Took a final stroll around the beautiful grounds of the Cincinnati Zoo before the opening of the Festival of Lights on Friday afternoon. Lots of animal activity including Fiona the hippest of hippos and a ball of cozy meerkats. The lights looked great in the daylight so they should be dazzling in the dark. Go and enjoy this wonderful icon of Cincinnati. You will not be disappointed.
Okay keep in mind it is the time of Covid-19. Getting to the zoo and getting in the zoo was fine. However once in the zoo its a very different story. There are areas marked to wear masks however they have no one in theses area, minus the kangaroo/blue penguin exhibit, to hold people accountable. Therefore you are 50/50 at BEST of people following any protocol in the park. Im being generous here. As for the park it was nice. Id suggest either early morning to go when it is slightly cooler. More animals will be active unlike when we went around 2pm and it got hot 80+. Most animals were either sleeping or in the shade. Also you pay for parking as you leave. Since this was our first time and I pre-paid I was a bit confused. All in all a good time. Really would have been tough with more people though.
Loved the Zoo & animals!! Food trucks had a lot yo be desired, hamburger & bun was cold...the staff that worked at the food trucks were not knowledgeable of what sauces were. Chicken was large enough to share for 2...it would be nice if they would either show how ample they were or have staff know. But that was the only disappointment. Beautiful Zoo!!
Had a lovely experience visiting the zoo with an infant and toddler. The facilities were well kept and precautions were set in place in response to COVID-19. The train was cleaned between every trip, masks were required indoors and in high traffic areas and food ordering was online. It wasnt crowded thanks to having to reserve your visiting time online ahead of time. Would recommend for a family outing!
There is no question that this is the best zoo in the North East and possibly the country. This zoo is beautifully landscaped well maintained and all the exhibits are incredibly well managed and natural. All of the animals are active alert healthy and comfortable. Many of them interacting with guests. I love the educational information at each exhibit and credit to donations. Due To the pandemic a few small areas are closed or have barriers but they do not inhibit the over all experience. You can easily spend the whole day here and is safe for young children. I got there early and also like how they are only selling so many tickets per hour and you must book ahead on line it really cuts down on the crowds and I hope that they continue to sell tickets this way. It makes for a much more enjoyable time not having to battle crowds
During this pandemic I think the Zoo did an excellent job of keeping distances and having constant hand sanitizer stations. In fact, masks were not required as long as you were separated from other people. However in the high traffic area masks were required. Only problem we had was a group of children left unsupervised who started licking door handles for fun. That was.... something.
This is a great Zoo.Getting parked and finding the lot in general when we arrived was a bit of a pain and should be marked better, but, once out of the car and up the escalators to get in The Zoo, a very pleasant experience. It is incredibly relaxing, well laid out, and absolutely beautiful. The mixture of the gardens and trees with the exhibits make it seem like an oasis and the exhibits here are some of the absolute best Ive seen. Animals have ample space and dont seem cluttered, at all.Nice Covid19 guidelines in place that I felt like most of the staff and general population was observing. Reservation times to enter was nice and non touch ticket scan worked out well.Prices for food and drinks were reasonable. Finally got to meet famous Fiona.A great zoo, well worth the price of admission.
Wonderful. Got to see the baby which is not much a baby anymore. We were also able to see her and BB get hand feed, very cool. The up close with the kangaroos was a great addition! Only sad part was how little the snake tanks are. My pregnant wife was crying for those poor snakes. Feeding the giraffes was pretty cool as well. The elephant looked so bored and sad. But it is captivity so it is what is expected. Over all had a great day. Thank you to all the amazing staff members during this time.
Absolutely love this Zoo!! This was my boyfriends first time going to the Cincy Zoo. Its always cool to see different animals that you havent seen before. Well definitely be back because there was so much we didnt see.
