We had a blast! From the moment we walked in. The bartender was cool and friendly. He recommended the buffalo chicken sandwich that was on special and it was good. I was expecting some microwaved frozen sandwich but was pleasantly surprised. Everyone was so nice! The staff member that sat us noticed my husband had a cane and sat us right on the front row! The comedy was refreshing, clean and fun! The whole place was clean and set up nicely! We are anxious to go back when the weather warms up so we can enjoy their outdoor patio. I really loved the fact that the night we went, all the ticket sales went towards a local nonprofit! How cool is that!! Thats really giving back to the community!
I went to the free improv show on Wednesday night & got to play along with three different troupes. I really enjoy live comedy & going to support people who are brave & bold enough to get on stage & give it a go! The Dallas Comedy House is a beautiful space with an awesome patio, laid back bar & kitchen, & a great theater. Looking for a spot to have a corporate party, team building exercises, or just maybe take an improv class to help build confidence, or just to meet fun people then keep DCH in mind~Support the arts both locally & worldwide!
What a blast! I went on a Tuesday for open mic night (which was free), and was impressed with the talent of the comedians. Even the less-experienced comics showed a lot of courage on stage! The bar had a great selection of drinks, and at reasonable prices. I also had a salad, which was pretty meh and missing ingredients that were listed on the menu, but I guess I shouldnt expect great food at a comedy club. Id definitely return for shows and drinks, but will just eat ahead of time next time.
I love DCH. Its a fantastic place for great comedy on a budget plus craft beer. What else is there to want out of life?
Such a fun date night spot! I loved the new location for this comedy house. Perfect patio! Service was awesome. The show had me crying, I laughed so hard. I havent tried a class but that is next on my list!
Stuck in Deep Ellum for a rainy night and decided to check out the open mic night... Very relaxed and friendly atmosphere, drinks were strong, and the comedy was great! Loved seeing the wide variety of comics take the stage and shine (or bomb) If you have an opportunity to check it out, I would highly recommend it!
So much fun. What a nice surprise. The atmosphere was that of a little dive bar minus the smoke. Intimate and cozy. You are so close to the stage. Great staff, great comedians. The food and drinks all reasonably priced. We had an amazing time. We saw a set of comedians from their stand up comedy class. They were amazing. Im definitely going to look into classes. Looks fun.
Went here because a friend was performing/narrating the show and wanted to support her. Well, I was not expecting such a great show. The ladies all had me involved in their story telling. 100% would recommend if you want some light drinks and some belly laughs to pass the night away.
Not a bad setup and the entertainment was worth the low cost of admission. The bartender was a bit rude and enforced some really strict ID policy. They must’ve been burned in the past. I couldn’t even buy two separate drinks to bring my wife one back.
Went to the family friendly show on Saturday. My 10 year old and 9 year old daughters loved it. Fun audience participation, and a funny show. Good comedy venue here in dallas. But tickets online.
Variety of shows. New facility has excellent variety of venues including restaurant and patio as well as two theaters and staging rooms. Enjoyed show. Parking can be a challenge.
Was visiting and we went to see and support a friend who had been taking a class. It was a lot of fun and they were all very good. Would recommend it to anyone and when Im back in Dallas will give it a try and see another show.
I went to their free Tuesday event and it was very funny. They allow you to join in and come up on stage and interact with the other patrons and comedian. It was a blast and their food is really good to. The staff are all accommodating and friendly. The venue is fairly new and is very clean. Ill be back to experience a real event sometime soon. In the meantime check this place out I think its one of Dallas great treasures.
I actually am a student here and I LOVE this place! I came to see an improv jam once before I started classes, that was pretty cool and they do encourage audience participation, I also took in a late stand-up show, also pretty cool... Great place to chill, hangout, and everyone is super supportive and friendly.
Best time hands down! Laughed so much. Friendly staff. Good food and drinks
The place was great the drinks are little costly but the bartender was very nice and friendly and the groups that did their improv were great I loved it. The only thing I did not like was when they started to make fun of the suffering that Jesus went through. But one of them stopped it by changing the scene, other than that like I said it was great.
Wonderful for corporate training. Hilarious for family comedy. Thrilling as an educational opportunity. Why arent more businesses like this?
An extremely high class comedy club with tons of shows at a variety of times across all price points. They also offer classes to hone your humorous bone as well as connect with other up and coming comedians. Lots of free shows as well as many family friendly events. Be sure to put this place on your must see list of fun things to do in Dallas.
Amazing . Everyone needs a laugh every once in a while
Went to the family friendly G rated show. It was tremendously good. A+++++++++ Our 8 and 11 year olds loved it. Will definitely come back soon.
Staff were very friendly! Food was very good!!! Drinks amazing ! Show was very good love the fact that they was engaging with the audience! I laughed so hard my cheeks were sore by the end of the show!!! Very worth going! Will be attending again!!!!
