They have many trails here, could go for a short walk or long walk depending on what you came for. Today my spouse and I walked a little of the blue trail and a little of the purple trail. I feel like there could’ve been more more markers and informational tablets like they have near the purple entrance trail. Sometimes we found there were multiple paths you could take while on one path and I was so determined not to step on the wrong one to not get lost. All in all, It was still good walking paths.

I hiked on foot after a storm so it was very flooded. Wetlands ... Makes sense! Purple basically impassable and a couple detours needed on the blue. Easy to get to. The blue trail does a strange turn/split if you are coming from the southern entrance, where the purple trail also begins. When you return, make sure you are following the blue path. Its not clearly marked on the return trip when you approach the split. I unknowingly continued up another unmarked trail.

This is such a beautiful series of trails. Well marked and great variety of terrain. There is a bit of hills though. Also no potable water along the trail.

Its a beautiful place to check out. The wetlands were gorgeous and as you continue on you can hike or walk, see nature and animals while in a rather shaded location. I did not realize how large the area was but you could hours upon hours if you wanted to.

This is a really nice and well thought out nature center with easy walking trails. Pick up a map at the kiosk near the entrance to this nature center or download the app and follow the trails on your phone. There are markers along the trails, all you need to do is match it up on your phone. The Red trail head is for bicycle access only. The other five trailheads are for hiking and horse riding. See the map legend and trail map for specific access. If it has recently rained there may be water from the wetlands encroaching on the trail, just watch where you’re walking unless you like walking in muck. Bring insect repellent, depending on when and where are you walk, you may need it. There are boardwalks and docks for wetland viewing. There are interactive and learning stations to help you understand the echo system and it’s inhabitants. See the trail map for the location of the restrooms. It’s a nice little nature center.

The blue trail was absolutely horrible . The first few mile you are actually hiking through the forest . After that you have to walk through a golf course to get to the other part of the trail. Then once you leave the golf course . It leads you to a busy highway to get to the remaining trail. Which there is a blind spot that you cannot see on coming traffic . Very dangerous

Personally I am a bit reluctant to share with you all what my wife and I consider to be a quiet escape from the busyness of life. We were there on valentines for a little picnic lunch date and we were treated to Red Headed Woodpeckers and Great Blue Herons. In the summer when everything greens up there are lily pads all over the marsh waters. The walls around the marsh are low impact and quite enjoyable. Go and enjoy but do the wildlife a favor and keep reasonably quiet and dont leave any trash. This is a sit and listen kind of place.

No maps of the trails, just odd signs that point you to more odd signs. Great views of the lake although I wish there was a tour to see over the initial brush.

Really like walking here. Theres plenty of trail for hiking, and there are trails for horseback riding and mountain biking. Plenty of tree coverage for shade, so check for ticks in summer.

Stayed and the primitive group site with scouts. Great time. Couple of notes tent pads need the gravel replaced with the correct size. It should be pea gravel, not crush and run. Also, suggest you add some pit toilets to improve site and increase usage.

A favorite place to hike close to home. Marked trails, beautiful scenery, and wildlife if you watch for it. A peaceful place thats great for exercise and quiet reflection. There are several trails there, some designated for bikes. Canoes, kayaks, and other non-motorized crafts are permitted on the water, but swimming and fishing are not allowed.A little overgrown on my visit yesterday, but the park staff usually do a great job of maintaining the trails, even laying down mulch. The vegetation is pretty, and I usually spot turtles, geese, and herons on the water.

Awesome place to go for a mild hike in the woods. Has awesome foliage and little markers every couple hundred feet. The dock is very nice to go out on and we saw a few deer in the area and got some great pictures. Highly recommend.

We love this park. I would give it 5 stars but my car and my sisters car were broken into at this park is 2015 the same day. We were only at the park for about 15 minutes. We have been back many times since then no problem. Beautiful area.

Nice easy trail that go around the water plus there are harder trails you can take that run off the water trails. The public bathrooms are on the horsepark side down where they run the small trains.