The Zoo itself was clean and fun. And we LOVE getting to see Fiona. However, the train ride is a joke. They put up plexiglass between seats but then still skipped every other one so it took us 1.5 hours to get through the line and off the train which caused us to miss part of the zoo before closing... however, the worst part (besides missing part of the zoo) was the rudeness of the train staff. One guy rudely told me husband to pull up his face mask even though he was clearly drinking his drink. So much so that he called security because he refused to pull up his mask until he was done and then the guy proceeded to tell him that when security got there they would be sure to escort him out of the park. There were several other people who did not have on mask either but they were never confronted about it. And if that wasnt bad enough, the conductor driving the train yelled at me as she was driving by to pull mine up even though I was pulling my cup away from my mouth to swallow my drink. The lady beside me was in shock from her calling me out how she did. We had no problems wearing the mask. We wore them when we were suppose to but the rudeness from the staff was wrong and to pin point us even though there were others was wrong. The 1st guy even made my 4 year old cry because of the way he was talking to my husband. He was really scared after the guy came back and told my husband he would have to leave that he (my 4 year old) was gonna have to leave too and was going to jail. We had to calm him down and tell him that was not the case. So... I know covid sucks. I know that the zoo is short staffed and I know they probably get tired of saying the same things over and over... but dont be so rude next time. Still gave a 4 star rating because we do love the zoo!
Lots of nice animals, some unique, look like they are well cared for. The Christmas lights were beautiful!
Had a blast! Lots of walking so be aware of those with you who have short legs or may not be as physically fit as you . I would have liked to see employees enforcing masks when not seated in eating areas and enforcing masks over noses. Some of the animals we didnt get to see and that just makes me need to plan a second trip. I wonder if I can rent a segway
It was my first time visiting and for a smaller than space than Columbus it was a very enjoyable visit. Even with covid-19 going on and social distancing in place I felt I was able to enjoy my visit and see the park in its fullest. Animals seemed very happy and relaxed. Layout of park was a little daunting, but considering the size of the total area it was well sectioned.
We celebrated our anniversary with a trip to the zoo this year, and we had a blast! There were a few things we wanted to see and do, that we couldnt due to Covid, but it didnt deter us from having fun! We took in the Cheetah Painting and Purrs encounter (with our artist Tommy T). It was AMAZING!! To get to see one of the cheetahs up close and personal was beyond compare! And the paw print painting was the icing on the cake!! Each and every zoo employee was absolutely friendly and helpful! We will DEFINITELY be going back after everything goes back to normal to get the full experience we were looking for!
Enjoyed our visit to the zoo. Very nice and clean. Wish elephants had more room or stimulation, they seemed sad to me. The staff was decorating for Christmas, looks beautiful! Prices are high for food and drink, water 3.50 and we had to buy a whole LaRosas pizza (couldnt just get slices.) Still a good experience and had a fun day. Bought season tickets so going back!
Didnt realize the zoo was huge. We made a reservation for 3:30-4 and because it was late we didnt get to see many of the animals. Overall it was fun because they had a Christmas lights thing going on and the place looked pretty.
This zoo is super hilly so wear good walking shoes! Since it’s COVID time, they are asking people to wear face masks and to be mindful of other people. Some people aren’t necessarily following those rules and as far as I could tell no one was trying to enforce it. The animals were out and about! Love how big lots of the animals enclosures are! The gift shop was pretty big and had a variety of items to buy.
I wish I could give this more than 5 stars! My boyfriend and I spent almost all day here walking around and exploring. What a great experience!
I bet it is beautiful at another time of year. We came a little late in the season, most animals were not out and water features drained. Didnt feel like a zoo, which was great.
Great zoo - alot of animals are from warmer climates and not out during winter. However its still worth the trip even in the cold! If your going for the Christmas lights, they did a fantastic job!
Not a natural flow to the park. No one wearing masks and many people not observing appropriate distance. Some of the exhibits allow you to get fairly close to the animals. Some exhibits shut down before the park closed.
