Please give our thanks to the Manager(s) and the staff for the wonderful experience that we had at your hotel yesterday. We had an amazing time. The room was so comfortable and the food at the hotel was very delicious. Looking forward to staying with you in the future. What a beautiful place, guys! Strongly recommended!
Positive: Pools and Hot Tubs are open. Negative: Ice machines are down....boo and there are no mocrowaves
Pretty new to golf, but played Pine Glen this morning. After 4 shots, I thought I was in a sand trap (par 3 course). But, noooo, I was on the green. EXCESSIVE amounts of sand on all the greens added a bunch of strokes to my game. Yea, it was the sand, that’s what caused it. In all seriousness there is LOT of sand on all greens today. Always good service though.
Great place to have breakfast/lunch. The place was very clean, tables apart within more than 6feet, indoor or outdoor seating, all the staff members were wearing masks and all were very professional and courteous. We love coming here because its close, its quiet and very reasonable. Highly recommendThey also can entertain parties, outside and inside.
Had high hopes going in. Relatively simple up and down course, with a couple challenging teeshots into tight fairways. Super crowded with people hitting across at each other all day and a slow pace. Tee boxes were pretty banged up as were several fairways, and had some temp green as well. Tried really hard to like it, but overall probably wont go back. In the vicinity (15 min drive) of other high-end courses, has some work to do to be competitive.
Singing Hills Golf Resort has three different golf courses on site. I played Pine Glen today which is their executive course(only par 3s). This course was a lot of fun and did not have many sand bunkers. I was able to play 18-holes with a cart for $13.49. Now this was a special deal but it was absolutely worth it. The staff was incredible (in my opinion some of the best in San Diego)! I would absolutely come back and play Pine Glen again, along with the other two courses they offer.
I recently started golfing and the par 3 golf course is perfect for me to learn. My husband who has golfed for years practices his short game. Ive taken group lessons and private lessons and enjoyed them. Julie is an excellent teacher.
I dont know whats wrong with America or this world today besides everything going crazy but made a reservation for 3 days at this place and I went to check in they told me my total and how much the deposit would be and that they could allow me to pay for my room in cash but the deposit had to be on a card, whats the difference, icing on the cake was the lady at the desk when I was trying to check in was Rude, unnecessarily, and she seemed to turn her nose in the air when I told her that I had my service dog with me. End result I did not stay there I went into El Cajon to a Best Western where I got a room that had an in-room hot tub so I was happier there .
Good resort. Could be a lil better. Rooms are a little dated (not even a microwave in the room) but all around great service and nice staff. Absolutely best bartender was Dee-Dee you cant ask for a better person service and all also Absolutely best all around service came from Daniel (waiter, golf shop, and more)Only one bad incident (had a bug in my room) let the front desk know and they had someone there in less than 10mins to address the issue.Ill definitely return to the facility again.
I loved the driving range and the practice green. I played the Willow Glen course. Its in good shape except the 14th hole has a temporary green. This course has good views and open fairways. All in all a challenging and fair course.
Played last weekend for the first time ever. The course is in terrible shape. They said the greens had been punched, but that is not the case. No punching, but lots of sand on the greens. Shaggy grass and lots of dead spots. Not even the tee boxes were mowed. For a full price round, it wasn’t even close to worth it. The surroundings were pretty and I enjoyed the scenery....but not worth the price for the conditions.
This course, clubs down, is the best course that Ive ever played. They are equipped with GPS tracked carts that provide your position for the option to order food, drinks, and/or snacks for delivery to your current location from the carts touchscreen display! Theres no waiting until the departure of the 9th hole when you abruptly get hungry on the 5th hole!
Very nice rooms. Your patio faces the golf course. Just sit out there and relax.
Quiet and relaxing, great for de-stressung. Views of the hillside are great.
The location of the course is awesome. The layout for the two eighteen golf courses is decent with several water features increasing difficulty. The greens are the worst Ive ever seen on a golf course!! I spoke to the starter and he indicated there was a fungus on them and they couldnt control it or cut the greens like they need to. Something needs to be done to resolve the problem or more golfers will stop playing there. The facilities are top notch and the staff are great but the greens need work.
Overall not bad. Fairways and roughs could be improved. Really nice carts and staff.
I have been here a few times to play golf. Its a pretty nice golf course. Pro shop is super nice as well. The price is a little to high though. Would be nice if they lowered the greens fee. They have a driving range, restaurant and also a snack bar. They have a snack bar out by the 9th hole as well. Course is well maintained and fun. The casino is just down the road as well if you want to go play the slots and eat at the buffet after a nice long game of golf.
