i was like a child at Christmas. We won and lost and won and gave it back but we had an amazing time and we are already planning our next trip. I everything was amazing except our first meal which is not the fault of the casino. Thank you so much for giving a first time casino guest and a birthday girl the best most needed 3 days of fun in years. We will definitely be returning many times for many years.

Always a good time to be had @ Sycuan. Love the new look of the hotel, and open feeling in the casino is a relief for me. Some tend to have that packed in a sardine can kinda feeling. Sycuan definitely is not one of those. Staff are friendly & helpful. Ive never had a negative experience. 2 enthusiastic thumbs up!

Over the past 7 days Ive hit up nearly every casino in San Diego county and Sycuan is #1. Theres a bus schedule that runs every half hour which makes it super easy to get there. Sycuan is also crazy spacious and it has a second floor with more slots more tables and a hall for Bingo. My favorite part about all of these slots and tables is how they pay. Ive won more money at this casino than every other casino combined. Ive won so much money I got a room to stay 3 more days, and the room is amazing. If youre heading to gamble, watch some sports, play Bingo, or just to relax in the lazy river or swim in the pool; Sycuan is the place to be. Sycuan is the place to win.

A great place to visit!!! Loved it! Won money too! A little far from L.A., but close enough. I recommend youd visit! Or stay, theres a great hotel with all the amenities. Great scenery! Just beautiful. Sorry if I sound like a paid P.R. but that it is not the case. I just REALLY enjoyed my stay there.

Really loved my stay here, very beautiful and clean. Only thing I was shocked with how much smoking was accepted on the casino floor. They only have a section for non smokers which I think should be the other way around. But I mean otherwise the valet, security, and all staff were pleasant.

Friendly personnel, however the non-smoking section seems too small and too confined. I enjoyed spending my time before when the area around the food court were all non smoking, and love spending my time out there. I wish they returned it back and make it a non smoking area again. I dont feel safe playing at the old non smoking section, where I could still smell the smoke.

Very elegant and customer service is beyond anything i ever imagined. They go above and beyond to make your stay a great one. Dinning experience was fantastic with assorted restaurants. As for the gambling, loosest slots around!!! All in all, a great experience and my wife and i give it a rating.

Sycuan has added more staff, which has allowed more attention to be given to the casino patrons. They are very conscious about protecting patrons and staff by constant cleaning, which makes it a safe place to go to. The only suggestion I have is that they have more then one place to get food after midnight. Employees are very kind and helpful. It is the #1 casino in San Diego county.

I absolutely LOVE and ADORE Sycuan Casino!!!! They are simply the best casino in SO-CAL by a landslide!!! From everything from their slot machine variety, to their staff, to the player perks etc!!! I win pretty much every time I go there, and all of that combined keeps me coming back for more time and time again!! I am actually on my way over to Sycuan right now as I type this review!! Haha.Sycuan just plain ol Rocks!!!

It was so much fun. Waitress and bartenders were very kind. A very fun place to relax... drink and eat by the pool. U cant get much better than that.

Really like the jacks or better machines, bathrooms are always clean, anr the hotel rooms are super awesome as well.

My wife and I were in the San Diego area and I told her that we should go to a casino. She had me pick and we landed at Sycuan Resort. Our first time at this casino. Beautiful and spacious resort. We were there for about 3 to 4 hrs. My wife and I were both pleased at the attention to cleaning and sanitation. Made us feel very comfortable during this pandemic. We played slots and had a great time. Definitely a must when in the San Diego area.

Safe and clean, great great variety of machines and tables. We got a room and use the pool and the pool service everything was fantastic. They require masks inside the casino and around the pool deck but not while you are in the swimming pool or seated to eat or drink. We also ate at the steakhouse which was wonderful. We felt very very safe and comfortable here.it is supposed to be a non-smoking casino however there were people smoking but you didnt smell it. I would say they have an excellent air filtration system. if you come with the wrong kind of mask or face covering they will give you a very good one.

Sycuan is an awesome casino property with an always top-tier service. I never have to struggle to find a beverage person, cashier, or tech service when you need it. Always very friendly. Restaurants are an amazing selection depending on what time you like going. The new All-suite hotel boasts of great amenities and a very luxe feel all over. Slot machine variety is better than most.However, this is not one of my favorite casinos due to the fact that they seem to have a never ending array of characters loitering about. This may be due to the fact that they have a 24/7 shuttle service ferrying people all over SD. They need to have a better Security system who is always roving around the floor to make sure there is no one loitering or bothering people for change or cigarettes.

