Cole Park is a large sprawling park in Uptown, near the 75 and Haskell. It offers lots of amenities but no grills and few picnic tables. I saw a lot of dogs and thats a good thing because they were happy and that made me happy! No unfriendly dogs or poop to be seen and smelled.Perhaps the best asset of the park is the many tall, graceful trees providing welcome shade and greenery. One particularly big/old one is near the kiddy playground. Must be a good 5 in diameter. Im wondering if its been here since the park opened in 1922.There is a small parking lot on the northeast corner, off of McKinney. Even so I imagine parking gets difficult on weekends and holidays. Theres a DART station a short walk away. This is one of the few neighborhood parks worth traveling to visit.
Beautiful park. Awesome community, lots of sports/exercise groups to join!
Enjoyed this park just sat and ppl watched walked around for a bit. Nice park, clean.
Great park to walk around. Has around 8 tennis courts and there always seems to be activities going on in the park. Take my dog here a few times per week.
This is such a beautiful park. It is also large enough to bring your dog, have a picnic, etc without being near others (social distancing). I walk there daily and its just such a beautiful place. A great vibe!
Fun time out here with my daughter and grandson. Very nice that it has many trees out here as well to stay out of that heat.
**Apparently theres an established line at the park if youre a first time goer make sure you wait on the right side of the fence**My friend and I came here for our first time playing tennis in a while and having never played on the court. When we arrived the last court had just filled up so we waited against the center wall. After an hour and twenty minutes of waiting we went over to a court that was opening only to have someone walk over before us and tell us we had waited in the wrong spot. Apparently the back fence near the parking lot is the official waiting area for the courts. We argued for a while when two nice ladies who had seen us waiting said they were leaving and we can just take their court. We started playing when a couple came over and told us we didnt wait our turn, we explained we had been waiting and being our first time we didnt know there was an official waiting area. We had arrived when the foursome next to us had begun playing and they verified that we had waited as well. The couple accepted this and went to go back into line when the line that had formed AFTER we arrived told them they should play. After having six other people come over and tell us we didnt use our common sense by waiting in the obvious line (which was not there when we arrived) we were forced off the courts by people yelling at us and refusing to leave the middle of the court until we left. There were no signs stating an official line and it seems to be some rule that is unwritten its an odd coincidence that no one told us that until a separate line from ours had formed and it was our turn to use a court. If it is your first time there youd better automatically know these rules or be yelled off the courts. To say my experience was one star is far higher than it should be. The city needs to place signs on entrances stating where this next up line is or people need to be more curious to each other.
Plenty space tennis court s benches plenty trees nice relaxing parking is good
Plenty of space. Great for dogs, families, young people and everyone!
I went here to use the tennis courts. There are 8 well kept courts here that are free to use. There are lights, but I played during the day so I cant say if they work or not. The courts appear to be very popular so you may have to wait on a court.
Nice park. A lot of space.
Fun park with tennis courts, a playground, and walking path
A great park for family time or exercise
Very nice peaceful roomy park... Enough space for a quiet snug lil picnic
Good size and location but landscaping leaves something to be desired due to muddy paths and dead grass
Bro, I love this place great place to study
Great place to play tennis
To many gym people .should do it in their own Gym
This is a really nice park. Great for walking, relaxing, or doing anything really. It can be busy, but that is the charm of a park. It has tennis courts and a playground. Good mix of shade and sun, too.
The park and high school make it ideal for jogging. Breaking in my new pair of Cloudswifts
Cole Park is always good. But I think they need a couple more basketball courts, including one for small children, maybe with a fence around it so the ball cant escape and roll into the street. Had a couple of close calls with my grandsons today.
Cool place I go there either before or after work to meditate or, unwind. Cole Park is a nice community park. There you will find a lot of folks walking their dogs others jogging. And others just lounging around with their dogs and kids. Love this place right before the sun rises
Despite the Texas mugginess which tends to draw the chiggers and flying pests out to wanna play, walk, or jog with ya it is a good place for light exercise along the meadowy paved walkway. Wouldnt recommend it to be an ideal place for picnicking. Outside of this you can count on a comfortable number of neighborhood residents and frequents to offer a warm and welcoming greeting to your day.
Good open place for cg.
Clean Beautiful park. Perfect for walking dogs and having picnics
Great place to play tennis. Get there early on Saturday mornings; courts fill up fast. Right off the Katy Trail so convenient to bike to.
Could use a makeover. Maybe, rid the dirt and grass for sand and water. Cut down the trees and replace them with palms. Add some overhead sun covers to block the direct sunlight. Prohibit people from walking their dogs there.
