Had a blast, even during the pandemic. It was not too crowded but, we had a great time. The nachos were awesome.
Its an intimate venue. Just the right size & well maintained! We enjoyed the atmosphere & show to the fullest! Can highly recommend this location.
Appreciate the new social distance seating arrangement. The drinks were ok but the Improv nachos (no meat option for me) were really yummy and fulfilling! The Jive Turkey comedians from Houston was hilarious!!!
Just went and saw Jim Breuer and I have not laughed this hard in a while. Go see him! He was great.
I loved the comedian but am very disappointed in the Improv. After purchasing a ticket, I was forced to purchase two drinks even though I did not want them. It is their policy to make you pay for two items even if you pay for a ticket. My receipt came with gratuity added in, even though I was with a party of 3, which I thought was very sketchy but did explain the terrible manners and rudeness of our waiter. I wont be going back to this place, but I will find another venue to watch LeAnn at!
I had an awesome experience here at the Addison Improv. The setting is perfect and bigger than I had imagined. I saw Leo Flowers and Bryan Callen, both great comedians Ive always wanted to see. Definitely will go back!
The comedians were great especially the Headliner, Bruce Bruce. Reasonably priced menu and friendly wait staff. All in all a great afternoon.
It was my first time going to a Comedy show and it was fun. The club was very clean, workers were following the social distancing and face mask requirements. Food was pretty decent and prices were affordable. Overall a great experience, if you want to have a safe and fun time.
The show was absolutely amazing. I’m still waiting for my server to bring my limes and would have appreciated more distance between tables. The food and drinks were great and it was an overall good experience!
Awesome spot with some great shows! Food is pretty good not too expensive either
I would highly NOT recommend this venue. I have been to many others before in the DFW area and never once had a bad experience or felt ripped off. Usually we go to other places and it is free tickets or $10 for upgraded seats which means you sit in the first 1-2 or maybe 3 tables back at most. At other places if you have 4 people and upgraded seats it comes out to $40 + tax ($10 a person) and then you have a 2 drink/food item minimum.Tonight we went there and we paid $160+ a $35 fee for these tickets for 4 people that were upgraded seats and when we got there we were sat 5 tables back. The fact that the electricity went out is no fault of theirs and has no impact on the 1 start rating. The entire block was out so luckily we were were able to leave and we will be getting our money back so we avoided doing business with this place. The only reason we still went after knowing it was $160 for 4 people was because we thought we were getting front row and there was no food/drink minimum since they ripped us off so bad on the tickets. When we got there and were seated 5 rows back and then were told we still had a 2 drink/food minimum. We were so happy when the power went out before the show started because it was such a bad value. If you look at my other reviews I have never gave anyone a bad review like this all of mine are 5 starts with the exceptions of one 3 start. This place is truly a bad value, do not let them rip you off.A
I had a nice time at the Addison Improv the foods was okay the drinks was alright and the comedians they were pretty funny and all I said it was worth the money to go to see this entertainment I would recommend it for other people to see
Awesome venue. Very nice atmosphere and the drinks do not disappoint. Our headliner was Paul Rodriguez, and he was hilarious! Would definitely recommend for all events.
Great customers service! A great time!
I am disabled and the manager and staff were absolutely amazing in accommodating my needs to help me be comfortable. Thank you so much tomall the staff there.
Wish that they would seek out more clean comedians and that they would have some sort of rating system online so you know what you’re getting. We attended a show for a comic we’d never seen before, we bought tickets based off the clip they posted online. It was a “clean family friendly” type show in the clip, but what we got in person was a different story, so that was very misleading. I get that doesn’t bother most people, good for them, I like to know what I’mwalking into.
Had the Best Night!! Laughed until my face hurt! Steve Trevino was great!
Had a great time. Service and food was fast!! Also had the best comedy show!
This was an amazing evening with Paul Rodriguez. I am his #1 fan.this place is fantastic. I will definitely return.