This place was packed this past Saturday night, but was fun if your trying to go out and get distracted a bit. Definitely enter on your own risk, if you have pre-conditions. The cigarette smell isnt too bad either, because it has good air circulation.

Its awesome how theyre taking care of the area and checking temps with the covid-19 out there. But then technology is good. The new hotel section has its machines spaced better. People not on your back! And smell of less smoke... which works for non smokers

Always a good time at this casino. Its clean and modern with new games and staff is always super nice and helpful. You can smoke but also if you dont like being around all that smoke they do provide a non smoking section. Love sycuan just waiting on my turn to hit that jackpot

Had 2 bad experiences at this casino in the past 4 months. 1. I was told to clean my own table when asking if a table to be wiped down. 2. I had a hotel reservation and when i arrived the was a line if people waiting to get in. The security had stated that the casino was at capacity but hotel guests and black card members could come in. So I told them I had a reservation and showed them my confirmation email and they said I had to go to the end of the line and wait to get in. Mind that it was close to midnight and we are first responseders getting out of a extended shift.

Very nice and clean environment. Friendly staff! We had dinner at the sports bar and grill and it was great. My husband even won $125 on his first pull on the penny slots! We are definitely coming back when we can stay the night and really enjoy ourselves.

Sycuan is by far my favorite casino. Friendly staff and a great selection of Machines. Love the poker room too. Five stars l!!!

Very nice hotel and casino. Will definitely go back.They need to work out getting drinks faster with the COVID stuff. The lines were 5 to 8 groups deep and would take 30 minutes or so. Too long.

Recently I went to Barona Casino. To say the least I was extremely impressed.The food at Sage restaurant has always been good with the staff being courteous and attentive. The casino took to heart the safety of their guests at the restaurant. We observed typical table clearing and added effort to clean the floor, seats, and table. The food has always been hot, now there is the added precaution of covering the food with saran wrap.About the casino. Again the management has gone the extra mile. We observed constant cleaning of surfaces touched by guests. Within minutes of a guest leaving a machine, an employee was cleaning the surfaces.These things made my trip more enjoyable because my safety was taken into consideration.Sycuan casino has done some of the things mentioned above but not to the extent of Barona.I have to say the casino I am the least impressed with is Valley View. I ate there and the food was not cooked fully and was not flavorful. As for the casino, I was appalled. As for social distancing, there are some machines turned off but there are still many machines operating next to each other with no barrier. Social distancing is a after thought that received a little bit of attention. It appeared the Covid-19 rules were all but ignored.I sat at one machine for 3 hours to watch the cleaning crews. In my little area nobody cleaned the the row of machines. This not to say there was not staff doing cleaning, there just was not very many employees doing it.Overall, for food, courtesy of the staff, safety of the guests Barona has my appreciation. I will go back to Barona

Always enjoy coming to Sycuan to play! High Limit area is my favorite. Very rare I walk out a loser in the high limit area or even Sycuan casino period. And getting a room has never really been any trouble at all. Ive never had any issues with casino or hotel staff at all. Kinda sucks if you get a hotel room you cant bring your own alcoholic beverage thru security.. Directly to your hotel room. Otherwise its a great hotel/casino!

Nice casino. Good variety of slots and table games. Now has poker room. Nicely done renovations. Recommend a visit. We ate at the Rank and File restaraunt. Had the Philly and onion rings. It was ok but nothing noteworthy. Hence 4 stars.

My husband and I stayed two nights and had a nice getaway but we were disappointed that there were no floats for the lazy river and the swim up bar in the adult pool was not manned with a bartender. The room was very nice and the shower was incredible but the pillows were a little hard for our taste. I would ask for the feathers pillows if we stayed again.

I LOVE SYCUAN... Staying a night or two at the hotels like a mini-vacation get away for me ..By landing onto the golf course, play a 9-hole, tennis..then back to the casino life, hotel n pool ..drinks ....ah man, Thank you!!

Machines are tight . dropped a few hundred quick. I think the local casinos need to loosen it up . I really believe that all of the California casinos need to give us Back a little of our money. Some one is going to go postal one of these days and the blame will rest on the casinos for being greety

I did a 3 day staycation at the Sycuan casino hotel. The room was an upgrade I got through Trip Advisor. Very clean with all of the expected amenities. Except an in room coffee maker. So I had to go down to the 1st floor Starbucks in the morning. And the higher end restaurants were closed.I spent time lounging at the pool. I played golf at the nearby course. And played poker every night.Masks were required and social distance is observed. All in all I had an excellent time.

