Beautiful park, very picturesque surroundings. Plenty of interesting flora and fauna. Thank you Columbia Parks and Recreation! Well kept and clean, I will visit again. The disc golf course is challenging and fun, I and members of my family drove an hour and a half to play here. An oak tree similar to the angel oak on Johns Island in Charleston, the pond with the fountain and aquatic birds, herds of deer running across open fields lent themselves to a visit not soon forgotten. Kudos to all.
For the part of town this is a great hidden gem. Great place for disc golf going on walks and finding some wildlife.
Was a nice park until they moved some of the disc golf nets to new locations. Ruined the spot under the big beautiful oak tree by placing one of the nets under the tree. Whoever thought it was a good idea to place disc golf nets on the main trails didnt think it through. And not to mention the rude disc golf players that you will sometimes come across that intentionally go out of their way to make walking the trails less than enjoyable.
Nice park! I thought it would be bigger, with more walking trails. Theres basically 1 loop around the pond. But probably 15-20 tennis courts!
Mostly for tennis and disc golf. Has a nice lake for some fishing, trails through the woods too.
We really enjoy going to this park. There are lots of things to see and do. You can walk, run and bike on the trails, watch wildlife around the water, play frisbee golf, take a hike, play tennis or any number of games in the wide open spaces near the entrance. There are bathrooms near the water/tennis courts. You can feed the ducks too- just make sure not to take bread. We take frozen small veggies to feed the turtle, fish and ducks. It’s also a great backdrop for family photos.
Never been here. Came to do a photoshoot but this parlor is beautiful!
Nice place! Will be going back. Clean bathroom too which was very nice to have!
Nice shady park for tennis or a walk around the lake. It also has Frisbee golf.
Nice trails and great for the family to take a nice walk. Very peaceful and quiet with plenty of places to sit and enjoy being outside.
Nice quaint place to visit and walk around the small lake or play tennis
The best park in the immediate Columbia area, it is worth the drive to it from downtown. Great disc golf course, some beautiful oaks, and a nice place for a walk. It also has a ton of tennis courts, a kayak/canoe friendly pond, and some nice open fields (not completely flat).
Nice clean park with walking paths, disk golf, tennis courts and a lake.
I had no idea it was there but really enjoyed it. Nice walk with a pretty view.
Enjoyed the disc golf course. Nice park
Love the disc golf course.
Beautiful park with nice walking trails. Always feel safe and comfortable there. The pond loop is 1/2 mile and sometime disc golfers are on the trail but I’ve never had a problem. My go to park!
A somewhat hidden gem. Unless you live in the Lower Richland area, you may not have visited or even know about Southeast Park. Situated just off of 378/76, it feels like you are further out into nature than that. Well done walking trails and the best disc golf course in the area, its worth a visit.
Nice disc golf course! Needs the grass cut
Great shaded walking trails. Geese keep you moving.
Frisbee golf, tennis and walking trails. Dog friendly on leash. Just has not had much funding to keep it updated which is unfortunate as it fills a nice outdoor need for the community
Nice tennis courts (hard courts and clay courts): parking is a bit far making a bit of a walk down a paved path to each court, but the courts are in good shape / new. There aren’t enough benches to sit between sets during a match though. Overall, the tennis facility here is very nice.
Great place to visit
Great community place. Has great walking trails and tennis courts. Very well kept.
I would never go back there again when someone ask me about it I will tell them to find another park. I have never been treated so bad in a public place. I was almost attacked by a dog and was called names In my 72 years of life I have never been called. So you can have that park.
Nice and quiet place for a nice walk or just to chill out... Would be even better to have a playground for the kids to get enjoyment too... All got to enjoy the turtles and fish
Great park for dog walking on leash
Great tennis courts -10 years ago. Deferred maintenance, threadbare blue top and missing between-court benches make SEP a worn-out memory of seasons past. Your balls and shoes will take a beating. A confident, large, and plentiful Canadian goose population pose an additional threat to your shoes. Watch your step as you disembark from the parking lot to the courts. Play ball!
The park was very well maintained. The fountain was very pretty. We really enjoyed the turtles and fish.
Great place to play tennis
Peaceful place!
Nice park
A fun, well maintained place to play disc golf
Nice place to run/walk
Love going walking here!! Beautiful scenery!
