Fantastic trails with plenty of opportunity to add up some mileage if you go off the tower trail. The less popular view from the Krupa Loop Is fantastic --- as is the new vista. Potter ridge is also nice change of pace in terms of scenery.CARRY IN AND CARRY OUT. The number of people that leave bags of dog poop at the trail head is obscene. Dont be that person. Also, if you are visiting in fall its best to wear some blaze orange (especially near dusk/dawn) - same goes for your animals.Up and down is about 45min to an hour
Enjoyed walking this trail. It is marked clearly. But still print out the map at home or take a picture of the map on your smartphone as you enter. You can take the yellow trail all the way from Shaker Road or choose to explore some of the less direct paths from Oak Hill Road or Shaker Road. Most of the yellow trail is uphill. The trail is wide and easy to walk with another. The views are beautiful. This is just a few miles round trip, depending on the path you take. It is a very nice walk any time of the day and still leaves plenty of time in your day for many other activities.
A nice hike with well marked trails. The trip to the tower is not too rigorous except for the last 200 yards. The tower itself has a beautiful 360° view. The only reason its not getting five stars is because of the amount of bugs we encountered on our trip. While the trail was dry the bugs seem to have found it a very pleasing place to feed on humans.
Great trail system with distance and different viewpoints. Lots of area to explore and not a hard walk which makes it easy to go the distance. There are a lot of cutoffs, some circles, and even a few places to sit down. The fire tower is nice and tall which allows for great panoramic views/photos. During the warmer months it would be a great biking trail.
The last time I was here was when I was working on my fire tower quest in 2016. There have been a lot of improvements made since then. Especially with updated signage. If you do all the loops off of Tower Trail, you can get a pretty good workout and enjoy nature at the same time. The fire tower itself is in Loudon, and I didnt go to the fire tower this time. That wasnt my goal. I was just exploring the other trails.
Nice hike this morning at Oak Hill! The fire tower is currently under construction so you cant go up to check out the views at this time. Theres a lot of black flies at the top where the tower is.I recommend a natural non toxic bug spray made with essential oils and always check for ticks.Happy Hiking!
Good trails pretty easy hike
Great hike and even better lookout at the top.
Great place to hike if you want some elevation. Many different off shots so you can loop back around when someone gets tired too lol.tried getting to the fire tower but one of my boys was getting tired and grumpy.
The oak hill has a good trail and playfull but the surroudings is too trashy
Well maintained trails with good views. Plenty of different paths to take
Nice place to hike thats close by
This is a nice local hiking area with well maintained trails. The trails are well marked and there is a nice map in the parking area. The parking area is tight but manageable.
Great way to get out into nature and see some good views. Round trip to the fire tower is between 45 minutes and an hour. 30 min hike to Vista view and back.
Easy, well marked trails
Trails were marked and clean and lots of beautiful views. Definitely enjoyed my time here. Fun for the whole family if u enjoy nature and trails!
Took the yellow trail the entire way. Awesome fairly easy hike with a gorgeous 360 view if you climb the fire tower at the top.

Great short hike, lots of options, not difficult at all. Surprised that it was rated moderate.
Such a great trail for family!!
Great 2 hour hike, perfect for kids. Pack a light back pack, snacks and water and take the family on a little nature hike. Difficulty 2/10, dont forget bug spray.
Great system of trails right in Concord. Pretty well marked. A fire tower at the top.
A nice walk to the tower and back. Not far from the city but far enough to have the wilderness experience. Come in the fall and the bugs are gone!
Nice quick hike, many trail systems to take to make the walk longer. Peaks at some water and cell towers with a fire lookout.
Great little place for a sunset hike with your dog
Local pleasure:-) well marked. Little neighborhood library at startup!