Love this place...Grace Christina ivan jayda amazing reps with great customer service skills!I love the environment the quality and the professional staff....i faced one incident that wasnt pleasant but then found out the employee was new yet manager fixed it
Fun course, although the greens were in really rough shape. Pace was great and carts were clean and sanitized.
One of my favorite courses, but today it was 105 degrees out there, several greens (WillowCourse) needed cutting compared to some others which have some blight eating away at em. Fairways were good overall but heat uncharacteristically made whole course very sticky, grabby with the irons.....
Good place to hang out and grab some food. Always in good company.
Nice dining room and excellent service from Victoria, Kevin, and Charlie. The menu has many options to satisfy your taste buds. Our dinners (sea bass, chili, and shepherds pie were excellent. The meals being served to other patrons also looked great! We walked thru the bar after dinner and it was going strong where you could also enjoy the same menu!!
The staff was very accommodating. I was there for my nephews wedding which was on Sunday afternoon. I tried to get an extended half day, but I couldnt. It would have been nice to be able to hangout on your property a little bit longer before the wedding started at 3 p.m. other than that I thought it was great. The reception was at your restaurant on site. The food was amazing. The staff was very friendly. And we did have a good time.
Its very private and the rooms are large. Lots of options. I had a 2 bedroom appartment basically.
Very interesting fairways and very well maintained. I drove around and watched my friends golf. This can get a bit boring but this always had interesting views.
Great course, clubhouse and restaurant! 36 holes of fun!
Rooms super nice. Grounds are clr and well kept. Staff f iendly. Peaceful atmosphere
Its a nice place to stay it quite secluded and you can park right in front of your room.
3 x 18 hole courses, 3 free putting practice greens with a sand trap chip on. Reasonable rates.
Pretty location, property a bit dated. Beds a bit too soft and pillows so soft they flatten. Large room could use a bit more light. Peaceful. Nice balcony with chairs, most of them shared. What could be lovely views are blocked by trees. Staff was very nice. Would consider stay again.
Gulf course had dead rabbits everywhere!?! Who wants to see this!! Workers harassing us because we film our golfing experience.. I will never come back. We were having such a great time until they started causing issues..
The rooms are big and nice like having your own cottage on the golf green
This was the worst possible place to stay one could imagine. From the room, to the “service”. I’d avoid this place like the plague..
Nice 18 holes, get a cart way too much to walk. Great family Course
Its terrible to play at the willow Glen course, whole green was covered with sand and didnt cut. Fairway and tee box required to be maintenance for lack of watering and cut to regular height,it looks like rough. It sucks, why peoples are going and paid $80~$90 green fee there?id never been experienced such a worst golf courses in the San Diego area.
A very relaxed and quite place to relax and get away
I loved the place. So peaceful, with a golf field view and two swimming pools. Everything was clean in the room.
Positive: The pool and hot tub were open during covid-19, the staff were very welcoming and made you feel right at home. It was our first time there and Guillermo was amazing. He answered my questions over the phone and remembered me when arrived. We will return! Negative: The rates on the weekend should not go up. I dont understand why this changed. It does make it harded for single moms trying to give their child good memories harder.
Everything was great. Really like that there were shuttles to and from the casino. The only thing I didnt like was that I upgraded to a suite and got there one hour earlier and had to wait for almost an hour for the room. But I guess that was my fault....
I have stayed there many times. The staff always welcomes you back and treats you like a friend. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing. Great golf.
Great golf course two 18 hole coursesand 1 par 3 course
Full day. Great location
Great price for an afternoon round. Course is pretty well-kept for the terrain & climate. Holes are challenging and we had a great time.
Great place for a group outing. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner and 36 holes a day, no need to leave the property. Unless, you want to shuttle to the casino! A well run facility with two 18 s and a par 3 course. Lots of fun.
One of the worst places I have ever been. Air conditioning breaks in the Room. 115 outside Had to suffer for 4 to 5 hours without any air conditioning. Golf courses are all tore up. You will regret stain here.
This review is for the Oak Glen golf course. I was the first one out at 7 am, thanks to the foursome who had a tee time and were gracious enough to let me get out ahead of them.I had read elsewhere that early morning is not advisable because many holes run due east, making it hard to follow your ball. So true. I believe I lost four balls due to this - I basically had to ask myself which direction and how far did that one FEEL like. Making it even more difficult was that carts were allowed on only one side of the fairway. No fault of the course - just something to be aware of.The course is in great shape, and is nice enough. I didn’t find it special in any regard. It certainly is a tad overpriced if you’re paying the regular rate. The carts are nice, with all the fixings. The facility is quite nice, actually.I was told the pro shop opened at 6 am, but that wasn’t the case. More like 6:40. The guy wasn’t the friendliest. He had a hard time understanding why I wanted to get out before the foursome. Maybe in the wrong line of work.In summary, nice course, great facility, layout is average.