The owners of this venue should be ashamed of themselves of using this pandemic to price gourge their admission fees! $40 for individual to see an amateur comedy show is absolutely ridiculous! They do not allow individual purchase sales & one has to purchase tickets by table which START at $40. After taxes, fees, the two item minimum & tip, one person could come out of their club paying close to $100.... thats INSANE!!!
Very good service, organized. Amazing food and drinks.
Small and cozy, but I wish it was downstairs. Heels and stairs dont match at all.
I had an amazing time, the waitress was amazing and the comedians were HILARIOUS. I really enjoyed myself
Good venue for comedy shows. Food was actually good. Service was consistent throughout the show. There is a 2 item minimum during the show which is standard.
I love this place. Try to go there every time Steve Trevino comes in town.
Wings were good, parking was good and the beer was cheap. No complaints. My boy Godfrey was funny as hell.
Well run Comedy venue. Good sightlines, good reasonably priced menu of appetizers and entrees. Excellent service/friendky staff. Great spot to go for some laughs
Great night, but it should mention on the website that you have to climb a lot of stairs to get in. Not handicap friendly!
This place was VERY fun. We saw a comedian who was backed by Bill Burr, & he was VERY entertaining. Im a 90 year old in a 20s body, & you have to go up 3 flights of stairs to go in, so somehow I hurt BOTH of my knees going up those stairs, and dreaded going back down after the show lol You arent allowed to take photos or recordings (which is understandable) in the facility, they let you know before hand. Id definitely come here again. :)
Was here a long time ago when i lived in Dallas Me and my Brother came to see 4 out of 5 Doctors they were funny real nice place
It is a great small dark room comedy club atmosphere with amazing acts! The food is not bad, definitely pub quality food.
Ive been here twice for two different performers. Front row seats are definitely worth it if you can afford it. The staff deserve 10 stars if possible. They are attentive and very nice. Ive never had any type of issue. If i had any complaint the food and drinks are a little overpriced but it’s no big deal. A great comedy club to visit on a Friday or Saturday night with friends. Tip: get there a little early to get the best seat at your assigned table!
Ill always enjoyed coming to this place, I love a good laugh and Addison Improv manage to get pretty good comedians. Love it!
Saw Bill Bellamy, and J.Reid while I was in town. They tore it up! Hilarious hilarious hilarious! Service was awful, but comedy was great!
Love this spot!! Great staff, clean facility & hilarious comedians
We always have a good time at the Improv. I only wish it were a little more spread out. The seating is so cramped! You are sitting right up under the person next to you! But with that being said, regardless of where you sit you get a great view of the stage. The food is pretty decent and the drinks are good. The Improv is always a good date night idea.
Excellent show, fast service, good value on food
Best place to watch famous comedians, and the staff were very helpful in trying their best getting our food out in time.
An experience we will never forget
So a couple of reasons they get 5 stars (would give more if I could)... 1) as a huge comedy club fan I’ve been to a few of the shows here and they are always amazing. The comedians are hysterical, and the staff that works here is always so sweet and helpful. The other reason is I also frequent Pete’s Dueling Piano bar across the hall from them and after a few too many whiskeys I somehow lost my wallet there one Saturday night. The manager found it and was able to hang onto it for me thank GOD! But I came by to get it one day and got here a little earlier than the manager of the piano bar was going to, so I helplessly called the comedy club asking if they were affiliated and could help me. They’re not affiliated, but the manager Sean knows the manager at the piano bar and went out of his way to call/text him for me and let him know I’m here. I’m sorry but if that’s not excellent customer service I don’t know what is! He didn’t have to help me at all and still went out of his way to. I am super grateful and will recommend this comedy club to everyone I know, not just because the staff is clearly AMAZING but also because it’s an awesome club and always a fun time. Thank you again Sean!!!
Great place to get great laughs and enjoy good drinks. Small appetizers are good and drinks are strong. Watched Tom Green...absolutely hilarious...must see him live, works the crowd masterfully in constant jokes and keeps everyone laughing. Been here a few times and has great local comics too.
