This aquatic park is fantastic And its great for little kids and there are a lot of little areas for kids to get wet and run around the only downside is and which is why I give it 4 stars is that the entire area it is still cement and if a child falls they can still very well hurt themselves I wish it was more of a softer ground but Im sure that is difficult being that its consistent water. My girls definitely love it its nice that there is a park next door and there are plenty of areas for kids to do outdoor activities and the best part about this aquatic center is that it is free!!

Weve been having our daughters birthday party here for 3 years now. Its fantastic! The water area is enclosed so you dont have to worry about the kids wandering off. Its nice and cool on brutal Florida days and the entire place is always nice and clean. I would highly recommend this park for your party needs

We came during the Christmas in July event. Theres a nice big pool that goes from 4.5ft to 12ft. There is also a little kids pool. Most tables dont have an umbrella but if you ask a lifeguard they will get one for you. The day we were here there were at least 5 lifeguards. Had a nice changing room area. Cheap price for coming for the day.

Great play area for the kiddos pool with diving board and kiddy pool for the youngsters. Spray park and shelter rentals for parties as well as a playground with tennis courts. To top it off there is a snow one truck for a sweet treat after being in the sun.

Awesome free splash pad. Please note u need reservations 1hr time slots due to covid. U might be able to drop in if there’s no-shows.

This is a real nice rec center and Park... It has a large pool a spray park for the kids baseball and softball fields a big open field for events basketball hoops... Its just a great place for the young and old to enjoy themselves

Highlander Park is an expansive natural, green space, with pond, trails, Dunedin Community Ctr, Fine Arts Ctr, Aquatic Pool, baseball & soccer fields, borders Hammock Park

Amazing water park for kids. Always a blast. Umbrella shaded benches for parents. Picnic tables and shelters to use for parties. Playground at the park too right behind water park. Bathrooms and plenty of parking.

Nice isolated park very local. The two slides were down for manctince but once up looks fun. Nice way to beat the summer heat.

Enjoyed the day I spent there. Everything is well taken care of and clean. Even the bathrooms are well maintained. If youre looking for something to do on a weekend, check this area out. Check their website or Facebook to see things going on. More to do than the picture shows.................. Do expect a crowd though so go early.

Great place for the kids to swim. Diving board and all.

I come here to play tennis, 8 courts with lights until 10 p.m. they also have a kids waterpark section and occasionally host events. Little league is always a thing here with 4 fields and the atmosphere is great on top of being right next to an art gallery. Only downside Ive had is one set of courts dont have lights and have stayed that way for a few months from the time of this post and the water fountains need to be updated... I always bring my own water because the fountain water tastes like dirt.

Thank you Dunedin for offering such an incredible place to cool off on those hot days. Ive only been to kids splash park and playground but its all my toddler needs. Can get a bit overcrowded on weekends but its big enough for kiddos to run around and exert some energy. Only negative is it could use more seating and shade for adults while kids are playing.

This is a great little spray park tucked away in Dunedin. The kids always have a blast. The City of Dunedin runs the park and the park area and the bathrooms have both been very clean every time I have visited. There are some picnic tables and a couple of pavilions around the park if you want to bring lunch. The pavilions can be rented out for events and are not always available.P.S.- If you rent a pavilion make sure you print your receipt and bring it with you the day of your event. I have seen instances where people have claimed they have rented the pavilion when they havent and if you have your receipt with you the city attendant can clear it up fairly easily and quickly.

I thought it was really cool until i found out that you pay the $8 a person, and can only stay for a 2 hour time slot. Since its a community center (and were not a member) i was totally cool with paying to get in, but i thought we would be able to stay all day. Kind of a drag, but it was still nice. The kids liked the water slides.

Hours are way too drastic during covid! Called and no one answered drove there to find out they closed at 1pm

Love taking the kids here. Separate pool for little ones and a nice park. Its great that they have the kiwanis Sprayground there too. Plan on getting my grandson swimming lessons next summer. Their prices are quite reasonable.

Great for small kids

Tonight was the 4th one day early!! We are from out of town and wanted everyone to know what a great Parks and rec Dept. You all did a great job. Food vendors also rocked it. Band got lots of people dancing! Good job

Awesome time always! Free water park for the kids and parents(big kids) nice bathrooms, ball fields and even a pavilion for rent. Kona ice I usually there to serve their special shaved ice and ice cream sandwiches. They do cost but its nice to have some vending there.