Great park
I have been told to be cautious here but I have never ran into any problems here. There is always a ranger at the ranger station or walking around the park. There are multiple paths, disc golf, a huge field to have a party in or play sports, and picnic tables scattered throughout. There is also a small bridge where you can look over and see fish and turtles. They do allow you to fish here within regulations, and their are tennis courts on the grounds above the path. There is a restroom area, where you also fine bowls left out for your pups to drink from. At the ranger station you can often find tennis balls left there for use.I love taking my dogs here as well as my kids it is close by and good when you need to burn off some energy.
Nice place to visit, see the ducks, have a picnic ;)
Quiet place to walk. They also have over 20 lighted tennis courts and an 18 hole disc golf course.
Located off Hazelwood rd in southeast Columbia. This is a great place to go with kids and pets. There are lots of walking trails, several tennis courts, outdoor meeting areas, and they have a frisbee golf course. We have often used the landscape areas for great family photos. There is a pond but no fishing. This park is under the care of city of Columbia parks and recreation.
I love feeding the here great place for family fun
Great trails for walking and running
Nice park.... frisbee golf course is excellent
Relaxation time
Unbelievable public tennis courts. Lit at night. A pond with a fountain in the middle to provide some wonderful background sound.
Nice quiet place to walk around or fish. A little on the small side but great place to get away from the city.
Beautiful out of the way park. Seen deer there many times. Dogs must be on a leash
Great park on the Southeast side if Columbia. Fishing lake, trails, and tennis courts. Seems to also always have staff on duty so is very safe. Restrooms. And its free!
Super secluded
Nice area. Avid fisherman very little bass population if any at all
Quiet and clean. Nice walking path.
Lovely place to walk woods scenery pond scenery trees everywhere restroom available and heels to climb
Great place to walk and take the kids fishing.
Love to walk around the walking loop they have around the pond.
Park is great and shaded. Very clean atmosphere and has a map to help you with disk golf course. Park has lots if cools things to do.
This place is awesome! Clean bathrooms, thats not the best part but noteworthy for a park. The water was clean, except for the shopping cart but the fish seemed to like the reef affect. The ducks are friendly but dont feed them! The turtles, so many turtles, they will follow you (you walk, they swim) and I thought that was rather nifty; tracker turtles exist, the things you learn! So, go for a walk, a picnic, lunch, disc golf, shenanigans... The possibilities are many, taste the rainbow! Disclaimer: Skittles not included.
Great Disc Golf Course
Great disc golf course
Like it. Its peaceful and quiet...trails are a bit small, good for minimum amount of walking. Love that it has a tennis court and I think a outhouse... havent used it tho lol
Love it keep and safe.
I went to have lunch with my family and love the lake and the little things that they had around.
Its a great place to relax and chill out
Went to eat my lunch very relaxing.
Great place to relax
Excellent layout. Walking trails, disc golf and a first rate tennis facility. They need to solicit help maintaining the clay courts and bring back benches or chairs on all the courts.
Great tennis courts and beautiful park!
Great nature friendly staff really good place to view fish and turtles and birds just overall nice place
Love to walk the trails!
Love walks here. Need more visible park employees
Beautiful and wonderful place of serenity
Quiet environment to walk.
This park used to get a 5 plus from me but over the last few months they have broke the fountain drained the pond ... the city need to get it together and fix it up
Good Conditon..
Very relaxing atmosphere
A very nice park with many tennis courts, partially shaded trails, and a disc golf course. The lake has geese to observe (but not feed).
Great place to stretch your legs or if you play tennis looks like it has some nice courts. Only wish it had more Pokemon stops.
Great place to walk and have peace of mind.
So nice and peaceful there. My daughter and I love to take the dog for a walk.
Pretty little park
Needs more shade trees but the park itself is nice
Great place to go
Helpful park staff but watch out for geese droppings on sidewalk
I truly enjoy, peaceful place
Awesome park, well maintained and can be used for a variety of activities. I use it to play Frisbee golf, and tennis.
Never overcrowded
Great place to go for a walk or run on trails. Also has really nice tennis courts and disc golf course.
Love this park. Play disc golf here frequently. Some challenging holes, but its well maintained. Park is never too crowded either.
I love to take the grand kids there to fish
Great shops and dining options!
Nice walk in the woods!
Park was nice good place to walk.
This is the best park ever, very clean, just nice quiet, natural in its full nature.
