Great place for big and small dogs because they are separated. My little dog loves going to socialize with other dogs and people. It is fun to be outside and watch the dogs play. Great stress buster after work. Your dog will love it.
Its a nice park but doesnt have convenient waste disposal station or good place to get community water.
Great place for dogs to run around
Small dog park and all dog area that is really big for all dogs to run arround and let energy out
Ewing was relatively clean and has an interesting slope design to it, so your pup will wear out faster due to running uphill consistently. The back half of the yard is flatland, so easy for people to walk around on. The only takeaway from here is theres no bins to dispose of waste bags inside the fencing. Just one way out in the parking lot upon entry.
Nice place to take your dog. Well kept, nice dog owners attend, never had an incident. Worth every penny of the dog pass.
We love the big open park that is available for our dogs to run and socialize. There is such a great group of people and dogs that are there. Poop bags are available. Water and bowls for drinks!!!
Clean, water and a small pool. Responsible pet owners need to disguard of pet waste. Lovely dog park. One side for little dogs and one for bigger dogs. Great dog park
Smaller dog park.. not well maintained.. but conveniently located in a non scenic area in the middle of town
Best dog park I’ve ever seen —— my veterinarian daughter from DC was most impressed! Trees, grass, well-maintained, & best of all, a separate fenced area for little dogs! What’s not to like?
Its a very nice dog park. For some reason there are no trash cans to put the dog poop bags, so everyone is just bagging poop and stashing bags next to the trees. I dont mind the concept of having to pay a yearly fee to get to use this... but why is it only people who live in Des Moines are welcome to pay for this right?
Ewing Dog Park is massive, well groomed (no pun intended), fenced and safe, clean, and comes with a decent size parking lot. The Dogs all need tags and the place is never crazy busy. Thinking about going somewhere else? Pug-get about it!
Large dog park with 2 separate areas. There is one designated section for small dogs and one for large or small dogs. There is a flush toilet available if needed. The city does a good job of maintaing the area. You just have to watch out for doggie bombs, since there are a lot of people that do not pick up after there pets. There is plenty of parking. You also need a code access the park. The code is given to you once you buy your dog park pass from the city.
Lost of room for our dogs to run and play. Tons of shade. Secure place and water throughout park. Small dog side also.
You need a city permit for gate entry which you wouldnt know unless you lived here so we drove all this way for nothing. At least five other families drove here and left dissapointed at the same time as us. Park was otherwise totally empty. How sad for the park and the dogs. Bureaucracy at its best.
Good place to take your dogs to play lots of room for them to run
Get your membership from the city and enjoy this park and others with your dog. During winter and when wet the entrance is very slick so be careful!
Its huge, clean, have 2 separate sides: 1 for smaller dogs. People are very nice.
I dont remember going here...and wish I had a dog. I do enjoy this park though.
I dont remember my dog bringing me here.
I have been to other dog parks. The Southside dog park is the ultimate.Other pet owners treat your dog (s )with consideration and tolerance.
I go to the Ewing dog park.the area for large dogs has 8 acres to run.they love socializing with other dogs.they love to run free.i get exercise too walking.the dog pass thru the city is well worth the 20 dollars each year.
5 stars, first date ended here. It was baller.
Dogs have plenty of room to run
What a dog park should be! Friendly people and dogs. Looked after.
The park is in great shape, always clean & well maintained. My dog & our whole family enjoy going there.
Great park and friendly fellow dog owners
Love the small dog area of the park. Maggie looks forward to her daily visit.Very large, well kept, shaded areas.
Great place for my dog
Nice, clean park with very friendly regulars :)
The dogs ran their butts off the cats are didnt care for it and I was cold but they were all happy it all evens out in the long run
Really nice. Separate areas for small dogs
Beautiful environment. Friendly crowd and kept park
Large and well maintained
Its a dog park...most people are friendly and your dogs can run and play freely
My dogs love the park gives them a chance to run
Love the open space but hate how it isn’t supervised. We’ve had problems with aggressive dogs when visiting at evening hours and once found a dog left there and couldn’t get ahold of anyone and had to drive it to ARL in Ankeny.
Nice place to take your dog
Very beautiful place and peaceful
Like the shaded park, devided for big and small dogs
Very nice dog park.....only suggestion would be watering fountains for the dogs insyead of individual bowls scattered around that must be filled.
Big park for dogs to run and play. Need dog pass from City Of Des Moines to use this park.
Lots of room to run
Requires you to purchase a permit to use this park.
Safe, clean, and wonderful furry friends!
The puppies love the park.