This course is beautifully maintained enjoyable to golf with or without a cart. A large portion of the course is shaded and has a unique feel like a remote country getaway. Truly enjoyable place for a relaxing game in peace. Simple and peasant, Loved it!
The room was spacious and nice. The pillows were way too soft, no firmness, woke up with a neck and back pain. The area is quiet except our neighbors were quite loud for awhile but then they left for the remaining midnite and came back early the next day and was noisy again. My guess is they went to the casino all nite and came back to go to sleep. This place wasnt too crowded which i liked because it would be too noisy.Overall it was a good stay but i think its over priced. I used my points to almost get not quite half off but i still ended up paying over $150.00 out of pocket.
Great service, great food and a nice course
Had such a Relaxing weekend Casino so close by took shuttle from here when I was ready for pick they called me a shuttle to pick me up
This property is a lovely older resort with beautiful grounds and large, comfortable rooms. The staff were helpful, friendly and eager to please. One surprise was, when I checked out, there was no place for me to print out my airline boarding pass (nor could the desk staff print out my receipt.
Peaceful and felt very safe now that the scariest of COVID19 is over. We could have used a microwave though I never asked. Restaurant food was excellent and reasonable with very friendly service. The tables at the restaurant were spaced out and the wait staff were very conscientious. We will most definitely be back. We don’t need the hustle and bustle of the casino hotel down the road. We never visited the casino. The pool and hot tub were wonderful though I noticed the pool gate doors were open a few times. The first night or two a 3 year old was outside his room on the ground floor and could have gone right into the poor area. I hope they will see this review and fix that issue. Pool gates should never stay open. Propping them open is one thing but they should be designed to slam shut and not stay open. Our stay was very comfortable and we were very happy, even staying a fourth night.
Very nice, quiet and beautiful !
Quiet, large rooms and a table big enough to for games, eating and work.
I like the environment there. We stayed there in winter, so we didnt need the air conditioner. The resort was quiet. However if the air conditioner is on, I think it would be loud in the room. Btw, I liked the spacy bathroom.
Nice rooms great service and always a pleasent experience
Nice room but it was a little stuffy due to the central air not working well.
Seems like the maintenance is lacking a little bit.... but a nice golf course wouldnt pay $105 so I played the par 3
Beautiful and amazing everything. Food, casino, resort, staff, everyone is amazing. Thanks u to our friend and boss for an amazing getaway. You know who u are.
Tee boxes and fairways need to be cut to regular height. They were like the rough. It sucks to hit a drive down the center of the fairway and not get any roll. The greens were nice. Its the first time I played the course, but I expected better from a golf resort.
It was in horrible shape. It had a temporary green. Id ask for my money back if I wasnt in a tournament.
Fun disc golf course to practice or if youre looking for something new. Its nice that they have multiple tee pads for each hole making for 27 different but very similar holes. There is a $5 fee and you must pay at the hotel lobby.
We love this beautiful and peaceful place!
Absolutely beautiful layout and scenery...18 hole par 3 is my favorite executive course in the county and the other 2 full size courses will not disappoint... beautiful landscaping and the courses are fun and challenging.. Oh and did I mention super affordable
Good speed of play and great group
This visit was just for lunch and the service/food was great but $24 for a pitcher of beer is ridiculous. I would give 1 star for the pitcher price, but Ive golfed @ all 3 courses many times and they have always been in great condition with a reasonable pace of play...UPDATE: just played the course again and the condition is okay but the pace of play is terrible (6 hours). Called in and theres no marshals so talked to the Manager Chris woods after the round and he just blew us off. If I wanted a 6 hour round I would play rotten wood for $30
There was some confusion at check-in, but was quickly resolved. Had to get re-keyed when they checked me out too soon. There is a convenient, inexpensive restaurant annex (not the main restaurant) that served delicious breakfasts and lunches. The service was quick and friendly and I enjoyed all the meals I ate there. The grounds are extensive due to the golf course and associated ranges. Two pools are available, we enjoyed one with a hot tub despite the lights being off. It is convenient to visiting El Cajon, very little traffic between them. There is an airport shuttle that can be arranged, plus a free shuttle to the casino.