I love the zoo. The membership is a bit pricey. But its always clean and well maintained. You can tell the animals are well taken care of. Was disappointed to find out the movie theater was replaced with a smooth/coffee place.
Beautiful day at the zoo today!!It was an afternoon visit so many of the animals were having their siestas. The architecture of the older buildings is amazing and there were lots of flowers in bloom!! The insects, butterflies, chipmunks, squirrels and birds were out!! Plants are labeled in case you want to create your own home habitat.Thank you Cincinnati Zoo!!
A fantastic zoo overall. One of the best in the country. The new kangaroo exhibit is pretty disappointing. Youll wait in line for an hour, and may not even see a kangaroo due to the poor layout. The path is far from the shed where the kangaroos hang out.
The zoo never ceases to amaze me. Every dime seems well spent there. Constant improvements, beautiful gardens, ingenious ways of setting up exhibits that make you feel ever more a part of their habitat. Had a great day there with my family.
Great outdoor fun for the family! Not as large/spread out as the Columbus Zoo, but still has plenty of animals to see. My kids love the new walk-through kangaroo pen, the reptile house, and the African animals area.
Wonderful zoo! They have animals not found at most zoos. Manatees, and painted dogs are just a few. Cincinnati zoo has Fiona! A baby hippo who is adorable. My grandson wanted to watch her for a long time. Its a very large zoo and has a train ride which children really enjoy. Reasable prices.
The famous baby Fiona Hippo lives here! Her exhibit is tucked away deep in the African Safari zone, so dont miss the turn as youll miss it. Went during covid times, had to buy the tickets at a time slot. I went at 1pm, zoo closes at 5pm, and walked around the full zoo and rode the train. 4 hours is adequate amount of time to see the zoo as some exhibits were closed. I ate before entering the zoo to help stay away from people in lines for food and drinks. I brought a full 24oz water bottle and it was exactly enough me, hopefully for you as well. Zoo enforces the mask rule at the areas that are marked mask wearing zone. I wore a mask the full time in 82° sunny hot, zero clouds in the sky and was fine. Irony was many people who didnt wear masks were the ones at high risk of the virus, heavy set older folks. There are hand sanitizer stations at every entrance and exit of an exhibit. A lot of the animals that were displayed were all relaxing due to the weather. Its a great walkable zoo. If youre a Pokemon go fan and enjoy many gyms and stops this is a great place for you. Very family and baby cart friendly paths and many powered wheel chairs available for use if your member of the group needs one.
Went to the zoo with my parents and sister while visiting Cincy. It was a fantastic visit with great exhibits and keepers. Everyone was friendly and their organization to get people in during Covid was great. Definitely will go again!!!
The zoo and all of the animals were great. There were a few of the exhibits that were closed like the gorillas. Most of the vendors were also closed. The train was running but the line was really long. There were hand sanitizer stations spread throughout the zoo.The zoo was not enforcing the mask or six feet of distance. Obviously it would be impossible to police the entire zoo but in high traffic areas there was no one that i saw trying to keep people separated or wearing their masks. I saw whole families who did not have a mask. I thought kings island did a much better job making sure everyone was safe.
I love that the caretakers try to give the animals a natural habitat so as to give them a semblance of home. I also love the variety of animals there as well as the program’s for protecting our wildlife.
Went there recently and was super disappointed at the lack of mask enforcement by the zoo. No one to monitor high traffic areas such as the giraffe, gorilla and hippo viewing areas and there are so many people at one time in those areas without masks hovering over you and each other to look at the animals. I was petrified. The zoo was packed like a regular day(I am not sure if they are limiting visitors like they are saying) cause people go in and they dont count the number coming out. So people are hanging out all day at the zoo and more and more people keep going in! And you see all over the zoo people walking around without masks, walking by you, walking close to you and not maintaining the 6 ft distance. It was scary to go with my child and I am never going back. Cancelled my membership as well! Cincinnati zoo you need to do better.