Place is really small when you get there and everyone parks bags on the only benches there so there is nowhere to sit while your son/daughter go running around the small water park. Also the one slide every kid wants to go on is nuts because its small enough to be safe but kids trample over other kids in disregard and ends up teaching bad manners. Will not go again.

I took my 10 month old grandbaby and 5 year old sister over the weekend to highlander park for the first time we had so much fun the kids pool area is perfect for little ones and the splash pad is amazing the larger pool is separate from the kiddie area and I really liked that and having lifeguards is a huge plus I would definitely recommend highlander park to anyone at any age something to do for everyone the park was very clean and staff is friendly the price is wonderful only 3$ a person and no charge for babies

Dunedin has the best parks and facilities. I dont know why more people dont take advantage of this complex...of course...now its getting cold.

Great free place for kids to play in the water. My one year old loves it, but the 7 year old gets bored. Id probably say a cut off of about 5 years old otherwise go to the pool ($3 admission)

All day swimming for just $3 a head?! Two pools, a splash park, playground, picnic tables, grills, volleyball nets w/beachsand courts, shelters & a big grass field...plus a ice cream and refreshments hut in the parking lot. I always have fun here, for all ages!

Had so much fun at the peewee baseball - great venue for all kinds of outdoor activities!

Its only 3 dollars, super clean and nice facility. Has wheel chair ramp into pool which I thought was super nice, I have never seen that before. Friendly staff and lots of life guards. They have a kiddie pool and kids floats to use aswell.

Dunedin Celtic music festival is to die for have to go so many cool bands and they are family friendly go go go

When the heat starts to beat you down and the kids are antsy.....you owe it to yourself and them to bring them here. Its fun, restful but best of all its FREE. Dunedin did theirselves proud with this beautiful park. Canopy tables can be rented for parties.

Great splash park with lots of shade and a playground next to it. Picnic area with covered pavillions. They also have very large and surprisingly clean bathrooms. There is also a koana shaved ice truck right there also which is nice to cool off with. Otherwise bring your own snacks and drinks bc there arent any vending machines

This is an excellent venue for the entire family. The complex has air conditioned private restrooms, and lockers. Multiple covered seating areas to get out of the sun. A well stocked concession area. They have free flotation devices to keep your tots afloat. Very tall water slides, wading areas and an elaborate splash pad for parents and children to enjoy together, and theres an adult pool.

Very clean. Most employees was pleasent. There seems to always be a drill seargent in the group of lifeguards . rain and lightning cut our trip short but they did give us a raincheck for another day . looking forward to returning to swim another day

Took swimming lessons 2 yrs in a row, they do a wonderful job! (Every Child a Swimmer program!) We live one block from here and wish they offered a membership for local residents...paying everyone we want to swim is kind of a bummer! But we enjoy and love the toddler pool!

This 2018 Highland Games was my first visit to the site and to Dunedin itself, but will not be the last. While it was occasionally awkward going for my wheelchair bound friend, as much of the venue is on grass, we managed to get around, theres handicap accessible toilet facilities, and the sidewalks extend the length of the venue. As for the events, vendors and food it was all good. Plenty to see, listen to and enjoy and we stayed almost the entire day.

The park itself is nice but the three times Ive been have been identical nightmares. Its chaos. There are a lot of older kids, too big for the splash ground running around, pushing and shoving each other while parents of younger children try strategically to dodge them. Then there are the adults as well- in suits going down the little slide made for children. Today I saw an adult couple, in the middle of the splash area, leaned up against the purple water beam... kissing- the woman pressing up close to the mans manly parts. In front of everyone.... then there were the shameless smokers. The worst of it is the aggressive children with no adult supervision. I just dont feel its a safe place. The city of Dunedin should have parks and recs people there watching and mitigating the chaos but Ive never seen an employee there. In a word: ratchet.

Its summer in Florida, of course we love it.

My children love this place. Its been remodeled and is so fun and relaxing. Water park is gated too which makes it feel even better knowing your kids can run around and play :-)