Amazing!! DCH offers classes and shows constantly. Full bar with food as well. We have a great time every time we go.
Drinks were delicious. Food surprisingly good. Comedy was totally funny. I will be back.
Went to the Saturday night improv and saw the big short and the cult. Both were super funny. Honestly way more funny than I thought it would be. The bar food was good and my wife enjoyed the drinks. The staff was very friendly too. Will definitely be coming back!
At all times there are a host of comedic events that inhabit this establishment. Improv, stand-up, classes, anything a young comedian, or fan of comedy could hope for. Not only is this comedic hub and the home of some true up-and-coming talents, its also a wonderful hang out spot. The patio is comfortable and spacious. Not to mention, its the only bar you can chill out in a rocking chair.
Shows by the hour; $20 pp per show. Table service in the show but bar area outside the theaters. Slow start but great ending, whew! Happy Hour drink specials with cheap drink prices, clean, cool atmosphere at the bar. Actors could have used microphone headsets, some of the sketch content was lost without it. Overall good time for a Saturday night
Amazing place for a company party. Very interactive, funny & great food/ cocktails.
The people were nice, but the food was mediocre, and it took so long to get out. The show itself was okay, not really funny, and they seemed to hit on alot of awkward topics, that even the actors themselves seemed unsure what to do at points. I hoped for a better experience, but maybe I just hit them on a bad night.
My husband and I really enjoyed the improv show last night for our valentines date night! The drinks were great and the troupes were hilarious. I still give 5 stars, but I did want to mention that the guy in the box office last night was pretty rude to us. We had never been to DCH before and we walked up to the window and said hi and showed our tickets on my phone and he said “yeah, what?” in an annoyed, rude tone. Kind of put us in a bad mood the first part of the evening, but we had fun once the show started. All of the other staff were extremely nice and helpful. Will be back for sure!
Great and affordable food, drinks, and entertainment. Would highly recommend to anyone!
This is such a cool place and we had an incredible time with friends. If you have never been here or to attend like comedy in general, you really should!!
This is such a cool place to enjoy theatre. They have a full bar and kitchen with an outdoor patio. The performances were top notch and never ceased to amaze me. The show is very intimate with the audience so it seems like they are specializing it just for you. I cant wait to come back and see more improv! Even if you dont have any interest in theatre, this is a great place to check out. This made for an amazing date-night and wasnt expensive at all!
My husband I were trying to find a place to burn time before our plane flight. This place has such a great atmosphere and the improv show was hilarious.
We went on a friday night expecting the place to packed, yet it wasnt. The first group we saw we couldnt get into their improv. To my husband and I it felt like they were only up there to hang out with their friends and we were the only 2 people in there that werent friends with the improv group. Dont get me wrong, friends supporting is awesome, but to only have friends there? Also, the second group we saw they were hilarious! They did an amazing job. The chicken tenders were so yummy and there cheese sticks were lightly breaded. After the show, we went to hang out at the bar and it was only college kids hanging out with the first improv group we saw and then that was it. We felt out of place and like it was just for college kids. But the second group and food were great!
Went to see a show which was great. Just didnt like that they showed me to a chair instead of a table. I cant eat in my lap.
Maybe they’ll reopen like Dangerfields in NYC
I had not been to a comedy club in years. Friendly staff and great bartenders put you in the right frame of mind before heading into the theater. I know that most of the experience is based on who is performing. We saw a group of comedians that kept us laughing from beginning to end and I was sad when the show was over.
Love this place! Took a family member who was visiting Dallas and he had fun. Drinks & comedy. Perfect combination!
The third location is definitely the charm. The space is well thought out and well executed. Good job guys!!
We had a blast and drinks are reasonably priced.
What a fun place to catch some live comedy! Excellent patio and full bar for after show too!!
The actual comedy was sub par at best. Drinks were watered down, and food was far below par. Wife and I will surely not be going back.
Great place for some improve on Monday nights! They even have a bar! Definitely recommend this place.
Went for an improv show on Sunday afternoon. Of course the show was great. The new place is amazing and I love the huge patio.
Loved it. Will definitely be back.
Loved it atmosphere very welcoming friendly and relaxing.
This is my favorite place period.
Nice setup. The talent was on point, prices are reasonable. Will go again for sure.
Always a good time with lots of laughs!
The drinks are a bit pricey.. And folding chairs arent the best but it was pretty cool by the time we left. Its in a great spot. When we left we ended up walking for a few blocks kinda bar hopping and checking out all the places were coming back to visit.
The show was great. The drinks were strong. And while this has nothing to do with the location, the company was fantastic! Ill be coming back for sure, maybe even for a comedy class.
Hannah HAS THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE
Beautiful new building. Great shows. Funny people. Loaded fries are to die for.