The hospitality was amazing. I dont gamble so I cant speak up about the machines. The hotel was so nice and everyone there was always trying to assist. Great place to stay and the pool was awesome.

Cool place to hang out. Hotel is always clean. Machines are fun. Tables are fun. Seems as safe as it can get during covid-19.

I like the renovations theyve done. The pool is nice and I love the lazy river although its a bit pricey to go at I think $45 for a day pass. Plus the drinks are pricey. But all in all it was a great time. Then we were able to go out to eat and gamble after.

People are friendly. Good food good music. And parking is plentiful. The machines are fun, fun, fun. Take the gamble. Visit Sycuan!!!

Absolutely beautiful casino. This use yo be my favorite casino but after the other night I can say I will not make that drive again. I lost $1200 in less than 5 minutes on the table. Just loss after loss.

We showed up to find that this is no longer a non smoking casino!! Sure a tiny little old section that smells way on the other side in the old section, but that is not want we come for!! So disappointing and unacceptable!! We have always enjoyed our vacation here and upon arrival find that no one told us of this huge nasty change! We came from several hours away, this changed our entire trip and we almost went back home... Thanks to Barona Casino for having common sense to have a huge casino non smoking we are now their customers!! I hate writing this bad review, but this was a bad call on the casinos part. Wear a mask unless your smoking a cigarette so others can suffer more, give me a break! I am allergic to smoke and is why your casino has been our destination for years.. such a shame. Unless you change back to non smoking you have lost our business. So not recommending your casino anymore to friends.

We had a great experience staying at the hotel for a weekend, the casino offers an area that is smoke free and we enjoyed that option.The pool are is beautiful and well taken care.Rooms are well decorated with a modern clean design, the bed and pillows are so comfortable.Bathrooms are very spacious with plushy towels.We will come back to this fun casino!

Lots of slots, table games in new hotel part. Bingo was happening upstairs. Many choices of restaurants, but not the buffet yet. Live music in hotel lobby area. When I was there the only food court area open was pizza. But have bbq, sandwiches and more if they open them up.

I havent went to the casino in a long time but they were very friendly warm and inviting like family thats the place you want to go to just got to be safe and they were very clean sanitized everything it was really really nice night and I won and we had a good time it was amazing

Smoking everywhere. Slots are generally tight but you can get a little play. Noone wheres masks because theyre all smoking or drinking or dont care. Didnt feel safe with spacing but they do have some spacing.

Slots are ok... Hotel is cool, thought it would be better until I learned there is not the ability to do a late check out... I’ve never stayed at a hotel where that was not an option. Unbelievable. I was and other guests was disappointed. They say it’s because they are at full capacity and need to clean the rooms, but come on now... full capacity? Anyway I’ll come back here and there but probably will not stay ever again!

Stayed in sycuan this weekend. Casino is nice and has good social distancing practices in place. I was not a fan of the rooms. Stayed on the 12th floor, and could still here vehicles outside. All night I can hear people going in and out of rooms. The bed was hard and pillows over stuffed. Pool was closed so unable to give feedback on it. I dont plan on staying here again. I will say staff was really friendly everywhere.

I use to hardly ever play Sycuan but after a unfair situation occured at another local casino I have been playing here at have been treated very well and have hit two jackpots the last two visits so no complaints here .I highly recommend this Casino great staff. very clean incredible service !

Sycuan Casino and Resort is a lovely place for a staycation. Everything is beautifully put together. The hotel is seemingly new. I learned that this casino and resort opened March 2019. The staff were all very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We could have spent all day at the pool. There’s a lazy river but it doesn’t make much sense without the floats... we enjoyed the pool bar food and drink menu. Our other food experiences were not so great. Our dinner at the Viewpoint was okay: my calamari made it to our table cold, I had to send it back to the kitchen- when it was returned to me it was super greasy and it appeared to have been fried using cornmeal- it didn’t look good. Our breakfast at the Rank and File was the worst breakfast ever- the hash browns had been fried from frozen potatoes- our fried eggs came out rubbery, our bacon was the precooked kind but somehow over cooked- the worst breakfast ever. My gambling experience was cool- though no free alcohol beverage service. I enjoyed ultimate Texas holdem and roulette, the 15 dollar buy-in was a killer. I played bingo twice- you get to play 20 games for a low price. It was my first time playing bingo- and I will be back. The hotel had live music. The smoking areas of the hotel were not as bad as I thought they would be. Parking was free and they offer a shuttle service. Golf carts pick you up from your car and transfer you to the lobby door. Overall, it was a nice stay.

