I saw my first opera, and my cousin Robby was in it!What a magical place! I had an incredible time, and never wanted it to end!I was given a backstage tour and met some really wonderful people who took the time to smile and welcome me and talk!My cousin describes it as a whole family, one that cares deeply for each other and the gift theyre sharing with the audience!Theres a lady usher who helped me find my seat, as I am visually impaired. What .a sweet soul with a positive energy and attitude, and an infectious smile! I really like her, especially as she remembered me to my cousin and asked after me.And, the opera house itself is so beautiful! The chandeliers add to the ethereal elegance of the theatre! The orchestra painted the emotions of the story over the backdrop, drawing me in, and then those voices! The singers so eloquently expressed layer upon layer, character after character, protagonist and antagonist!Thank you for making that whole evening a special event that I will cherish always!

Gorgeous venue for the many acts that make their way through! We’ve been for a few shows over the years, and not once have we left with anything other than glowing smiles and feeling wholly satisfied with the experience— start to finish. The acoustics are phenomenal; the seating is amazing; the accommodations are second-to-none. Will definitely return for the right performance, and would absolutely recommend for anyone and everyone!

Ive been to two shows here, each time the employees were extremely helpful and courteous. Good seating options, although Ive only had box seats so take with a grain of salt. I do with the chairs were a little more plush however. The acoustics are very good, easy to hear everything on stage. They have a cool chandelier that recesses to the ceiling before the shows start.Very easy to get in and out of the parking garage, they have it pretty organized. Once parked, very quick escalator ride almost to the front door.

This opera house is so truly beautiful. The tickets aren’t that expensive and neither are their season tickets. I heavily suggest you take the time to invest in the theater arts and stop by the Winspear. The stage door is to the right side of the building. You’ll see a car on display and a staircase leading to the back of the building. Climb the stairs and then descend. You’ll see a door and that’s the stage door. Sometimes cast members come out - sometimes they don’t. It’s still a handy thing to know.

One can go to a show have a great time and never go out side oops I did go down an escalator to the underground garage. There were also elevators. The staff is great. We had several special requests which were filled seamlessly. This is another gem in Dallas’ crown.

This was my first time at the theater. If your going to go there for an event. Go early enough to NOT have to walk in after the show has started. Have some respect for others. It is a nice theater but only paid public parking of anywhere from $10-25 so plan for that also. You are Go in to have to walk a block or a few blocks depending where you park. Not lots of food choices in the theater with snacks lime candy is $6 and a small coffee from a dispenser at $3

We saw the Color Purple here a week ago and wow! So gorgeous inside and out and all around. I was worried about our seating being too far up and away( chose the cheapest seats) and well...the view turned out to be PERFECT!! We were in the Grand Tier,center...that design piece you see in the picture,it projects from the ceiling and we were nearly eye level to it. Beautiful. The staff was super nice. Just an overall unforgettable experience.

This is a beautiful venue! The views through the entire glass front are stunning. The opera production was top rate and sound quality was great. Be aware there are lots of steps and few elevators. The cheap seats are very high up, steep, uncomfortable and so close together. Its fine if its your only way to see the opera, but I recommend making the investment for better seats. It also didnt feel like there were near enough restrooms. But overall, I highly recommend everyone to go to an opera or other performance here!

This is a beautiful venue and the staff is wonderful. I saw the Carol King musical Beautiful here. Buyer beware, if you are afraid of heights dont purchase tickets higher than the second balcony tier. Its terrifying if you are any higher because there is hardly any gradient to the seating. Its like a sheer drop down which makes the balcony seating closer to the stage but its not worth it if you are acrophobic. I couldnt use my 3rd tier front row seat. The Winspear House staff was so kind and gracious and found an unoccupied seat for me on a lower level.

This beautiful venue is a focal point of the Dallas Arts District. The exterior boasts an interesting water courtyard and breathtaking views of the surrounding Dallas skyline and Klyde Warren Park. Its easy to spend time exploring the surroundings in this walkable urban environment prior to the show. Head inside before the show to enjoy concessions on the first and fourth floor. You can purchase drinks or snacks, including water, coffee, juices, and popcorn. Beverages are permitted inside the house to enjoy during the show. There doesnt seem to be a bad seat in the entire venue! Even the top balconies allow for unobstructed views. The seats are comfortable enough to enjoy a 3.5-hour opera. Everyone is friendly and professional, and the ushers help quickly find your seat. Enjoy the show!

The upper floors are scary. Unless you love heights. The walls arent high enough to keep you from falling. Also parking is ridiculous and expensive. The Magic Flute was a wonderful performance; amazing costumes and props, good acoustics, and of course vocal talent. Really amazing production in a beautiful setting! There were some traffic flow issues getting into Lexus Red parking that could have been more efficient, so I recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early by car if you’re self-parking.We sat on the 5th level “Grand Tier” near the door for easy access to bathrooms, but since you don’t really get up until intermission, I recommend getting seats closer to the center to prevent neck strain and have a better viewing angle. That being said, I have to comment on the comfort of the seats on this level. They’re a tad tight, completely upright, and the armrests do not extend far enough to sufficiently provide support to the forearm. I’m not certain at which level the seats improve, but I would upgrade if you would find these factors frustrating for a 3-hour duration. The last downside was the sad fact that we saw so many empty seats on all levels. I understand opera isn’t a rock concert, but the quality of this production was too good to be missed out on. Would like to see better attendance.

Nice opera house designed by lord Norman Foster. Acoustics and visuals are really good even if your are on the top of the house. The thing I missed was a shop at the opera house and that the staircase seems insufficient to move al the people in the theater. The informative talk before the opera is really interesting and helps you get a context of what you are going to listen.