Love the greenery here and how clean and quiet it is
I checked in paid deposit as required. Then next morning there was a knock at door regarding points not enough to comp room. Am a diamond card member. I play a lot in casino and unhappy that I continue to lose. Sycuan does not hold up to all they say they offer. Even with card in slot machine it isnt calculating points. I was embarrassed and disturbed that this happen. Then after checking out. The deposit is still on hold longer than any place I have used it. Dont bother talking to manager he really cant help on the deposit hold. Joshua Carter needs to figure out how to keep VIP members ...happy. making us feel like coming back to stay.
The best place to relax and have a good time it’s like been out on nature love it and definitely recommend it
Loved this place! Food at cafe great! Staff very nice! Room was amazing. Spacious and nice. Beds were very comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here. Would love to go back!!
The staff is awesome.
Rude rude employees and management. The course itself needs watering, definitely the worst course I have ever played. Cant believe people pay to play here.
Great food, and ombionce!
The BEST variety of womens golf wear in San Diego County, plus the cute accessories to match and go with whatever outfit! Very impressed. The greens are looking good and ready to play!
My company held our annual Christmas party at the restaurant here, and the food was pretty dang good. I didnt get to tour the whole resort, but it seemed like a pretty nice place.
Liked everything about the resort just wish I had time to stay longer and enjoy all the grounds, pool and more golf
Unprofessional staff who harassed for being new players, under kept field with a dead rabbit. Average experience till we found the rabbit and teen staff harassed for being new players...
Hot dry greens are horribly slow but a fun course its the old Singing Hills Golf Course
The greens were super slow and bumpy....and the course wasnt in the great shape it was just over a month ago.
Nice Place for Lunch. Pretty View from dinning room. Decent Cobb Salad, not the best but decent. Service was good and waitress was nice. If in the area, Id stop in for Lunch again.
Its mediocre. Greens are decent. Great driving range. Is the beaten path tho.
Oak golf course is lack of maintenance. but area is nice place.
The tough Prime Rib at the dining room, was the least enjoyable Ive eaten ever! Hotel Property is nice enough and presents a good value for the area. Very comfortable bed, pillows and accommodations.
Nice view from dining room. Good service and fair prices.
Your employees are always courteous theyre prompt and its a very nice room that we stay in and we appreciate the cleanliness and the service
This review is not about the hotel itself. I loved the hotel. It was really nice, we enjoyed our stay and I would recommend it. The problem was with David S., the shuttle driver. We got a shuttle to the casino which is provided by the hotel. When we got out of the casino, the valet called a shuttle for us and about 20 minutes later a shuttle showed up but said we would have to wait for another one because he had to get fuel. That driver told us it would be two to three minutes. We waited for another 25 minutes for the next one to show up and that driver told us we would have to wait until the next one. Finally, the third shuttle showed up (after we had waited an hour and 15 minutes) and the driver started to say that we would have to wait. I told the driver we had been waiting for over an hour and he proceeded to yell at me that they were having a shift change and the other driver should have told me that. He was very nasty and out of control. He subsequently allowed us to board and took us back to the hotel. There were a few other guests on the ride who were shaking their heads in disbelief and I mentioned that I was going to complain. The driver then muttered to himself that I dont give a f___ what you do. I was so shocked that I said absolutely nothing and got off the bus. We subsequently called for another shuttle to the casino after 1/2 hour. The same driver showed up and when we got on the bus he turned his head the other way way and said nothing to us the entire ride. When he stopped to let us off he did not open the door right away. We had to stand there. His conduct was so unprofessional and out of control that I stayed at the hotel for fear I would be stuck with him again. It was absolutely horrible.
Beautiful and Rick took really good care of me.
Great pricing, quaint location, casual hotel staff, sprawling property, featuring multiple two and three story buildings, offering large rooms with open beam ceilings, semi private balconys and beautiful views of the beautiful golf course,
Fantastic course, NFL Alumni Tournament today, great dinner following. All of the staff on the course, in the pro shop and at the dinner are very attentive and helpful.
Beautiful Destination!!!I have had nothing but great experiences at this place.Friendly staff great food pleasant atmosphere. This is where the love of my life and I connected.Stayed the weekend enjoying the pool and spa after that weekend I knew we were meant to be.Playing golf and getting room service.Play Frisbee golf walking and talking in the oak trees. They also have a free shuttle to the casino.
Teenage employees were harassing me the whole time, first time golfer and there was dead rabbits everywhere! Not up to par!
Played disc golf. The staff were friendly and helpful. Course is shady and very nice!
The grounds are stunning. The cafe has EXCELLENT food. The friendly staff... I cant say enough good things about them. And the price of lunch ... surprisingly low!
Very nice I am not balling out of control but I do like nice things this is a really nice resort and I am literally right on the golf course