Lots of slot machines to play and staff are always cleaning the machines. Restrooms are always clean. There are new restaurants so there is more variety.

First of all. Everyone is so genuine and polite. In customer relations type of busi ess, i was treated more like family member, then customer. The slots are hitting.and lucky enougj to be there for the opening of a new bar and lounge Elicit. Things are slowly returning back to normal with all of the changes weve all had to make but Sycuan casino has been tbere to make things a little bit easiet and.alot less stressful. And dont forget the have.the best members rewards program available. HOME OF THE JACKPOTS!!

This place is a gem and the surrounding area is so pretty with all the hills. The casino itself is very open, clean, and well-lit. It wasnt dark & smoky. All of the staff were super friendly and the restaurant was really good! Oh. Our room was beautiful, too!! Ill definitely be returning!!

It was a very good experience even though I lose a lot a money but i really have fun. It is a very big place where you can play and play and play all day long. FREE DRINKS and good food, only thing a didnt like its the transportation, you have to wait 1 hour or sometimes 2 hours to get a bus to a trolley station. But everything else its good as far as i could live.

Chances of winning are great. Also reward points are very generous.

It was pretty much a standard casino. Lots of machines, some tables etc. I think they have done a sub par job of following CDC guidelines. Slot machines werent really following social distancing in my opinion. It wasnt very busy so it wasnt an issue but I feel that businesses should do their part right now. It doesnt matter at the end of the day what legislation dictates. We as business owners and especially essential workers must follow CDC guidelines and do our part to protect each other so that we can get this under control and actually rebuild the economy. Otherwise were gonna be on a merry-go-round for much longer than it would be. I apologize for the PSA but I cant be a member of the audience. We must lead by example.

Place is good,but not good in giving the people who lose their moneyyyyyy and asking for a little free play or a pack of cigarette turning them down.

My husband and I stayed at the resort and had an awesome experience. Upon check-in, the Receptionist/Host was very welcoming and highly professional. I wish Id caught his name. The rooms were clean and the bed was fairly comfortable. I loved the modern decor inside of the rooms. We visited the Elicit, which is an upscale lounge and sushi bar. The manager served us, and actually comped our drinks, due to us sitting for quite sometime before being acknowledged. He provided excellent customer service as an apology. The atmosphere and vibe in the Elicit was really nice. We also visited Spa Ritual and received a couples massage. The service was excellent! The spa was very clean and sanitary, and offered great amenities. Overall, the customer service throughout the hotel was exceptional.

New Hotel, buffet, restaurants, casino ballroom are awesome, great time with family and friends.

Went this week and DO NOT FEEL SAFE there. They are NOT following CDC guidelines about wearing masks or 6ft social distancing at all. Loads of large groups of people standing around smoking and drinking with NO MASKS ON. Lots of SMOKING like one right after another so they dont have to wear a mask. The casino is over 90% smoking. People begging for money and people that should go to bed and seriously get some sleep. Wont be surprised if something bad happens there with the element that is there. I think you should search people for weapons upon entering.

Terrible!!! Wont be going anymore. Was there with a friend last week and a male in this 60s grabbed her hand and pulled it out of the atm as she was putting her card in, an employee saw it happen and would not say anything to security when she demanded they speak to her. The security basically did NOTHING and said the male was having a problem with the atm and people get upset when it comes to their CASH. Oh ok so those are the clients you support and cater to, not to mention the terrible NO MASK OK while smoking they allow. Unbelievable the amount of people not wearing a mask because they just keep chain smoking one right after another, then they also just sit there with the burning cigarette in hand so they dont have to wear a mask. They also allow people to walk around in the smoking section right by you and blow smoke on you as you are playing. We DONT FEEL SAFE at all there!

Getting better I guess seems as though they discarded some of the riff raff, machines are fun and seem to be loose enough for even me to win a dollar or two. Drinks are great and bartending staff are cool. Keep up the progress sycuan youre doing better. Oh yeah the smoke and dirty ashtrays still are overwhelming but I guess thats part of casino life . :/