I rated 5 star because they featured Brad Williams! He was amazing and laughed the entire time. Our host did a great job too, along with Raj. I felt a little crowded and had some difficulty as I was seated behind one of the largest men in the room while trying to see the smallest man in the room! Had a great time and look forward to more evenings like this!
What a great night, so nice to get out of the house, have few drinks and forget all the crazy.
It was pretty small and I hated the two item per person
This is a classic comedy club with a variety of shows to choose from depending on your interests. I’ve seen comedy magician Magic Mike Williams multiple times at the Magic and Comedy Show for All Ages and have never been disappointed. Mike gets every member of the family laughing together and uses quite a few volunteers and audience interaction. He also stops by tables before the show to share some close up magic and sticks around after to chat and make sure everyone gets a picture with him. I suggest choosing the premium seating because you get one of the tables at the front of the audience.
Know before going: Parking area in front of the club is small. The club is on the second floor. There are stairs to climb. If there is an elevator, I didnt notice it. The seating area is not tiered, so get your seats up front. There are pillars that can obstruct your view if you arent close to the stage. Like all Improv clubs, there is a two item minimum per person.
We went to see Carlos Mencia a week ago he was great! The food is so-so. I would suggest going somewhere else to eat before the show. The only thing that really annoyed me about the whole night was the parking situation. They had the entire parking lot blocked off for valet parking! Luckily my husband and I came for the early show. This is something new as I have been coming to the comedy club for over 10 years. So be prepared to walk!
Monique was out waitress, she was excellent!
Great service, great food and drinks but I have to say DL Hugely is the worse comic Ive ever seen. Im nkt sure if he was too drunk to remember his lines but he literally asked the crowd where you work? Mkre than half of the time he was on stage. I fell asleep bchwas so boring.
We went to see Ian Bagg and sat in the VIP section. It took a little longer than wed thought it would to get drinks, but it was great. In and out. The table we sat at was shared with a bachelor party and everyone was great. Thanks everyone, including the comics.
Great service and they make sure everyone can have fun, share some laughs, all while being safe during this Covid season. :)
Great show. Good food. We had a good time.
Funny local comics and Jerimiah Watkins was as The Kings of Leon lost in the Forrest.
Godfrey is always funny and worth seeing every time.
Always a great time... and I laugh... usually...
Cant wait to go again
A very classy establishment! The doormen make you feel like youve entered a hotel. Growing up in north Dallas suburbs Id always seen this place whenever I was downtown and finally had a chance to go two nights ago for a local comedy showcase! Peng Dang is a hilarious comic from China! I didnt try the food but it looked yummy. Great place to take a date or maybe a work event.
Although the comedians here are excellent and definitely good at what they do! This place is super overcrowded. It has to be some kind of fire or safety hazard. Then you there is a 2 item minimum for stuff that you have no room to eat drink or enjoy! The wait staff is constantly bumping your seats to get thru! Its terrible!! Please I repeat please do not pay for front row seating. You will be so close your neck will hurt from having to look up for so long! This can be a great place if they wouldnt try to squeeze so many people in! Sometime quality is better than quantity.
Much needed night out.. great food great laughs
Great local comedy club. Its still a decent size for a comedy club, but it had a more intimate feel than comedy in Dallas. National comedians, but lots of lsafe known, or local people that are just as funny. Parking is easy, seating is less crowded than normal comedy, but still tight. If you are ready to laugh, head top Addison.
Food was good, service was great, show was AMAZING!!
Great and friendly service.
Seen several comics at this location. Have never been disappointed. Great place for a date night. Highly recommend....
The DL hughley show and all the comedians was Awesome
Fun place to catch some good comedy. Theres always something going on here, from small local comedians and events to national headliners. The staff are super friendly and the service is great. You can grab anything from a drink to a full meal while seeing a hilarious show.
Aside from a Vegas show, this was my first experience at a stand up gig, and my first at a stand up club. It was busy and crowded, but the staff were professional and friendly. Drink prices were a tad bit high, thus the four star review, but still... Its definitely a nice place to watch a show. Not a bad seat in the house.