Lights and Christmas music put us in a festive mood while visiting the zoo. Many animals were inside but we were able to see Fiona and her mom through a glass window. Cant wait to go again!
Was a beautiful day for the zoo!!! Loved the kangaroos... Tortoises and the wolves were out and about... Little squirrels darting here and there... Fiona was sleeping as were the gorillas. They were busy putting up lights for the upcoming holiday season.
I really liked this zoo. On a hot day where the sun was beating down on us, there always seemed to be shade nearby to keep us cool. Very pretty place and all the animals were really cool to see, especially the hippos!
Wonderful experience! Large selection of animals and beautiful gardens. There are quite a lot of hills so if youre with smaller children, good idea to have a stroller. My 4 year old was complaining so next time well definitely come more prepared.
Saw the baby kangaroos!! They let you in the pin with them!! It was amazing!! The new set up was beautiful!! We had such an amazing time!
The zoo was great! We went in early October and several of the animals were inside for the cold weather, which was a bummer. But feeding the giraffes was AMAZING!The only reason I dont give 5 stars is because parking and then finding the pedestrian entrance to the park was a tad confusing if you arent from Cincy.
Good zoo but definitely did not live up to ranking and hype. Many animals were not out for viewing due to the temperature and many restaurants were closed
Beautiful exhibits and habitats. The staff is very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. My son absolute loves it here. He begs to come here every time me visit Cincinnati for medical care. His favorites are Fiona, the gorillas and the pandas.
The festival of lights is beautiful. Definitely worth it but dont expect to see too many animals in the evening. It is mostly about the lights
Took my fiance and myself and we had a great time. Staff was very friendly and outgoing. Ticket prices were low pricey $53 for two adults.
Excellent zoo, great time with the family; the kids always have a blast, a must visit spot in Cincinnati for a family oriented activity.
I havent been to the Cincinnati Zoo in about 5 years I loved that theyve made so many changes. What I didnt like was when my family and I went to get lunch we had to stand in 2 separate lines to get food and drinks. And in crowded areas like the hippos and the gorillas there was no employee to move people along so other people could get a look. But overall it was a great experience.
We have the best zoo... bought a family membership this year for the first time EVER LOVE IT
Great zoo with lots of animals! Many of the exhibits were closed due to COVID. Masks were required in certain areas of the park, but for the most part we didn’t have to wear them which was nice since we were mostly outside.I was really excited to see that this is the zoo that houses Fiona! I have followed her on Facebook since she was born, and it was really cool to see her in person. They had areas where you could normally feed certain animals like giraffes, and animals in the petting zoo. But those were all closed off due to COVID as well. Props to the park for keeping everyone safe during this time. There was a brand new baby rhino that did not have a name yet.Manatee exhibit was closed, and that was disappointing. We were hoping to see that.We only had a couple of hours to get through the entire zoo before they closed. We made a last minute decision to stop here on our way to Gatlinburg from Michigan. When you’re driving to the zoo, it doesn’t feel like you’re in the best area of town. But once you pull in to the parking lot and walk in to the park it’s fine. 5/5 rating for this zoo!
First time coming to the zoo and I loved everything about it besides the layout. I found the layout to be a bit confusing and found myself back tracking a lot of areas because of missing animals while walking around. The zoo made sure to keep everyone distance and plenty of sanitary stations. And of course meeting Phiona was the highlight of the trip. Her cute antics and love for humans was a great relax from the world.
Very enjoyable time with the kids . Impressed with how well they took covid precautions. The botanical gardens are one of a kind in the area.
Amazing experience at the Cincinnati Zoo. There are informative and interesting panels by each of the animals allowing you to learn fun facts about the animals.
Great zoo! Wasnt open completely due to covid 19 but Im excited to visit again when things are back to normal.
