Hiked the Turkey Creek Loop on a hot day. A little over 3 miles. There were 4 stream crossings but the water was low and we were able to cross no problem. Just be cautious after recent rains as it may be difficult or impassable.

Love this place! Scenic views, and a swimming hole with a rope swing. Admittedly the rope swing is pretty useless to swing off into the water, but its still fun. We always have a great time here.

Great trails with a lot of different paths. Can be as easy or as hard as you want. Great bluffs to also get some pretty incredible views. Really fun during winter when the creeks have ice. The tunnel that is in the area is blocked off but apparently it will eventually be opened back up. Also decent areas are available to camp.

Great place to get back in touch with nature. Beautiful rock bluffs with caves all over. BTW, all the really cool stuff is off the trail. Make your own trail and discover some things. Come prepared to hike up and down big hills. Primitive-style camping here is great but youll have to hike a ways to get to the good camping spots by the creeks. There are no designated camping areas so hike as far as you can until you find an area that suits you.

Great place to hike and get away. Keep an eye out during different hunting seasons. Conservation areas are great unknown treasures in Missouri. This area has at least three different main entrances. This one is just south of Pierpont

I would have starred this higher because the area is geologically and visually FASCINATING; however, I will not return without sidearm and dog. There was a three tent camp area that had been abandoned (tents, chairs, etc.) only to be squatted upon by what appeared to be a homeless (at best) man. He stated he had slept in his truck the previous night and stumbled upon this camp site that morning. He would clean it up. We were not going to stick around to verify his story or his intent. Way too creepy; better safe than sorry - we hot-footed back to the car.

A nice quick hike with a good bit of descending and ascending for those who want a bit of exercise. The trail is not long at all from what a friend and i could find and the location requires some pretty esoteric info on the area in order to find quickly.

Absolutely love Three creeks however I typed in paved trails to search and got three creeks and I know there are NO paved trails there. Fabulous place been going for decades even caved there several times when I could still walk but I no longer can so its closed to me and the trails are not even rocked very well.

Access to horseback trails from large gravel parking areas at northern aspect. Trails themselves are easy for the most part. Riding is limited by temporary trail closure where private property meets conservation area property.

Not a lot of signage when driving in, but the trails are in decent shape, and it has some interesting bluffs to hike around.

As a public natural resource I would like to give this area five stars, but due to the inaccuracy of MDCs map of the Turkey Creek Interpretive Nature Trail, I took away a star. The map is particularly inaccurate in the area immediately surrounding the parking lot for the trail, making it difficult to get ones hike off on the right foot. While we had a delightful time getting slightly lost, it could be a real problem if hiking with young children.