Great place to enjoy some standup! Ive been visiting the Addison location for years. Ordering tickets is easy, all seating has an easy view of the stage, and the audio is great no matter what table you pick. Unlike other clubs, they dont rush the headliners, and allow them to complete their full set. If you go to the late show, some comedians offer a free late late set after a brief reset. If you want to laugh, this is a great spot.
Drinks are super expensive and the are awful. They didnt know how to make a screw driver. The staff was friendly but the seats were small and uncomfortable. Not worth the 2 drink minimum for two people.
Liked the original location better. Food quality not what you pay for. Still enjoyed the show however.
Vibrant atmosphere and clean place.
Cool place. Tables really jammed in there pretty close. Food was meh. Comedy was good.
Really great show with hilarious comics.2 item minimum on the menu per guest and disgustingly overpriced. My tip is get dinner beforehand and just order a couple drinks each here because the food is nothing to write home about.
Very nice atmosphere I enjoyed it, food was great and the drinks were ok. I will let others know about your club
Comics were great but the service was bad. Server only came for first order and to bring the check, needed refills and to order more drinks. The audience was really low energy and this was the late show, luckily, Steve Byrne is a master comic so he was able to make everyone laugh and have fun.
Went to see Lavell Crawford @ Addison Improv & it was a Great show! The only downside for me was the really tight seating, being seated w/people you may not know & the 18% service charge thats automatically added to the bill. Other than that Lavell & his opening comedians were very funny & Jamal my waiter was great!
Great place to visit for any occasion. Not a bad seat in the house and it had its own parking.
Great location and venue, drinks took forever though. Worse, I was brought the wrong drink and the artist had already started her set so I didn’t get the opportunity to inform the server and correct it
Went to see Carlos Mencia last night. I laughed so hard I cried which I needed. Been going thru alot and the laughter helped alot. Carlos was so cool. He took the time to meet anyone who wanted to meet and take pics. Definitely gonna go back. The atmosphere was great!
When you purchase tickets, you select seats. When we got there, people were sitting in them. There was a terrible mildew smell that lingered the entire show because the air conditioning was not turned on. People all over the audience were fanning themselves with menus. You are forced to sit as if you are in a straight jacked because they pack you in like sardines. There is absolutely no way the tables and chairs set up like they are during the show would pass fire code. If an emergency were to arise, no way would everyone get out of there. Unless you are desperate to see a particular comedian, take your money to Hyenas.
Very nice environment and the staff is super cordial and friendly.
Great entertainment! Thats all!Get some drinks and food before you go or after the show ... serioisly.
Wife and I went on Friday night to see Tony Rock. Now Tony and the host Bryson Brown were hilarious and they definitely made the night worth while. The three stars is strictly for the establishment and if I could give half stars they would get 3.5. My main reasons for the ratings are the seating situation, they opened the doors late and that handwritten card is what was used to figure out where to seat us. We ordered drinks and wings and they were pretty satisfying, however they don’t serve water and the only water available you had to pay for. That is unheard of to me. Also our server mentioned that they only had one bartender!!! Tips for you if you decide to go - Get there early!!! Place your drink order early!!
We went to a family magic show that was a lot of fun! I would love to go back for an adult event. Very neat venue.
Jeremy Piven is a funny dude, had a great time!
Don’t buy premium seating tickets. They didn’t even check tickets and placed us among regular seats. Hostess didn’t even know there was premium seating. They also said upon seating there is a “2 item minimum order per guest.” If the ticket said that when I purchased I would be happy to buy the minimum. A little disorganized. Again, don’t pay double for premium.
Would give higher. Comedy was great. Waiting and support staff not so much. And they charge u 18% gratuity and barely come to your table.
The show was great, Id come see Moz again. However, I wished for more space between people at the tables. Very crowded and there was so little space between people sitting next the you that you feel like a very close family and your knees meet under the table. It was also very warm inside, the AC took a while to kick in after several people finally asked to decrease the temperature.
Drinks are fairly expensive, but the show makes it worth it.
Seen Bruce Bruce.... halirous