The most beautiful zoo I have ever visited. From the landscaped design to exhibits. It was so amazing with tall bamboo, trees everywhere etc...They also were very well organized with social distancing. Lots of animals outdoors, our favorite was Fiona the Hippo, and also the giraffes. Great for families. Only advice lots of walking so wear good walking shoes. I learned my lesson with flip-flops.
Thank you for allowing us to see a variety of Gods creatures.Praying for the staff and patrons who enrer these gates. Maybe consider more mask enforcement however at this time. It is critical that we all practice safer actions to prevent this virus spreading further.
We always enjoy our time at the Cincinnati Zoo. Great care is given to the animals and very visual displays. The new kangaroo valley is amazing. You get to walk right with the kangaroos! Of course a visit wouldn’t be complete without seeing Fiona and a train ride.
This is a great all-around zoo. Kids usually love the Gorillas an insect house (which are now open even during Covid). Masks are not required outside, which is nice. There are these little green boxes around the zoo that you can buy a key for in the gift shops. The keys are only $3 (with a membership) and kids love finding the green boxes, which share information about the animals.
Such a beautiful zoo! I loved all the beautiful trees and flowering plants! I got a little turned around at times so I would have benefited from a little better signage but maybe it was just me. Loved my visit!
Not as clean nor open as Columbus Zoo. Maps went digital only and signs arent very clear.Columbus was better by far.
Even with the restrictions in place the visit was great. Masks are not required, but recommended. Food areas are not open so we just ate an Icee and pretzel which was delicious. There are lots of hand sanitizing and washing stations. Some enclosed areas are not open but the insect house was and the reptile house was. My 14 and 15 yr old boys had a great time.
Very clean and neat. Plenty of things to do! I was there 4 hours and saw everything. The Christmas lights are going up so it is beautiful!
Large zoo with a great variety of animals. The viewing areas give you a good variety of vantage points and there were some REALLY nice enclosures. Water is sold canned and there are no straws, so bring reusable plastic/metal bottles/straws if your family needs those. If you go during covid-19 restrictions, I recommend packing some snacks or sandwiches because the food options were mostly sweets and carbs. (The pizza place was open and there are lots of options for cooling off like icees, dippin dots, and root beer floats.)
The zoo is really beautiful... so many trees and plants to enjoy. We went in the late morning and a lot of the animals weren’t active, but we saw so many still! It is an easy zoo to navigate and the staff were very helpful. If you’re in town, check it out!
We had such an amazing time..The lights were absolutely beautiful
My son loves his Fiona the Hippo book so I looked online and saw that the best hours to visit were between 3-5pm because that is when the hippos are most active. So we bought tickets for 3:00-3:30. By the time we got across the street an into the zoo it was like 3:30. We visited all the animals along the way and saw Fiona and her mom, Bibi! That was great. But basically, not long after it was closing time at 5:00. I thought I read somewhere to plan 1-2 hours for the trip and this definitely wasnt enough, especially with small children. We should have come much earlier and taken a long lunch break and gone to the hippos after that. It was a nice zoo, a little more expensive than I wanted hut apparently if you buy tickets out farther they are cheaper. We bought ours a few days in advance because we were watching covid stats and didnt want them to go to waste if we couldnt go. We will definitely go back if we are in the area. Also, a lot of enclosures were empty because it was too cold for the animals in October and then some of the indoor enclosures were closed due to covid and not being able to space out enough. So, take that into consideration because when I emailed asking what enclosures were open or closed they didnt mention the ones that were closed due to the temperature.
It was a very enjoyable experience. We were able to see most of the animals even though it was very hot. It was very clean and well maintained and the animals were well cared for. Some exhibits were closed due to covid. The layout of the zoo was a little confusing and we didnt see any hand held maps. I would recommend to others visiting this zoo though. It is a lot of walking so be prepared.
Stellar visit. Roo valley was fabulous! Gorillas were busy too. Had a marvelous time. Good job zoo.