Lots of dogs running around. Has basketball court and large open grass area to play whatever you want
Nice public tennis courts
Great park to hang out at on a nice day.
One of the best parks you can go to. Its centrally located within the uptown area and very easy to walk to. Its a great place to take your dogs, kids, or date to experience Dallas. One of a kind place that serves as the local watering hole.
Nice park. Plenty of land to run and play games/sports on. No restrooms on site though.
Good place to go and do athletic activities dont like the idea that some people are starting to use it as a dog park recently theres been dog poop all over the Park pretty sad cant let my kids run around without worrying about them getting poop all over their shoes. But other than that its a pretty good part me and my husband meet there sometimes for lunch wish that they will add on a parking lot to this Park I dont seem pretty fund to parking on the side where theres fast traffic passing by on both sides of the park
Pretty, quiet, swing sets and playground on site. Working water fountains. Tennis courts are in really good shape.
Nice little park
Good park to bring a dog and kids to the playground. Pretty well lit. Not too bad on dog poop not being cleaned up. We are here quite a bit
Beautiful Park great place to walk dog go for a jog
Its a nice and very well kept park, but it is very small
Clean. Spacious. Place for kids to play. Working water fountains and pooch clean up spots.
Just ok,not my choice of place to go!
Cozy little park with picnic areas, playground, tennis courts and walking path
J. Cole.... Its a Cole world out there
Fabulous Park! The nearly one-year-old set absolutely loved it as well as the adults :-)
Cute little park to stroll through with your dog
Great neighborhood park, dogs, tennis, plenty of workout groups to join!!!
Its a park, sometimes dogs do their business there and its nasty. But as long as the owners do their jobs and clean it then were all right.
Nice clean quiet park not too crowded
This place it ok, but dont have enough parking.
It is a great place for dogs but the grass it is really hard and dry to hang out with children.
Great public courts
Nice park, pavilion and playground.
Nice place to spend an afternoon, clean and well taken care of.
Plenty of tennis courts and a basketball hoop. Also area to walk. Tennis courts tend to be busy
Nice park to take a stroll or run your dog.
This park is nice, can sometimes have a few creepy people lurking around but what city park doesnt?
I come here regularly for tennis, and its a good place for that. The courts arent pristine or beautiful but I havent had an issue with them yet. There are also floodlights to play when its dark.
Its a nice park its very clam safe place to be lots of things you can do.
Enjoyed the relaxation
Great local park with tennis courts, lots of open space and a playground for the kids.
Nice respite in the middle of the hustle and bustle of a city.
Easy to park, lots of activity! Great neighborhood
Very well kept. Beautiful trees
Beautiful well kept green oasis in the middle of Dallas. A great place to get a little bit of nature.
Nice Park. Playground, had a large gazebo, plenty of walking sidewalk area. Benches for taking a break. Love the tennis courts. I just wish the water fountains were on!! It says theyre off December - March. But its got enough today, mid-March, that I was really disappointed. And so was the pup!
Alot of spoil and rich snow bunnies white woman come hear alot to enjoy the Latino heat :) once you go white your future is bright viva la raza mexicans 100 percent
Nice Park Quiet Shady
Nice area pretty cool park
Very clean and well lit park. There are a decent amount of tennis courts with a backwall to play against. There is also a decent amount of parking that is free. There is also a small portable restroom here too when I last visited.Tennis wise, if you come after 530 on a weekday, chances are youll have to wait. Weekends, it is a hit or miss when you arrive at the courts.
Nice park, need more picnic tables
Took my dog there. Plenty of space to run free. Just a little close to a street for my liking. Has an open field the almost the size of a football field. Very nice except the dirt patches.
Best outdoor courts to me!
Great place to walk your dog.
Great park for tennis, although the wait for a court can be pretty lengthy. This is also my favorite spot to start a run through Uptown and Downtown because its well lit and safe. Theres also two PokeStops here!
Nice and calm
Nice little park with small play area.
Nice dog park
Nice park with lots of features for families and active adults: playground, tennis courts, basketball court, sports field, shade trees and benches, walking/running path, good for dogs, too. Rumor has it there is a storm drain resivour under neath which keeps it cool and green.
Great apartment complex
Nice place to relax pet friendly and child friendly
Clean and well kept, great well lit tennis courts (8) with concrete wall for single player practice. Are there restroom facilities that I cant find?
Ive always enjoyed this place!!
My kids liked
Nice tennis courts.
Great neighbor park. Safe and family friendly.