Great new venue with cool patio off the bar. Fun night, good food and drink prices.
Great group of comics and the prices where reasonable!
Great space, good comedy. A local treasure.
Great ambiance and great laughs, really enjoy my time here every visit
I was crying tears had a good time
Went to the Saturday show of Improv Horror Movie. It was so much fun. A great group of actors, very creative. This show has become a Halloween tradition for our family, cant wait for next year!
Lots of fun, good food, drinks and laughs.
Such a great place! I have taken classes there and love going to shows. Weekends are prime time to catch the best of the best and overall a very fun night
A fun little place just a couple blocks down the road from the busy Deep Ellum bars and restaurants. We saw Sleep Deprived and thought it was great. None of us had ever been to an improv show before so we didnt really know what to expect, but it was a fun night out.
Good showcase of students from their classes. But google’s address is wrong, the building is being renovated.
Family friendly show was great. We will be back again. This is designed for the kids to interact with the show. You can buy food and drink there. Prices are reasonable.
Greatest place in Dallas for live comedy. Amazing, well-executed kitchen menu. They teach classes, too. Some the funniest things Ive ever seen live have been on their stages, and the Dallas Comedy Festival has some of the greatest comedy programming in Texas.
We were expecting more out of this place. It was the first time going there and thought it would be fun to try. New places are always worth a try but probably wont go back. Didnt hit the funny bone.
Didnt have Cognac only Whiskey and Scotch, I suppose Cognac and Brandy drinkers are not of importance.
I am sure the later shows are much better, but the early show I attended had trouble with even the most basic improv conventions. They asked for a word (they got enchilada) but never even used it!! Both groups seemed lost. There were individual standouts, but as groups, work is needed. Good atmosphere and drinks though!!
Had lots of fun. Will be going back this weekend!
Great breakfast and fantastic service.
Strong drinks
Great to have have it back! Cant wait to see what they will do now!
First time to a comedy club and loved it and loved the experience. No filter.
I was pleasantly surprised. The people were very friendly and welcoming. We went on the last Wednesday of the month...I think it was Wednesday. Anyway, the last one of the month is free. There were about 3/4 improvs and 3 stand up. My favorite was the stand up. They have a reasonably priced menu and I dont drink but the drinks were priced fairly. Had a great time.
It’s a nice place. Improv can be hit or miss. Good drinks and decent food.
This was me and my husbands first time, he tried to get tickets for the comedy show but they were sold out so we got tickets for the improv. I ordered one of the specialty drinks but it was in a small glass for it being $8 and it was really just pineapple juice and no alcohol. My husband ordered a soda which came in a red solo cup for $3 and disappointingly it was super flat (he reordered a refill and that was the same). Thankfully the actual show was pretty good. It was two different groups that acted and both were really funny. This was our first improv show and we will at least come back to enjoy the shows and try to catch a comedy one.
The comedy was funny. They include the audience (they arent pushy towards the shy people). The actors have some clever humor.
I had a great time at this place. One of us is Carol was great! Recommended.
Dallas Comedy House is an inviting and fun place. They have funny and interesting comedy shows weekly. Parking can be a bit of a bear in Deep Ellum so be sure you get down to your show a bit ahead of time. They have a full service bar and a food menu. Most of the shows are an hour in length. If you are looking for classes in comedy, DCH has a variety of them. I took Improv and graduated last year. Now Im in troupes and have fun performing on stage. Im also growing my comedy chops by taking their sketch classes.
Support local! We had a surprisingly great time watching the improv teams...the bar has modern beer options and good snacks. Its funny. Go. Drink laugh support local.
Great cast, fun comedy; takes place in the building previously used by Club One.
Went to see a friend perform. Venue was cool. It was a bit tight as far as seating. I was disappointed that the tickets and barcodes I was sent werent even used. They asked what was the name on the credit card when actually they needed the name on the account I created.I also never got a waitress to come around and then found out we were supposed to fill out a paper to request service. Maybe tell us that as we go in...
I really love the drink: The Monica
DCH is great. The 90s show was side splitting funny. I have seen several shows there and it never disappoints. They have family friendly shows for the kids, snacks and a bar. Love this place.
The comedy wasnt the best. However, one guy Laron was so funny the whole theatre was laughing so hard our faces hurt at the end. Its a cool place and good drinks. Only one comedian really caught the attention though.
Wonderful as always ️
Great place for open mic nights. The comics are generally clean, never overly offensive. Inside the club is nicely laid out and the staff is extremely nice. It is clear that someone who loves comedy and comedians has taken the time to make sure this place has a great vibe.
Keep up the great work! Please don’t close! Thank you so much! Hope for more days long term!
So much fun! I cant wait to go back again.
Nice group of people
Super fun, awesome venue!