The zoo itself is fine. I had two problems1. We got a later reservation around 2:30. I called ahead and asked a lady if that was enough time to get through the zoo and she said that should be more than enough time. We could only see most of the outside exhibits and had to skip ALL of the indoor exhibits. By the time we were done with that it was closing.2. I have had to file a claim with PayPal because they offer prepaid parking on their website but upon entrance and exit they dont scan QR codes so basically your parking is free and I never saw payment taken from anyone else. Their excuse is well you parked in our lot so your payment is valid yea.... But why should I have to pay when others dont? Will we visit again? Probably.. will I pay for advance parking again? Absolutely not. Probably wont visit until COVID is over. And its not even about the masks, I dont like having late reservations because Im not guaranteed to see what I want and their reservations fill up quick.
Beautiful went for festival of lights unfortunately started raining 30 min. after we got there
One of the jewels of southwest Ohio. The Cincinnati Zoo is an excellent organization. Fantastic opportunities to see animals and green spaces. Constantly being improved and updated for animals and visitors alike. If youre visiting Cincinnati, you must go. I have been enjoying this places since childhood and I know I always will.
Great zoo! Loved you could walk through the kangaroo exhibit with the Wallys alongside. Awesome animals, well-designed exhibits, good covid precautions. You wanna go!
Lots of exhibits to see animals. They encourage social distancing and wearing a mask, but some places get very crowded. Overall great experience
We went for the festival of lights and it was beautiful. Well worth the trip
This is a nice zoo. However, many exhibits were closed today due to Corona. If the whole facility were open it might receive 5 stars, but I cant give that based on todays visit alone. I will definitely be back however, and may even purchase a zoo pass in the future depending on cost. Would be a great place to come for taking walks and some light hiking. Very limited interaction with staff today, but those we did encounter were friendly.
What a great zoo! We spent the entire day at the Cincinnati Zoo exploring. The animals are, of course, awesome. Their habitats were clean and spacious. The park is very clean. The botanical gardens are basically the park. Beautiful landscape and flowers throughout. Highly recommend a visit.
Very big place... Lots of walking!! Animals werent as active as should be... Places and train closed due to the virus.. Overall it was a very good experience... Make sure to check the weather before going. It was very HOT
Me and my wife and friends had a great time down at the zoo and the Christmas of lights was fun to everyone should go to the zoo to just take a wonderful walk and just have fun
The Cincinnati Zoo is by far the coolest, biggest and most unique zoos Ive been to in my life so far, and probably wont be topped. We spent around 4 hours here and all of it was unique exhibits and animals. Its the only zoo Ive seen with a kangaroo exhibit, and the kangaroos arent caged, meaning they can walk by you. I know the harambe incident was 4 years ago but a memorial or statue to pay respects to him would have been nice to see.
The landscaping at this zoo was breathtaking. Lots of animals, very viewable exhibits. And the countrys oldest zoo building!
Beautiful place every one kept distant even the animals lol
Love the care that is giving to the animals. I also appreciate how the animals are grouped together and the family-friendly. My only recommendation is more signage for some of the more popular animals. Parking was easy to find and not a far walj from the entrance.
Really nice looking zoo, but lacking in basic services. Beautiful exhibits, but wheelchairs were not available at this time, food locations were mostly closed, unless all you wanted was a pretzel. They of course didnt tell us they were closed when we asked for directions to the food locations. Pretty big crowds as well.
We moved to Cincinnati during COVID lockdown and have been looking forward to finally having a chance to make it to the zoo. It didnt disappoint! Some enclosures like the night hunters are closed right now but Id say 80% or more are open!
Obviously better when the world is normal but still okay for having to social distance and all that. My children love it, and no matter how many times we go, they always act as if it were their first. Definitely one of our favorite family activities ️
Mixed experience at the zoo. Wonderful to see most of the animals but many areas closed due to Covid. Sweltering weather and tough to find water on sale. Loved seeing our favorite animals though, just bring with your own water and snacks.
