Glad I got to see this historic treasure. Had been interested since reading Arc of Justice.
It was a wonderful celebration of Dr. Ossian Sweet. Two of our students received scholarship money for 1st place essays!!
Right now, it is just the house and a historical sign you can look at from the sidewalk, but this is going to be growing into a lot more in the years to come. I am excited. Dr. Sweets story is an important part of Detroits history, particularly with regard to housing segregation and civil rights.
Detroit Black / African American history at it finest.
I love viewing this house and I read the sign every time..to always remember n keep knowledge
A part of history you wouldnt ordinarily know about. A enlightened place to learn more of the historical part of a local neighborhood area.
This historic home and surrounding community have received funding to renovate, preserve and create a community center.
Redundant and irrelevant compared to lots of other historical buildings, but a black guy owned it, so it gets a sign.
A piece of Detroits history.
