Incredible place! We walked a great trail through the trees that lead us to an open area with swings and picnic tables with shelter. You could easily bring picnic food and a blanket to sit in the shade or sun. From this area, take the stairs up to the nature center. We were there on a Saturday afternoon, and it was closed...not sure if because of the time of day or because of covid. We also had fun walking around the lake. We didnt explore all of it, but we loved it and would gladly go back.
The park is gorgeous. Unfortunately, this isnt always the safest park. I didnt have a good experience today. I was alone. Someone came to me asking for money. He smelled of liquor. He continued to get as close as he could to me. He kept speaking about expensive purses. I didnt have one of those. Once I was able to walk to a location with other people, he backed away from me, he then acted normal and finally walked away from me. Ive known others to have similar complaints.
Great park to walk in, however, despite having plenty of trash cans around the park, its still full of trash. Its pretty nice to be in nature in a city such as Cincinnati; it has a decent disc golf course, and there isnt too much noise at the heart of the park.
Honestly never knew this park existed. Really cool little pathway by the waters edge along a duck pond in the center... only downside is that they have almost every entrance blocked at some point, so you have to legitimately drive around the entire perimeter on busy surface streets to get to where you want to go.Google maps also did a horrible job of getting us to the main parking lot.
Quiet, nice play area, walk along the lake and creek, plenty of seats on the stone walls. Wildlife and greenery are gorgeous. Boardwalks to the marsh. Can be muddy in areas. Lovely place my grandmother brought me in the 1960s and I now take my grandkids 2020! There is a nature center & planetarium here. TRY THIS BRING CARDBOARD AND RIDE THE CEMENT SLIDE.
Super pretty park and accessible in the Clifton area! Dont go at night alone though. But great during the day
Nice outdoor space. Some of the roads have been blocked from car access so plenty of space for kids to bike.
First time going here for Yoga in the park and didnt realize how large it is! I was actually late because I parked where you need a permit and didnt realize you can go another way to park elsewhere that was my fault so nothing bad to say besides maybe change Google maps to direct you to the other entrance if possible
A beautiful, clean and large city park; plenty of picnic tables, even a trail found right at the perimeter.
Good place to take kids to learn basics of fishing... they fill once a year and have bass crappie cats and bluegills. No bathrooms near lake
Beautifully located mins from the University of Cincinnati! Quiet and peaceful. Beautiful scenery throughout the wooded walking trails.
Remember this park when I was going up before it became so commercialized..remember college students laying in the grass studying and playing Frisbee ahhh the good ole days!! The 80s and 90s
The unpaved trails feel and smell lived in. Stick to the paved paths and roads. Good exercise either walking or running, with all the up and downs.
It was an amazing place for peaceful walks. Very good place to hangout with your loved ones.
Nice lil chilly damp. Peaceful
It has a nice short 9 hole disc golf course . Theres also a playground right by the two hr free parking
Went out to the Disc Golf clinic ran by Sean Tieman. Super fun time. Disc golf is blowing up.I am excited for the future of the burnet woods disc golf course with improvements and new holes.
Amazing place to build have family activities and even meet ppl.. Great place if you still like goin outside like i do
I came here for yoga in the park and it was a great location! My personal favorite thing about Burnet Woods is the concrete slide near the nature center.
Great place to hang out, and drink a 40 with the local homeless.
Always love coming hear just wish people would clean up behind them self.
The lake is looking wonderful. Very calming and inviting.
Had a family outing at the zoo and searched for the closest park to go have a picnic. Found this little park tucked away. Theres an amazing slide along the stairway leading to it. Looking forward to visiting again.
Nice place to have socially distanced lunch with a friend.
Nice place to take the family out and great location for a kids party
The park that defines Clifton! Woods to get lost in, areas to picnic and relax. Thankfully they also opened part of the road through it to walking!
Lovely place all four seasons. Peaceful lake and quiet trails. Time here is never wasted.
I have been walking in Burnet Woods for 25 years now and I am so happy to be able to walk my dogsand enjoy this 90 acre park in the heart of urban Cinncinnati daily .I published a photo book entitled Four Seasons in Burnet Woods which chronicles my healing journeys in the woods over the years as a gift of gratitude for this amazing green space which has been neglected in years past due to a lack of funding. My book is available at the Clifton Market and at Ace Hardware on Ludlow Avenue, Clifton.
Its an amazing place next to university of Cincinnati. Its a small forest in the middle of the city providing calm and distraction from the hustle and bustle of the city.I would call it, Cincinnatis best kept secret. It has amazing views and a decent sized playground with almost no visitors providing seclusion in the middle of the crowded ludlow and university. Its a must go for everyone.
We enjoy goin here wit r kids
I cant believe I rode past this park for years and didnt visit it. I really loved this spot. It was quiet and hidden perfectly. You can do anything from spend time with the kids or take a stroll with the dogs. I definitely plan on spending more time there. I love the pond and how its the perfect spot for reading a book and relaxing.
I was so nice there today but hot in some spots
Nice trails and play areas.
Burnet woods park and lake is an amazing place. During spring this place looks beautiful. People often come here for jogging and also for fishing in the lake. It also has small trails. This place is situated right next to University of Cincinnati main campus. Theres a BBQ station in the park too. So if anyones interested in having a BBQ party its free. And during fall you can also spot deer in the park.