We went there today and the staff was great. However, I was less than impressed with the bird building. Especially the super small and artificial lighted Pinguin and duck „rooms“. These animals need natural lighting and not be locked inside with a sky looking painted ceiling. One of the ducks was swimming rapidly back and forth in the tub of water in that room. They looked distressed. I really hope they will do something more appropriate for these poor animals. We also observed an arctic fox which was totally distressed running along a small side of a fence trying to get out...I watched him for 20 minutes and all he did was run back and forth and just try to climb the fence at each end. It was heartbreaking to see. The animal looked totally distressed! It’s a nice park but again, some of the habitats need a more appropriate overhaul. This is about the animals!!!
So beautiful! The lights are amazing this year! Must see
A fun day with family. Never felt too close to others however we stayed outside. Painted dogs were very active!
A great zoo. The layout is confusing and you will need a map if you dont want to miss something. The manatee exhibit is closed for renovations.
My kids enjoyed it it was so much fun going back again.
The zoo is truly one of Cincinnatis gyms and I especially like the botanical garden portion of it. The people behind the zoo are innovative and dedicated to the zoo being one of the best around.
While designated entry times kept a crowd from forming at entry, it did mean that the zoo became more crowded as the day wore on. We had to skip some areas because of congestion, but I guess thats just the reality of 2020. I appreciated one-way traffic flow in certain areas.Otherwise, its a really lovely zoo! Lots of the animals were active during our visit, and we had a fun time walking around!
Amazing experience what a great day in cincinnati recommend
We were very impressed by the way the zoo is handling being open during the pandemic. They are functioning at half capacity with staggered entrance times to keep crowds down. The employees can be seen cleaning and wiping down surfaces as soon as people vacate tables. There are many signs leading you in one directional areas to keep foot traffic from stacking up. Masks are being worn. It was a nice visit.
I went mostly to see Fiona and was not disappointed. The zoo is great. I suggest you buy Fiona souvenirs by the gift shop right by the food court because I was so surprised that by the time I got to the exit about 10 minutes after closing they were putting everything away and I thought they would stay open a little later. I know people want to go home, but I also know the zoo needs our money we spend on souvenirs! Great zoo, good food, wonderful animals and stunning grounds
Loved bringing the kids to this zoo in years past! They have a reciprocal membership agreement with the Louisville Zoo so that made parking and tickets much better for members.
I havent been to this place in over 20 years. And it was amazing. I needed to rent a wheelchair for my sister and they had both manual and electric. Heads up though if youve never been here, there is a LOT of hills, plan to rent a motorized wheelchair if you struggle to walk long distances or wagons/strollers for small children.
Good zoo around Cincinatti area. We enjoyed all exhibits with variety of animals like giraffe, lion, cheetah, elephant, chimpanzees, hippo...etc, bird variety and variety of land and sea creatures. We enjoyed all shows especially the cheetah encounter where you can see a cheetah running at the highest speed. The 4D theater is below average and not recommended if you expect a good experience. The kids enjoy giraffe feeding. The train ride is also enjoyable though it’s self guided. Overall a place worth spending full day with family.
I have not planned a trip to the CINCINNATI Zoo and Botanical gardens as of yet. What I can see from a street view point it looks to me really beautiful, if you and your love ones are planning day of animal name games, or flower to plants search games, I suggest going to the zoo. This place is so nostalgic to me I must go as well.
Animals seemd well taken care of and most of them had really nice habitats to live in. The train, gorillas, kangaroos and hippos were our favorites, just wish we could have seen the baby rhino and manatees. Overall a very pretty and enjoyable zoo!
Absolutely delightful! Fiona makes my heart melt! Kangaroo encounters were the greatest!!
The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is absolutely a must-see. We enjoyed seeing the brand new hippo and the monkeys lions and giraffes oh my.
