My friend and I attended a performance of Alabaster, thanks to the CulturePass program with the city of Dallas. The location of this theater is surprising (medical district just north of Oak Cliff), and the venue is humble and straightforward. There are concessions available and donations accepted. Despite the time of day (matinee showing), the performance was nearly sold out. I was overwhelmed with the moving performance and other members of the audience were also moved to tears. I was especially moved by the performance of Kristi Funk Dana as June. I wasnt expecting such a heavy and pensive play on a sunny Sunday afternoon but I am so glad I went. I am really grateful for the City Culture Pass program for putting this amazing theatre on my radar, and for Kitchen Dog Theatre for sharing such a great play. I am really looking forward to supporting future performances!

Real art exists on edge. It reminds us where we are. Kitchen Dog is a subscription I never let laps. In our polished media world, KD pokes and prods demanding you think and form an opinion. And often on matters you wouldnt think to approach. From play selection through after-play thoughts, KD is my opportunity to come off lifes auto-pilot and remember my in-and-out breath. It reminds that Im responsible for what I think as well as my actions. Always stimulating; always worthy - this is Theater.

Saw the play Pompeii tonight which was written in house. One of the best plays/ productions that I have ever seen. The actors were fantastic, the plot captivating, the jokes witty, and the music catchy. I have never seen my husband belly laugh so many times in my life. It is astonishing that the play was written by those at kitchen dog theater. If I hadnt known otherwise, I would have believed it was a famous play. I was entirely enthralled the entire production. If you are considering coming here, please venture out; it will be worth it.

Saw Pompeii, a Kitchen Dog Theater original. I was entertained the entire time. Extremely talented ensemble, terrific music, hilarious acting. Ive never wanted to immediately see another showing of a production until today. The theater is intimate but the performance feels larger than you might expect.

We went to the worst play ive ever had the displeasure of experiencing. It was horrendous. All of it. The acting. The set. The script. It was an absolute travesty. If you like paying for uncomfortable silence this is the place for you. Waste of money and time.

Nice venue to watch live theatrical performance. Seating is comfortable with decent leg room. The theater is arranged with seating on three sides of the stages area. This makes for a enjoyable experience. Only thing lacking is a good bar in the lobby.

Weve been season subscribers for the past 9 years and have enjoyed all of their productions. KDT is one of the best small theater companies in Dallas, perhaps all of Texas. Consistently high quality, with many new or original plays. I recommend them highly.

Kitchen Dog is one of our favorite local theater groups. We check out what shows they are putting out each season and check our piggy banks to see if we can afford the season tickets. This is our 4th season we got tickeys to the whole season and as always the shops are well acted and entertaining.

Fantastic small studio theatre. Saw my second production there and was again truly impressed. Strong acting, serious, thought-provoking theatre, but also highly entertaining.