Kind of sketchy, felt like i should have brought a knife. Id go to winton woods or mt. Airy.
Concrete slide is fun for the family
Wonderful place to relax and just be in nature.
It’s the best place to relax. Burnet Woods has the best view in every season may be its fall, spring or raining. A mesmerizing small lake for fishing, small slides for children to play and greenery to spend best day there.A place in heart of city which is cool, calm and relaxed. Best time to go is on weekends.
Place for an easy hike.. Got to see some birds and squirrels.. Not crowded.. Theres a slide for adults which is quite fun, but beware of getting your hands abraded.. The sides are a bit rough. A nice place to hang out with kids as theres a small play area with swings. Caught a shooting crew.
I loved it so will you take the family or go by yourself you will love it if you love being outdoors
Nice roads and paths, quiet, nice fishing.
Love the NA meetings there
Nice place to sit back and relax.
Green, hilly, pretty. There are a few picnic tables scattered about.
Its a great park. Clean for the most part besides a few questionable areas. I brought my kid and people are obviously dealing drugs. Creeps just sit there in their cars that dont have kids there and look at you in broad daylight. Not A great experience.
Wheres the park maintenance money going?
Nice place to sit and eat lunch or ice cream. Nice place to go walk or take children to play. Pond is nice got some big fish in it to if you fish
Fun little fishing puddle and great scenery
This is such a lovely oasis in the heart of Clifton. Beautiful trees and a lovely lake are a welcome respite from the heat and noise of the city. Sit on a bench or take a stroll either way it is peaceful. CACC offer Wednesday in the Woods which is a free concert series held at the bandstand in the parks center every Wednesday during the summer. Dont miss this slice of nature it will rejuvenate you.
Great place to have some outdoor fun!
Huge park. Great place to spend the afternoon. Within walking distance of UC & Ludlow District in Clifton.
Great place if you want to go for an evening walk and to click some pics
They should try and clean the branches up thats fallen into the pond, makes fishing not really great
Didnt have time to explore much, but looked like a nice park in the city
This park is an oasis in the heart of Clifton. Beautiful trees and a peaceful lake add to the quiet and restful atmospher. Concerts given under the tress at the band stand make for a fun and cool evening. There is plenty of parking as well as a nature center. Dont miss this local touch of nature.
Beautiful park next to UC campus. Would highly recommend checking out the nature center and any of the wolff planetarium events.
Nice to visit and calm place.
I tooka walk and fishing it was great
Great place to walk and see nature. Very rustic still and not busy. Good for a lunch break to relax or even an putting with the kids.
Excellent city park with a number of play spaces, including a long concrete slide. Also several shelters. No working fireplaces though.
Good quiet place to get away
Really enjoy holding cook outs here. If you just want to kick back and enjoy being outside this is the place. Close enough to Skyline and other places that you can easily have a place to hold a pic nic.
Beautiful park right next to UC.
Best place for long walks near University of Cincinnati
An older park in Cincinnati, but still in great condition. Love the concrete slide. Plenty of morning joggers, including female athlete teams from neighboring UC.
No functional rest rooms. Always out of order or closed.
Green n serene...
Nice woody park area near the Cincinnati University. One can go for long walks hikes.Places there for small get together.
Awesome park not very big but it on the campus of the university of Cincinnati. Lots around here to do.
Central Cincinnati forgotten gem. Enjoyed a hike and lake. Other than the creepy guys sitting alone in their cars, this is a great place to unwind...Just dont get to mad when when a guy ask for or to do a reach around.
Very nice location. Not huge but it does the job.. nice place jog.
Its a nice park to find right down the street from anywhere in town. Always feel safe.
Had an amazing time. I go here often. Tried fishing but was unsuccessful.. I dont think they maintain and stock the lake very well. But overall an amazing park
Spectacular sceneries in fall
We like to call it an Urban Oasis. It is the closest thing to being out in nature that you can get in this area. There is a little fishing lake that some pretty good-sized fish have been caught out of. There is a picnic area. There are swings. There are hiking trails.
I frequently visit this park. It is so scenic and it seems to improve every year! And Krohns Conservatory is right there along with Art museum and Play in the Park. What more could you ask for!
Needs to be cleaned and stocked with fish
Nice green space within the city
Practically grew up here, amazing nature space. Nice trails with a range of difficulty and a pond that can be fished in. It puts on nature camps for kids during the summer, those are very entertaining.
One of the most beautiful parks in Cincinnati for walking riding bikes and very kid friendly you enjoy a day with the family at this Park
Great chill spot. Free yoga on Saturdays at 11:15 May thru September by the pavilion. Nice little lake to walk around. Disc golf course needs care, but still playable
This is a wonderful and peaceful place for long walks, the trails are not very dense and good for beginners. Use of sun block and bug repellent is advised. There is a small water body where people can be seen fishing .
Beautiful...clean...
Nice quiet place to gather your thoughts.
Its a calm place to walk around. The lake here needs maintenance.
Very nice place to walk your dog and hit the trails
Just a ton of fun and friendly people. If you just love being on the water this is the place for you
